Works better on Windows 7 – Originally was set up on Windows XP in 2006 and it was hard to get the software to perform all its tasks , but since the upgrade to a Windows 7 2011 computer and installing Window7 drivers it is going great.Drivers were easy to install from the Fuji Xerox site and replacement toners are very easy to install and surprisingly cheap for genuine parts. Good toner life and well built Very heavy Show 2 replies
Great Printer, if I can find the driver that works – It is has been working very well until I needed to find the driver. Going to the website allows me to download a driver, but for the life of me I cannot get it to install. Good Networking, reasonable quality printing Needs better support
Good – I have had this printer for 1 year now. Purchased for $272.30 after $100 cashback from Xerox. No issues with the claim process from Xerox. This printer was a great value buy. It has never failed me yet. Gets used every day, but my usage is low at approx 100 pages per month. No paper jams to date. By-pass tray easy to load up with paper. All four… Read more
computers on my home network have never had any issues printing to it. Due to it's loud operating sounds, you know its working from anywhere in your home. After approx 3 months of use, the Low Toner message for Cyan colour started flashing on the display panel. I just ignored it and 9 months later I am still ignoring it. Been told that HotToner.com.au is a good place to purchase toner refill kits for $120. Replacement toner cartridges are more expensive at around $310. Toner is not cheap, so I will be buying the refill kit and just ignore any messages on the display relating to toner. For me, this printer is cheaper to run per page than my old Canon i550 inkjet printer. After using a colour laser, I am not going back to inkjets. I am very happy with the output from this printer. I rate it 5 for print quality and 3 for size and noise levels, making a 4 rating overall. Cheap to purchase, high quality network printing, large range of different papers can be used. Very large. The size of the box it comes in is huge. If you only have a small car, I suggest you unpack it in the shop and just take the printer home. Very noisy when printing. Large footprint. Constant message saying Cyan toner is running low for past 9 months.
Best Printer i Have ever owned.... and still going after 34000 prints! – All those guys with bad experiences and jamming.... buy the correct paper and all your problems go away! This little beast is awesome. we use it at home and with a business, it pumps out thousands of pages all the time. our only let down was bad paper, and cheap toner. Now that we're back on the original toner, we probably have a single page jam… Read more
every 5000 prints, if that! No joke.... our report states less than 10 paper jams in the entire printer life! (over 34,000 prints to date)
When i had the drum die, the guy at the computer shop said he wanted to buy the printer from me because they are the best little SOHO printer he had ever come across, and was wanting it because he couldn't find a new one as they have been made obsolete. Not a chance! I like it too much. Toner lasts forever whenit is set to tonersave mode.... try just under 8000 pages from a single 4K black toner!!! Now thats value!
If you find one.... buy it and look after it with Xerox toner and Xerox paper....it will last forever! Fast, efficient printer, great toner and drum life. Inexpensive to run. Cost of the replacement drum was like buying a whole new printer!
Excellent – A great printer overall, and certainly performs well. Would be improved if it could still print black when a colour toner cartridge has run out. At the moment, when any one toner runs out, the whole unit stops until it is replaced. This can be annoying when printing black and white only. Excellent print quality. Churned out a huge job for my… Read more
daughter's school magazine (like, 7 hours non stop) without a paper jam or any hint of problems. A little noisy and clunky for a home based office. Can't talk on the phone in the same office while printing. Occasional 'phantom' paper jams but that could be humidity issues.
Excellent – I agree with everything that DPaech has said! The "phantom" paper jam is linked to humidity, of that I am certain - I have never had to extract twisted paper from the innards of the machine. It will do the "phantom" paper jam if you haven't used it for a week or so, and all you do is open the paper tray, and remove the top sheet of paper from… Read more
the feeder. I have had mine for a bit over a year in a home office environment (with children accessing it), and no problems whatsoever. In fact, I am still on the OEM half-filled toner cartridges! When a cartridge finally needs replacing, I have to make a decision whether I purchase replacement cartridges from a non-OEM supplier for about $800 for KCMY, or do I just turf this machine, and get an up-to-date equivalent from Fuji Xerox. I am stocked with this machine, and its reliability, quality, and performance, and FX have snared me as a customer for life, for a mere $380 or so. Well done! Superb print quality, economy, I like everything about it, except....... Its weight, noise, and occasional phantom paper jams!
Terrible – What I thought of as a great printer turned into a Lemon Lines in output - even after I changed the drum & toner (only done 2k sheets) FujiXerox want half the price of the printer to look at it and they'll then want to charge for any parts and labour to remedy it which will perportedly about the same price as the C1100 current unit!! It would… Read more
appear that the problem may lie in the electrostatic transfer (power unit) Network printing - purportedly great quality at a good price Exceptionally high service costs just after warranty expires.
Terrible – Please buy anything else!!!costly to upkeep, when you change all the cartridges it then wants you to change the drum 260.00+++ the print quality has become very average if not barely readable.drivers are unstable.i only printed 9066 pages in 1.5 years mostly bw and it gave up today sunday.i usually print about 50 invoices per week!!! colour when… Read more
you need the new drum is upwards of 260 dollars same for each of colour cartridges.
the drivers sometimes decide to let go and it overall unstable on my system , when you really need to print somethingimportant such as invoice in b and w its just doesnt print.i am constantly adding paer as it only takes afew blanks.i d never recommend it to anyone!!!
Terrible – Buying this printer was the worst decision I have ever made in hardware purchase. If you need a good budget laser colour printer, consider spending a little more and buy some other good model. You don't have to spend critical money on a product that hardly lasts for a year. Great entry price. The print quality keeps on degrading until the drum has… Read more
to be changed once in six months (at least for us). And the drum costs a hell when compared to the printer price. It always ends up like paying almost the printer cost for replacing the drum and the cartridges.
Terrible – Do not buy this printer, it has to be the worst printer ever made. It was the worst decision we ever made to buy it. It has caused so many headaches and fights in the family. Fuji Zerox should pay us for inflicting such a piece of [censored word removed] on us! I honestly can not say a good thing about this printer. If it worked it would be… Read more
great as when it has printed the product is great, but it just never works. NONE. If it prints it is great All this printer does is jam. We are lucky if we can get 1 page printed without a Jam. All this printer does is chew up the paper and waste hours of your time.
Worst printer ever made! – It's quite good quality IF it prints, but quite literally 99/100 it simply just doesn't work. It's such a crap printer, and as a student it's annoying because I have assignments to print and it's so unreliable, I just end up print at school. This is a really really really bad printer, ~ don't buy it! nothing....actually it's good at screwing up seriously everything, no joke
Good – Just a comment re the ceramic decal related review above that I just read: the decal has to go over a glazed surface and be fired at a certain temperature: If the laser printer uses laser toner (which has iron oxide in it) and the decal paper going through it is proper, then it is not about the printer, it is about what you are putting the decal… Read more
on and the temperature it is being fired... Good quality print, can get ink refills cheaply, has worked for over a year just fine with paper jams being very, very rare. For small home office business is just perfect. When you send a US Letter size doc to it to print A4 it prints first 2 pages, then beeps incessantly until you press cancel. This happens all the time. There is no way to just feed the paper. This is pretty managable as problems go, just have to make sure the page set up is correct.
