Eh, not impressed – We bought a house with this dishwasher in it. We loved the fact that it was a drawer and we could do 2 loads at the same time and it seemed fancier then we were used to BUT realized that the water comes from the bottom and it flips over our kids plastic cups and then won't wash them properly then we have to rewash them. We noticed it doesn't clean… Read more

the dishes as well as we had hoped. It is very loud. The water seems to never completely drain so it sits at the bottom of the dishwasher. The heating element doesn't seem great bc the dishes are still pretty wet when we take them out, which is not a huge deal. I have slowly disliked this dishwasher and after seeing these other reviews I am not the only one. It's OK. Not as amazing as I had hoped.

average – I have been using this for 6 months or so now because i have been staying in a rental and i find its ok but quite loud so i would not offer this to you if you had young children. I don't mind a good dish draw but it is extremely loud and doesn't fit as much dishes in as you need.

Junk – Just replaced one of these after 3 years of use. Had problems with it on a regular basis. Hardly ever cleaned the dishes properly. The double drawer system reduces the size of the items that can be put in it. The unit finally killed itself by fusing the motor to the base of the drawer and drilling itself a hole in th e bottom of the drawer, thus… Read more

Terrible – Save your money, unless you want a boat anchor. Total waste of money. your better off buying one of the cheap $300.00 dishwashers and throwing it away in a few years. Spoke to supplier about these and even their customer service say they have a lot of trouble with them. Buyers Beware this is a [censored word removed] product Double dish drawer… Read more

is hany to use and can double as another pot drawer. Sleek looking Well after the looks thats where it stops. Noisy and always breaking down...not very efficient and extremely costly when it needs repairing. F&P are the onlky ones who will touch them....just go to any repairer and look out the back they have more of these in the scrap heap than anyone.

Terrible – 2 out of 10. 1 point for polite call centre staff. 1 point for polite repairmen. Zero points for the product. But when you staff can't even defend the product you're in trouble F&P! Idea is good. . . but. . . reality is different. Always breaking down. Could have bought the thing twice over in only 4 years with the cost of call outs! Apparently… Read more

Terrible – We bought the dishwasher brand new and didn't skimp on price thinking we were buying some quality, if I had my time over I wouldn't have. There are only two people using the machine, so you could say that it hasn't had the hardest life. However we have had to replace the pump on the bottom draw twice. We have also had to replace a faulty… Read more

element and temp sensor, it now looks like it has finally given up the ghost, luckily we were at home, the top draw was halfway through a wash when we heard a loud pop and crackling noise followed by the smell of burning plastic and small amount of smoke. We disconected the power and called F&P who have booked a techo to come out and have a look, can't wait to see how much this is going to cost.

I think it may be time to upgrade but it won't be any F&P product. The look of washer was good, able to wash separate loads.

Telephone operators have been polite. Size of draws, Larger pans are a pain to wash, Loads have to be organised well to fit a reasonable amount of dishes. Have to be very careful not to have anything sharp sticking up otherwise you will damage the draw seal when you close the drawers.

Terrible – Don't buy. A piece of junk, that will need replacing sooner than you thought. Anyone want to buy a secondhand dishwasher? Its only 5 years old. Going cheap. Twin drawers good idea, good wash cylcle lengths (on old circuit board) and drys very well. 5 years old and both drawers now broken down and not going to bother to repair. Top drawer had… Read more

circuit board replaced just out of warranty, and the new (more efficient) board had shorter was cycles and didn't wash as well, so had use heavy wash all the time. The top drawer has leak, and both drawers washing motors have fallen apart. Plastic is not a very good product to use to hold a motor winding together. Noisy to use and very expensive to purchase and repair.

Seven years of frustration – Dishdrawer Model DD603SS. Aug 07 - motor burnt out after machine started with drawer open Nov 07 - motor burnt out December 07 - not draining properly April 08 - electrical problem and not closing properly June 08 - per above - not draining July 08 - display going on spontaneously - not completing cycle. July 08 - not draining, stops one… Read more

minute into cycle. Starts when power switched off on drawer.

Sept 08 - not draining. As above.

Technician advised that the model had a very narrow outlet pipe - too narrow for the job it was supposed to do. Advised that every dish should be completely rinsed of 'everything that wouldn't melt', in other words - washed, before going in to the dishwasher. On this advice, the dishwasher stayed alive (without much use as we were away much of the time). Very annoying to wash all the dishes before putting them into your expensive "dishwasher". It still caused trouble a couple of times, which we managed to fix without a technician.

Aug 11 - Not draining - technician called.

Today - 14 March 12 - stopped working. Error message.

When it finally dies we'll buy an Asko, recommended by a few friends.

Pretty much everything.

Expensive Rubbish! – It's just five years old, really well looked after, and already we have spent $250 on parts. It is now showing the F1 Fault in the top drawer and the bottom drawer simply won't turn on! Service Techs in our area refuse to service them as they are not worth the time, effort and cost - we were advised to cut our losses! Quite like the dishdrawer concept. For the price - it should have lasted longer and been much more reliable.

