Fuji Xerox WC3550MFP A piece of LEMON & coupled with a poorer Warranty Response – With only 14k Printout, our client was rudely met with a Fuser Open Fault. Did my own onsite diagnostic for any loose contact but deemed the item requiring a new FUSER! Chased up Fuji Xerox Warranty. To my surprise I quickly got a hold of a rep who further instructed to do their own diagnostic (which ended up only being unplug the printer for a… Read more

couple of minutes and plug it back in) In the end they deemed it faulty. I mentioned to them that this will certainly need a NEW FUSER and if they could quickly get the a tech to service it ASAP printing was important for our client being a Dental Clinic. I was given the reassurance kindness understanding caring chatter and that somebody will be calling me.

Thats where things of a the kind super speedy service talk chatter end.. for the next few days I would have to chase them up! As always they will end the call and tell me that somebody will contact me!

Friday comes and another call to fujixerox. This time they escalate things and finally they tell me that a technician is scheduled onsite and that they will call me before dropping in! No call! But then all of a sudden approx 3pm the technician arrives onsite! BUT ONLY to infuriate the situation and tells our client, the PRINTER requires a FUSER REPLACEMENT and it will take a few days to repair depending on the parts availability!! Are you flicking kidding me? I reiterated to tech support that this Printer needed a new fuser! I didn't need a wasteful Onsite Service guy to come in and just echo my diagnostic that the printer needed a FUSER!

Its now monday and i am chasing up tech support regarding this warranty! I was told again that they will get someone to call me today but according to their records the order for the parts was lodged last friday! It is almost end of the day still no phone call.. and I won't hold my breath else I'd be dead!

I'll chase this up tomorrow again!

I work for an IT Solutions provider and I certainly will NOT recommend Fuji Xerox due to poor warranty support.

If anybody in Fuji Xerox is reading and could careless.. Please chase up case #58376430

PS: There is a good reason why its worth the extra $ to stick with suppliers such as Kyocera. Not only do their product speaks of robust, but when you do encounter failures their warranty is very responsive and a smooth process.
