Great experience. Perfect from start to finish. Dispenser Mel was incredible.

Damon and his team are all fantastic, extremely helpful and friendly. The test was very thorough and I was given explanations the whole way through the test and when choosing my new spectacles and learning about the lenses.

I only moved to this optometrist as I was looking for somewhere closer to my new home. This experience was appalling from start to finish. Firstly, and as a pensioner, Medicare have always provided one (free) eye test per year. After my eye test I was charged $150! When I mentioned that I am entitled to a free eye test, I was very dismissively told “well not at this practice!”.

There was no discussion to be had and I was obligated to pay even though the eye test was very substandard!

For a man supposedly at the top of his game as an optometrist, the experience was comical if it weren’t so important.

Very little of the testing that I’m used to having done was undertaken with a very basic eyesight test.

The only testing he did was a sight test… no pressure test, nothing else, and to add insult to injury, I had to hold the testing glasses on my face because despite numerous bumbley attempts by him to secure them in position, they kept falling off my face, quite literally.

I have since had my eyes re-tested by two other professionals - one an Ophthalmologist!!

The test results were dramatically different.

His script was way out and in fact the Ophthalmologist that looked at the results literally threw them across the room and said they were rubbish! He explained to me that that script would’ve damaged my eyes and caused me headaches! He was very annoyed.

Btw The second optometrist and the Ophthalmologist’s scripts were identical (and these two do not know each other).

Be wary. These people are all about the ‘sell’!

There are some really good optometrists - this is not one of them.

In addition I mentioned to him that I was seeing an eye specialist in regards to cataracts…

The second optometrist I saw sent a letter to my eye specialist recommending that he see me again quite quickly. Not quite sure why because I haven’t seen him yet, but Ezekiel couldn’t care less!

PS: It’s made me realise how good my original optometrists are, and I will be making the drive from now on!

I think people just don’t know any different… It was definitely an important (but expensive) exercise for me!
