Absolute disaster from day one. Spent hours fiddling with settings, reconfiguring, reading google help, cleaning the print heads etc, etc and the print quality was abominable if it printed at all. Do not buy!!! Show details

Do not buy it – Installing it, especially connecting to your network requires a lot of swearing, dealing with Epson stupidity. Entering the network password is a challenge, very small screen, if you make wrong entry need to start again, and again, and again. Do not buy it, by saying that, others are probably not much better.

Do not waste money or time on Epson WF-2830 – If I could give a no score, I definitely would. Only have for a year, and it's crappy. Bought black ink that only lasted the day and used much due to blank pages printing. Error message constantly says to load paper or paper is loaded wrong. None of these are true. Happy Epson bf that lasted years. Never never again. Will go back to Canon, Dell or HP.

Piece of junk – I bought one from officework a year ago. The included cyan ink ran out so I replaced it with the genuine Epson ink cartridge (I bought a set). No matter what, it just wouldn't print the cyan even though there is no blockage. I spent so much time on the internet trying to figure out the error messages. Cleaning the print head etc. No luck. I bought… Read more

a new single cyan cartridge and the issue was still there. I sent it back to officework. Given that i still have brand new ink cartridges, i decided to give it another go. They sent me a replacement.

Well, when i replaced the included black ink this time, the printer just wouldn't detect the new ink. It kept asking me to replace it! This is the most frustrating experience ever. They are selling a product that probably has no hardware issue but software. This time i would ask for a refund BUT I'm just 10 days out of 1 yr warranty. Officework told me that i'm out of luck.

I truly cannot believe that it is even legal to sell a product that becomes landfill (an environment disaster) as soon as the included inks finish. My last printer (not epson brand) lasted me a good 7 yrs!

Absolute garbage – In an age where you can scan using a mobile phone app, this is just a waste of space. It can't seem to scan, and takes more than 10 minutes to scan a single page if you want it to be of decent quality, it uses a whole cartridge of ink to clean the ink nozzle, then asks you to buy more ink everytime you try to do ANYTHING with it. If you update the… Read more

firmware, it stops you from installing non-original EPSON cartridges. This is literally a scam. A brick that tries to sell you ink. Waste of time, waste of money, and waste of space. My life would have been improved significantly by not having this junk. I will try to improve my life by seeing if I can give mine away.

Terrible Printer – Terrible printer. Poor print quality. No matter how many times I have played with the settings It will not double side print. It keeps saying paper in Printer does not match settings. I have played with this more times than I can count. It just does not cut it even for a home printer. Show details

Piece of rubbish – Apart from connectivity problems, the main problem is that not only does it use a lot of ink, it also leaks ink underneath!I am lucky if I got 60 prints out of it and none were of high quality. Even the scanner quality is rubbish ( I also have an Epson v370 scanner which is really good).

Never had a problem in over 2 years – I had an old wired epson printer and updated to wf2830 in august 2020. I love it. Never had any problems really with either. Occasionally the auto feed jams but mostly because of the documents I put in. I also use generic cartridges from ink station. Very happy. Show details

Do Not Buy This Horrible Printer: Ships with a Built-In Malfunction to sell more ink – This product is a Scam. Do not buy this machine: it never works. It is Designed to never finish setup aborting and claiming the ink cartridges need replacement. It will ALWAYS claim the ink needs to be replaced, even after it HAS BEEN replaced. This scamware product is built to never work, but to force you to continually buy more ink to try to get it to work. Show details

Ok until it wasn't – This printer performed as expected until just out of warranty. It then started making noises, and saying there was a paper jam when there wasn't. It came up with a message to contact service centre - who were very responsive and helpful I may add - but as it was out of warranty it would cost to have it serviced. Unfortunately the nearest service… Read more

centre is 140kms away in Burnie when I live in Launceston - at current diesel thats $65 without even factoring in the service fee for a printer that wasn't expensive to start with. Super disappointed that something could keel over so quickly.

Epson WorkForce WF-2830 – I have always had Epson printers and enjoyed them all but not this one. To me this printer is always working against me. It dosn't like printing lots of sheets. It needs to be turned off the right way.

