Garmin Forerunner 210

Pretty good – Have had this for a while now and is a pretty good piece of equipment. I use it for running and is very informative all the information that you can have showing. Has two different screens with information that you can scroll between. Would be handy if it showed calories as you go, but you have to wait till you've finished your workout to find this information.
I only have two issues with the watch. The first is that it can sometimes take ages (well it seems like ages) to lock onto a satellite signal - I don't know whether this is unique to the watch, or if all gps watches are the same. The second is the charging cable. Sometimes it can take up to 10 times connecting it to the computer for it to register - is a very sensitive connection. Apart from those two things I would recommend the watch. I upload (once connected!) to Garmin connect where you can view all of your information which is great. Size, colour, information displayed, Long time to lock onto gps signal; can be a pain to get to register with your computer.
Very Nice Gift – I would not have thought of buying this for myself. Luckily, my daughter gave it to me as a present, and now I enjoy bush walking, cycling and even going to the gym with it. The heart rate monitor has the same reading as the gym equipment - that's as far as I can tell it's accurate. The best feature though is the ability to upload the info via Garmin Connect. I could then export the data as a Google Earth data and replay the bush walking event or cycling trip I just had. It was an instant hit when I shared it with my group mates. The heart monitor, the simplicity of design, Garmin Connect, long battery life (although I have no reference). The foot pod is another $99 extra which would have been handy for indoor activities when there are no GPS signals.
