Fisher & Paykel 389L Vertical

Quality fridge for its price – No major issues with fridge since purchase. Was brought to supplement fridge space in household. Initially was not keeping food cool enough, so the settings needed to be turned up to the almost highest. Other than that no major problems. Would recommend this fridge for family use. Keeps vegetables well, aside from previously mentioned issues at the start of use.

Upright Fisher Paykel freezer – I have had an upright fisher paykel for approx 10 years and it didnt miss a beat until recently because of its age just going to buy another. I have had a fisher paykel wasing machine and fridges as well. I had ongoing problems with with both these white goods I contacted fisher paykel they sent there own people out to investigate and couldnt have asked for better service they replaced the parts again which would have been around 4 separate occassions never cost me a cent. I now have a new washer and fridge fisher paykel again working fantastically. I definietly will continue with this brand.

Has proved to be an expensive mistake – Purchased the fridge and freezer as a pigeon pair late in 2007. Freezer repaired under warranty 2008 and still working. The fridge however was repaired under warranty two months after purchase and has since needed repair on three occasions at our expense. According to the Harvey Norman service agent the problem has been in the sensors and was replaced once then fixed again 10 months later by him. Two months ago we had a similar problem, compressor going but not cooling the fridge. We had a new service man check it out and discovered the sensor terminals had been bridged out by your service agent. He replaced a few parts and we enjoyed the fridge going well since September, but once more it does not cool below 14 degrees C. It has proved to be very unreliable and we feel let down by not having competent service available for this fridge. It's size and looks. Constant repairs, ineffective warranty service, was a lemon from the start.
Great family sized freezer E388LWW – We have the E388LWW freezer, and its fantastic! Frost free makes for easy cleaning. Its huge and has 6 drawers that hold alot of food! We purchased this freezer as it matches our fridge, and have not been dissapointed with it. Door beeps if left open which is handy (as I have accidently left the door slightly open a few times already) But I think we just need to adjust the feet to tilt the freezer back slightly. Would love it alot better if it had a light (do freezers ever have lights inside?) A friend commented that it would be better if it had clear drawers to see whats inside easier, but I think this would be pointless as they would probably just fog up. I haven't had a problem with it, I have organized a good system and know which drawer holds what. Its a big freezer, and might not suit someone with not much space in their kitchen, but I love mine. Great design, big size suits my big family. Frost free. Price, approx $1400. Would love a freezer with a light inside!

Fab Freezer. Does a great job just like a freezer is meant to .Freezers don't have lights.
Stylish good working freezer with drawers! – Stylish looking freezer, with matching fridge. We grabbed the joiner kit for another $120 which makes them look as one. Freezer has stacks of space with wire drawers (you can get heaps more in drawers vs shelves. Its fan forced, and the fan turns off when door is open. Has open door open alarm which is loud and very annoying. The freezer isn't as quiet as one would expect from a new freezer, but it no way is it excessively noisy. Once its in the built in cabinet its fine, but if your in a studio apartment etc, just be aware of this.
You can't open and close the freezer quickly as the door sticks shut immediately, and you feel like your going to tear the handle off the door to get it open.
The bottom drawer is not as deep as the other drawers as a warning, but the freezer is so huge is doesn't matter. There is one tray on top for the ice trays. The F&P ice trays are the best ice trays i have ever used. Definitely try to get a extra 2 if you can.
The freezer has never frozen up, nor mechanically failed. The stainless that F&P have used doesn't mark easily, but still marks and really dirty hands. I only wipe it down once a week or two, whereas a friend has another brand, and she is wiping it down several times a day!
Overall, great freezer, reliable and huge. It is quite tall, so if your a shorty, this model may not be for you. My parents have the same freezer but in a smaller model and it behaves exactly the same as mine.
Stacks of space for all the normal goodies, so no need for the deep freezer as well.
I wish it had a light, but given its drawers, i don't know how that would work. Reliable, stylish, huge Door sticks shut really hard
Purchased at Harvey Norman for $1,500.
