Good but Redundant for Windows 10 – Good printer, but Fuji Xerox website says printer is now redundant. Why must I throw away a perfectly good working printer, scanner and photocopier in the landfill and contribute to green house emissions and waster?

Still excellent after 10 years – I'm very surprised at all the negative reviews on here. I bought this in September 2011 for around $330 after a succession of unreliable inkjet printers and it's been the best printer I've ever owned by miles. It's been totally reliable, has decent quality printing (including quite nice colour images when used with heavier glossy paper) and,… Read more

unlike others on here, I've never had any reliability issues with the WiFi or scanning functions. It's used on a daily basis as the family workhorse printer, and I also use it most days for scanning receipts etc. to a NAS device on my network. I just downloaded the driver from the Xerox web site and it's working fine with my new 2021 M1 MacBook Pro running the latest Mac OS Monterey. In 10 years the only maintenance issue I've had was an error a couple of years ago that required me to clean one of the sensors at the back with a cotton bud. I always use genuine Xerox toner. The only minor annoyances I've encountered are (a) it doesn't do automatic duplex, although with the Windows driver you can do this by manually re-inserting the pages part way through, (b) if you tell it that it's loaded with US Letter paper when it's actually A4 and print a US letter document it will jam every time and (c) sometimes (perhaps once every couple of months) it doesn't wake from sleep and has to be switched on and off. I hope it lasts forever as it seems very hard to get anything similar from Xerox now in Australia.

Best I ever had – Best printer I ever had. Purchased 5 years ago and never had a issue with it. I operate the printer on wireless without a problem. Toner catridges I get from Honkong for $44.00 a set and they are excellent. I have been in IT for 25 years and had many printer but this printer is the best I ever had.  Show details

redundant since windows 10, great before that – This was great with windows before windows 10. Since then have many issues getting scanner recognised or even printer by the system. Must manually put in UP address and then must use docuworks software to scan. Then must convert files. Bothersome and time consuming, I have not used wireless so cannot review.  Show details

Worst ever – Rubbish if you want to use it. Won't connect to the computer, use WPS, scan to Mac, print documents, etc. Absolute waste of money and time. I would never, ever, in my life, get another Fuji printer. Manual was helpful, if I only used iOS. Great as a paperweight. Or as a way to smash windows. Or for anger management.  Show details

The absolute worst printer imaginable – Let's get the positives out of the way first: 1. It powers on when you flick the switch. 2. It sits stably upon the desk. 3. It powers off when you flick the switch again. Now the negatives: 1. Wireless networking is next to impossible, frequently dropping the connection. 2. It chews through the toner (which is expensive)… Read more

like no tomorrow.

3. It paper jams approximately every second page.

4. It constantly gets confused about paper sizing (A4 and US) and then reprints the first page over and over.

5. The scanner doesn't work - never has.

6. It now occupies way too much space in my rubbish bin.

In all seriousness, I've had this printer for about two years. It printed beautifully for the first six months. Since that time it has been an utter hindrance and caused endless headaches and frustration. Tonight I cracked. Yanked the cord. And tossed it into the rubbish bin. I'll never get a Fuji Xerox again.

Great copier – I have owned my Fuji Xerox for 5 years, has not given any problems at all. Not using WiFi so unable to review this. My only negative point would be that it needs all cartridges working. Solved this by keeping a spare set on hand. Excellent colour reproduction, great for a small office situation.  Show details

It is IMPOSSIBLE to use wifi to print from this printer – Sadly I bought this printer so that I could print wirelessly, but it is frankly impossible. There is painfully poor support, and I would strongly recommend NOT buying this printer unless the wifi is not important. It is diappointing that a company like Fuji Xerox would not do a better job making this printer do the job it is advertised to do.  Show details

A Problem every day – Prices for the printer itself are fine, refills are fine but this product has one massive down factor. It's reliability. I sware, every time i come to use this product there is always something wrong with it. One day a sensor, the next a jam, the next it doesn't pick up jobs from the computer even though its both wirlessly and manualy set up. Terrible product, don't purchase.  Show details

Good allrounder for price and specs – Colour match was good. Had a couple of jams, my own fault mostly with foreign object in the infeed and some dodgy paper. Performs much better than ink ones I had before. I print maybe 120 to 180 pages a month, mostly B&W with full colour Logo 4x6cm on 75% of the pages, a few Maps, and the colour toners last me a year and 2 months, the Black a bit… Read more

less. Quality of scan and copy is very good. so running costs are pretty reasonable with Original toner and very cheap for compatible inks (about 6 cents plus paper)... but I have heard some bad stories about non original inks so I don't use. Had mine for a bit over 3 years.

don't use the wi fi,

Pretty sure the "Reviewers" with PVT and only 1 message are either competitors or just bored Trolls.... (eg I had like 20 of theses...?

