A great choice for me – This is a nice machine if you, like me, are tall and have a back that gets sore easily. It is, without wanting to sound funny, the mobility scooter of garden work. I have always had issues lugging multi-tools and trimmers. I am too tall for the harnesses and the vibrations get me. This contraption looks funny, but it cuts low to the ground, rolls easily and handles reasonably well. The instructions for installation are minimalist, if not brutalist. A comic strip akin to "here parts, you build". If you are lucky to have a metal man next door like me, who has all the tools and advice you could want, this thing just clips together. If not, hmmmm..... you may have challenge. Nice surprise were some of the freebies thrown in like the wipper-snipper head, goggles and muffs . Just Chinese cent ware, but hey. If you need them, saves you time. If you ask me what this thing is actually intended to do, I think it is meant to cut swathes of bamboo. Not an Aussie thing, and hence probably not something you will see much.

Good for that LONG grass – Instructions for putting the CSAW together are minimal. These should be improved but the finished CSAW is good to look at and use. My grass has been left to itself for a long time as the ride-on mower has broken and there is a waiting list of months before it can be looked at. The main advantage with the CSAW is not having to carry it. I'm quite old and the easier the task, the better for me. So far I have used the string line and that worked well. I can get up against the house. The throttle mechanism is clumsy. Pulling the bar back to throttle on takes some effort to control (Fingers pulling to the palm of the controlling hand). The handle also feels a little low for an average guy. The cut is quite wide and the unit comes with protective eye glasses, ear muffs, gloves and tools. I have no feedback for normal yard maintenance but it works well for me against the extra long grass and brush.

Absolute rubbish Giants CSAW Wheel SXTO -RD wheeled cutter – This unit was purchased in July and firstly to assemble it takes hours, poor instructions, used it first time and the compression was such that it nearly tore my have off starting it. Went OK the first time, next time pulled it our, the compression again is horrendous, started using it, pushed it into clover, and unbeknown to me the wheels broke away from the engine chassis, welds poor, the piping used is too low grade and weld would not hold, I nearly fell onto the spinning cutter, as no wheels. do not buy.
