Love this little sander – I love this thing, it’s so compact and the dust extraction from the CDIMidi is exceptional. I’m going to get the orbital 125mm for my bigger projects

Gets me out of a tight corner – Normal Festool quality with strong motor and all accessories. Front leading edge could be stronger as it showed wear after first use.

Hi Peter Thanks for your review. The DTS has a 2mm sanding stroke and is designed as a finish sander that doesn’t require a lot of pressure on the sanding pad. If a user is seeing wear in the sanding pad we would recommend to drop down to a courser abrasive, rather than placing excessive pressure on the pad. It can also help, depending on the material being sanded ,to reduce the speed slightly so the abrasive cuts into the surface more aggressively. Hope these tips help! Michael, Festool
It’s a perfect small tool – It can be used in most small places just the right tool for our operation

Hi A1 Finishes. Glad to hear you are happy with the DTS sander. These are great tools and are designed to give a great finish in a minimal amount of time. Thanks for the review! Cheers Michael. Festool
Good Detail Sander – Sands well, but doesn't have the power of the geared RO or the RO. Dust extraction is very good, but not as good as the Slipstream2 models. You'll find you will need more aggressive grit than with the bigger orbitals.

Hi Handyman Glad to hear you like the DTS 400. Festool put a lot of effort into making these tools and especially, making them safe with the best dust extraction we can! When you get the orbital 125, I'm sure you will love it just as much! Cheers!