Love this dishwasher! – My parents had this dishwasher when I lived at home. I loved it so much that when I bought a house I got rid of the brand new dishwasher it came with and bought second hand dish drawers! Very easy to use, dishes come out great and I don't ever have to hand wash anything, even after a roast! Separate drawers

Terrible – Throw this away, don't touch it with a barge pole. Why would F&P release a product that is so flawed and claim it was worth money?? What a misstake this was. Stick with the well known brands like Asko or Westinghouse. Was a good idea at the time After two years the motor and main board blew, costing more that the dishwasher was worth to repair it.

Excellent – Have had the dishwasher for nearly nine years and found it very reliable- had no problems with it and never needed any repairs. OK – looks great, is quiet; however would not buy it again as the washing cycle is too long. no water is being applied from top of drawer hence long washing cycle. top score for looks! very long washing cycles, as there is no water dispensing from top of drawer like the other washers have.

Terrible – The overall concept of a 2 drawer dishwasher is terrific. The execution is rubbish. Save yourself from heartache. Oh, and don't try and complain to customer service - they're powerless. The concept of a dishwasher that has doesn't require bending and can do light loads is terrific, but the execution is faulty. The repairment (whom you WILL… Read more

come to know well) are polite, personable and well versed in the myriad of flaws. I have spent over a thousand dollars in repairs - some of which take 6 weeks to fulfil. The number of countless flaws in the electrical systems will keep you poor. The customer service and supply chain management is appalling - they don't keep all their parts in stock so they wait until there is a need, then bulk order the parts from China (hence the 6 week wait).

Excellent – Not sure what others are complaining about re clogging of filters, unable to use Powerballs and repairs required. Perhaps people should not load washing machines caked with food! is very easy to clean & access if required) unless it's the paper sticker off a new container I've washed.

I have never, ever had any trouble with this machine. Never had a repairer around to fix, and I have had it for years. I have had dealings with F&P service when ordering 'extras' for other F&P products that I own, and have never had anything but pleasant service, and very prompt delivery.

Highly recommended. Two drawer, no bending over, easy to stack, easy to use (one button operation), no cleaning of filters required, no problems whatsoever.

Terrible – I wanted to add a comment about the positive reviews that appear on this product. It seems that all the happy people here have only had the product up to the 2 year point. That is, whilst still in warranty - I wonder if they would still be happy after the warranty runs out with the constant expensive repairs that are looming just beyond the… Read more

warranty. The common complaint aired on this product seems to be be high cost of the product, the poor product build and the authorized F&P repairman that says just buy a new machine because it isn't worth repairing. My experience is the same as many other dissatisfied people here.

P.S. we are mature users without kids at home and we do clean the filter, etc., - it is a poor quality unit not poor users that cause the problems. And their F&P refrigerator also gave us similar repair problems (now disposed of thank goodness) Looks good and a good concept (in principle) Breaks down too often and too costly to purchase and repair

Good – Hasn't been bad. It's a bit tight for space but outweighed by 2 drawer advantage. Technician out once to fix. Also one drawer wouldn't properly close once but instruction book showed how to get the drawer out, I just checked everything and put it back in and it closed properly again. Overall wife and I are quite happy. Had for more than 5 years.… Read more

Clever design and handy to keep dirty and clean dishes in rotation. Good as you can be cleaning one load and just use the other to store dirty dishes keeping the kitchen benches clean. No doubt the more smaller cycles means it chews more electicity and dish washing powder. Have had a technician out as it broke once. Also it has sometimes randomly turned itself on in the middle of the night a few times. Very strange but we just turn it off at the wall when we remember.

Bad – LEMON. Cheap parts were used to make this dishwasher sellable but it doesn't last long. Lemon from the beginning when it burnt out within a week of having til now. Expensive to fix.

Terrible – I would never buy a F&P again. It really is pointless having a dishwasher that leaves the dishes dirty. F&P service was fast and they were quick to send out a repairman though. Terrible – Too expensive, R&D is obviously poor as the dishwasher keeps breaking down. Not a tried and proven product. Firstly, This is a dishwasher NOT an Air Conditioner. Bad – All up DishDrawer has many problems but the service in fixing these problems was brilliant, and at the end of the day I was presented with a new machine. I only need to use one drawer. It cleans my dishes very well and I have no problems with debris. I got a extended warranty with a no lemon policy and this was a very clever move as I have many problems with this machine. The service backup however during fisher & paykel's cover was always extremely good with problems fixed quick and efficiently until the initial warranty was expired. The DishDrawer is always breaking down. I have had problems with F1 (water leaking), although it could have been times the kids overloaded it. I have had F2 problems and the motor in one drawer replaced as well as the top section that locks drawer shut. All up I have had 5 of the plastic shelves and the filter catch replaced because the the little catches that hook to the machine have broken. Anyway after warranty period ended with Fisher & Paykel l turned to the extended warranty company and after several breakdowns later they called in my lemon policy and replaced the machine.
