Gear2Go 7" eBook Reader

Sound volume – You can only adjust sound volume whilst watching movies. Maximum is 35 which is still hard to hear. Have to use earbuds. Even if you want to listen to music. Volume can not be changed. Battery is used quicker with movies or music. Hence I only use for reading. Great for reading only.
It exceeded my expectations about Ereaders – Never thought I would like an Ereader but have since changed my mind. Instead of going to the Library weekly I now just download the books I wish to read from the comfort of my own home. I bought this model thinking I was only going to waste $30 at Big W if it was not suitable but I am glad I bought it now. I agree the battery life isn't great… Read more
but I have it on charge whilst at work so it's all a learning experience as to what suits you. I did have trouble downloading books but a quick visit to the Library had me downloading books in no time. I am very pleased with this unit overall.
Gear2Go 7" eBook Reader – I purchased my reader from Big W while it was on special and it was the best purchase for my avid reading hobby I have ever made. No lights on at night to disturb my wife in bed and I can carry a dozen or more books virtually in my pocket . No complaints just happy reading. Re the battery, I just organise charging around my reading requirements. thank you Gear2Go

file open failed – my ebooks will not download onto my ereader..file open failed..we have done everything check for viruses..updated abode..deleted the books and uploaded them again and still the same problem..very angry..it worked fine for nearly 10 months...and now this..it shows that the ebook is been downloaded but its not...very frustrated..any one else with this problem please help
A Piece of junk! – I charged it, installed books and used it once before the battery died very quickly. I then left it in my bedside drawer (I used the ipad instead) and now the damn thing won't charge at all or turn on again. I have tried both computer and wall charging but nothing works. I got the pretty pink one. Won't charge/turn on!
Great ereader, but has on downside – Love the ereader concept, less book shelf needed and little disturbance to partner in bed as no light needed to read. My ereader is no my second best friend, and i have been able to renew my love affair with books, something that diminished due to need for storage space. Inexpensive, good battery life...for me anyway... Has trouble with some epub docs where has an "unknown error" when changing chapters. Cant read while the battery is charging
Hassle with no cover – Instruction manual was poorly laid out and hard to understand. No cover available to purchase from the retailer who is selling in NZ. Copy and paste easy to use. Colour screen good value Cover for the reader not readily available. Battery power too short - pny 8 hours. Does not tell you when it is fully charged until you unplu from your PC