A crappy infuriating printer – I had very similar problems with the CM205 fw. I have persevered for years with multiple issues of network IP addresses not remaining fixed, the scanner working intermittently with "name resolve errors" and despite connecting the printer with an ethernet and resetting all the settings, the problems still reappear after a few months. It is a… Read more

cumbersome and hopelessly ineffective printer. I use Brother in my office so I have trashed the Fuji in the bin after driving my car over it several times to release my pure frustration.

cm205fw good print and scan result, poor networking – Have this all in one printer for two years now. Network setup failed so connected via usb. Other than the setup problem, this is a good printer,/scanner. Printed out colour google maps and details are legible. Never tried the fax though. Compatible toners works fine. One set of compatible toner cost A$45 on Ebay. Oh, one more issue, it does… Read more

not like cardboard or thick paper.

The weight is reasonable. When I lift it up, it is like 6 reams of A4 paper.

Considering a price of A$300, I am very happy with this printer.

Lasted two years – Lots of issues with this. Regular frustrating errors re page size/setup (lots of beeping from the printer and swearing from the users). Then it threw up a message say "error 092-651... contact support". I did so, and they told me to buy a new printer. Had it about two years. Will be a different brand next time.

You wil regret if you Purchase a Fuji Xerox Printer – While in the warranty period, this printer does not work due to the sensor defects, and I had to send it back several times to the service centre which is located more than 60km away whereas most other printer brands provide onsite service in the same time. This issue was only resolved after the technician has totally changed another version of… Read more

sensor after seeing me coming back for the same issue a few times. Now just after 3 years of service, another cartridge problem comes. Browsing through internet there is no solution. I guess I have return it to the technician again, may be I have to scrap this printer very soon. This is the first Fuji Xerox printer I tried, and I believe is the last unit. I will not purchase another Fuji Xerox again. The HP printer that we used 8 years ago is still running well despite the product has discontinued I would rather go back to HP..

Don't get sucked in – I have just thrown my CM205fw in the hard rubbish as I couldn't in all honesty sell it on eBay and inflict it on anyone else. I have persevered for year. I confess I am not a techo, but a qualified one lives in the house and he cannot make the wi-fi work. The instructions may as well have been written in Chinese (in fact they are). After 9 Mths… Read more

it refuses to scan. No solution is identifiable, despite restoring all settings and reloading drivers.

It is pedantic regarding which paper size it uses. As I interact with the US a lot documents cannot be printed in US letter, without reloading all the document settings to A4, then doing it all again when using an A4 document.

Yes it was relatively cheap, however I am spending twice the value of the printer on cartridges each month or so.

It now tells me that the CTW sensors need cleaning after using the net I found out what a CTW sensor is and where it is and cleaned it - but that wasn't good enough.

Let the rubbish collectors clean it. When printing it looked good. Ra above

Potentially OK – Conflicting jargon-filled instructions to set up for it to work wirelessly with a desktop computer which is only 5m away in the same room! A nightmare to get it working--needing many phone calls to Sydney's helpful support staff. My model was so faulty that Fuji Xerox decided to replace it, but they would not restart their one-year warranty from the date of delivery of the replacement.

Nice print, but NOT user friendly – When it works, its nice; but to actually setup the wireless facility is laborious and not straightforward, not even for someone who enjoys a computer challenge! Ok, but that's just to set it up, but have to do this again and again - when a blackout, or resetting of modem. It is now unreliable as we don't know if it will print each time we want… Read more

it to print from our home/office.

Now it's just taken 5 mins to print something I sent wirelessly over home network!! nice print job UNuser friendly, expensive & unusual cartridges - even compared to other coloured laser printers