Don’t buy this – Not impressed at all. No capacity to copy or scan 2 sided to 2 sided. 2 Tech assistants tried to explain how to manually copy 1 sided to 2 sided - didn’t work. They told me I wasn’t following their instructions- I was. Would not connect to air print. Followed the manual instructions to air print. Didn’t work. To print from computer- issues with double sided. I got page 2 and 4 of a 5 page document. Show details

This printer is very bad – very unsatisfied, the ink is expensive and i get maybe 20 pages out before it starts showing lines and maybe 30 before it says one of the colors is out and you can't print until you replace all the cartridges Show details

Extremely unreliable – Prints ok, when it connects, however be warned it literally prints about 10 pages and needs an ink cartridge change, $70 a time. Scanning, do not get me started here, its poor, unreliable, all it ever says is problem scanning. Its garbage. Show details

Printer ink scam – Have been using this printer for the past few months, ran out of black ink and went and bought a new XL cartridge. Soon found out that because the colour ink cartridges had also run out that I was unable to print anything at all and need to also buy those as well even though I am not printing in colour. Very disappointed as I have not had this problem with previous printers. Show details

I hate this printer – I hate this printer. It runs out of ink in a blink. You go buy more ink for it only to run out again an a matter of a couple of days. And I don't do much printing. If you run out of yellow and want to print black only. Sorry, cannot go on until you replace the Yellow. There are always lines on the page when printing images. I used to be a fan of Epson printers but this is the last Epson Printer I will buy. Show details

DO NOT BUY. Poor value, fiddly, and criminally inefficient. Printed ten sheets before being told to replace cartridges – I bought this printer in the first lockdown and didn't set it up for ages because I didn't use Windows OS, which this seems to require. Finally got around to it once I'd got a new Windows laptop (and I have entered the date when I started using the printer rather than when I bought it, which was over one year earlier), it initially seemed fine but… Read more

was a bit fiddly to operate: I could not connect wirelessly, even when I used the cable it took a few goes each time to get it to register with my computer, and turning the printer "off" requires a subsequent confirmation. But, after printing out fewer that TEN SHEETS (and scanning a few things), the printer tells me I need to replace the ink cartridges!!!! I am taking it back to Officeworks today; there should be some kind of law protecting people (AND the environment) from such disgustingly wasteful products.

A Shocker – Bought one of these midway through 2021 to replace an older Epson Workforce (which was a great machine). Sadly, my WF-2830 is a lemon of the highest order. Constant connection problems, feeder for the scanner doesn't work properly (I have to use the flatbed) and eats ink like there's no tomorrow. I have ordered a new printer and will (literally and happily) throw this PoS in the bin. I'm giving it two stars because it does print okay. Sigh.

Stay Away - Absolute piece of rubbish – Have had nothing but problems with this printer - it always needs a firmware update, does not connect correctly to the computer when you need it to and is forever asking for more printer ink. To add insult to injury you can never find stock of the printer ink in your local Officeworks or other stationary store. Will enjoy throwing it off my balcony once I buy a new printer in the new year. Has been nothing but a nightmare to date. Show details

Do not buy this product – I have had nothing but problems with the Epson WF-2830. The primary issue is the constant need for product updates and the consistent communication failures with my Surface Pro laptop. I endeavour to keep all my systems up to date, but the Epson is the consistent weak link. I have wasted hours trying to scan documents. When it works, the quality… Read more

is OK. But, this product is just too time consuming and unreliable. I will not be lured by Epson's low price point again.

Do Not Touch - Look For Something Else – Awh, where to start. I have owned this for about 10 weeks and purchased the unit after having such a good run with an earlier model WF-3640, and assumed this being a later model should perform equally as well. The cartridges are incredibly inefficient and will send you to the poor house real quick, and i am constantly running a print head… Read more

alignment to obtain a decent print. Have not used any after market cartridges.

If you are printing perhaps 1 or 2 pages a month, this will probably do, but if its more like 10 pages plus a month - steer well clear!

I'm about to throw this one in the rubbish bin and never look back!

Epson WF2830 Excellent Buy !!! – Bought Epson WF2830 from Officeworks ! Product value for money and meet my expectation - Print/Scan/Copy. Print quality is good and the printer is compact enough to fit my small table. I would recommend anyone looking for compact/value for money to get it from Officeworks ! Show details

Ok but has its shortcomings – After 2 months of intermittent use. First, the menu screen is really small. Bad design. There is enough space to have larger screen. One has to tilt machine up to read the screen. Second, I use the scan function a lot, with cable connection to laptop. Changing scan file name is a 3 step process. One should be able to change file name on first… Read more

screen. Not with Epson 2830. One has to select settings for a pop up screen to change file name. Third, setup to scan from Auto Doc Feeder with cable connect has problems. Lets me scan once, then asks to select cable or wireless for following scans and beeps error when selecting either of the choices. 2830 fails to recognise cable connection. Only way to get around, I find, is to shut down, restart or scan off glass.

Love this! Small, efficient and great use – I purchased this as we were all starting to work from home. I needed a printer and scanner for the work i did. It needed to also be small and easy to connect in the home office. This product was great. I have been using it a lot since purchase and the print and scan quality is great. Show details

Truely Home Printer – Design is elegant, fit for a living room, very quiet. Print quality is excellent, and reliable, has not experienced paper jam. The LCD could be larger. Printer tick all boxes. Show details
