Yes - we use it to rest food after cooking so the food does not cool down too much. The only issue is that the warming drawer is not very deep (about 60mm high) so you can't really use it to keep a whole roast or a whole chicken hot as they are too large.

Thanks. That is what I thought when I purchased it but the instructions say not to because the condensation can damage the warmer.
