Fido's Fre-Itch Rinse Concentrate

This product is by hands down the best on the market to keep parasites away. I use it on my rats. I've been using Fidos for years... Unfortunately small animals are prone to mites and lice. Fidos does a great job at keeping them off my ratties. Show details
Sadly it didn’t work on my two – First time user. I was really hopeful it would work but both my dogs are still madly scratching, even before it dried on them they were scratching. Another sleepless night with scratching restless dogs. I’d love a non toxic solution to flees, I was really hoping this rinse was my answer. Show details
Work well & is not toxic like some products! – Product works well when used as directed. I used it for years on dogs & horses. But you have to remember to spray bedding & all other places the dog frequents, especially any dirt or sand they lay on. Now I need it to get lice off my poultry. They got them from wild birds that frequent my hen house for a feed! Will edit after I see results. Show details
I use this for my guinea fowl, turkeys, chickens & rabbits & have found it to be very effective against mites & lice – No adverse reactions. I dilute it at the recommended rate and spray them with it. I prefer it to powder because it's less irritating for their delicate lungs. Good stuff. Show details
No good – First time user, my dogs had never had fleas before and after giving them a routine bath with dog shampoo I found a bunch of fleas. I pulled off majority of them and I went and bought this Fido flea product from petstock and mixed 40ml product with 4 Litres of warm water and applied the whole lot directly onto my dog and dipped its collar into the… Read more
solution. I did this for 3 dogs (using 120ml of product) and 2 days later (today) my dogs are scratching again. Another wash with dog shampoo and more live fleas on them. I do not recommend.
Works wonders for small animals – My vet recommended this product for my pet rats who were suffering from mites. Within a week their sores were healed and they weren't constantly scratching anymore. Will buy again if this reoccurs! !
Fleas survived drenching! – I soaked my two standard poodles with this. Unfortunately it did not kill all the fleas.. Some perhaps but was pretty much a waste of money as it needs to be ALL to make it worthwhile! And the smell was pretty horrid.
Pets smell delicious with FIDOS. All pets should have that fidos scent!!! :-) – Again, as previously stated, I'm a fidos fan. This rinse states it lasts up to 3 days, but I find 2 days is as good as you will probably get. Having said, we have 3x dogs in the one house hold, and they are walked 1x 2x a day, and in dog parks/ bush area/ in contact with other animals, so I don't think we will ever sort the fleas out for good! … Read more
(they have their own washing machine *groan*) so they get it pretty good.
The recent rain and humidity has meant we are having a localised flea onslaught, so I have tried another oral product to support the fidos products. Not impressed with that, will stick with the fidos. This stuff is pretty gentle on their skin and one of my dogs can be a scratcher regardless of his flea status, and it doesn't seem to bother him. After using I often find dead fleas on them, and even the next couple of days.
I have found another product with the same active ingredients (but to quote the shop lady) "it doesn't smell as good as fidos" which I am going to try 'cause of the current Flea War being raged in our household! I will miss the smell, but happy to save the $$$ that the alternate brand offers.
In my cons I note that the products are branded and marketed in similar packaging. I have mistakenly purchased a herbal rinse instead of the itch free concentrate. Due to the cost of the product I wrote to the company providing them with that feedback. I received an excellent response which has only increased my admiration for this product.
In short this stuff does work, if you follow the directions! I find if I mix up approx 2.5litres with 3x capfuls of product (ie it states 1x cap per 800ml of water) the 2.4/2.5litres will do 3x dogs, a shep and 2x standard foxies, so a 500ml bottle lasts a fair while. Can't say enough that I love the scent! Does work with out wrecking animal's skin. Only issue it looks very similar to their herbal rinse have been known to buy the wrong one. expensive mistake!
