Charged for tolls of a sold vehicle – Sold Mitsubishi pajero 3/07/23 looked on history and all tolls have been withdrawn from my account, what is the purpose of the tags they just link the number plate to my account, now I have to try to be reimbursed by the owner. New owner does not have the tag.
GO-VIA/ LINK T – They happy to take your money instantly but when you go to cancel expect delays of up to weeks to get any credit back !! Phone the Queensland obubsmen don't put up with there sh%t...
Go Via/ LinkT service review – The company over promises and consistently under delivers. Particularly if you are trying to cancel your toll account/electronic vehicle tag account. Linkt took over 35 days to process simple request.
Shame on you – Should have stayed as govia,at least i could see my invoices and payments,i travelled on the 1st of may went through toll roads from gateway to woodridge both ways ,i have no idea how much i had to pay,i went to 7 eleven garage and payed 20 dollars, got reciept, now i want to check to make sure it was enough, and it wont work i can not check if my… Read more
trip is payed for.shame on you i better not get a fine i will be very cranky.i am no longer have an account with toll as i was ripped of to many times,i have payes over 10 thousand in fines to this rip off mob.make it simple, make easier to pay a toll and keep up to date with payments made not in a months time when you realize that you missed out by a couple of dollars and get charged late fees.
Disgusted! – *Now Linkt** Left feeling totally ripped off! Just wanted to pay for my trip 3 days ago. Searching via Reg Plate nothing shows up. Then get invoice after 3 days stating $8.50 admin fee added for sending invoice! But couldnt pay online before! Sign up for a tag spend $25 on this and then try to transfer the trip to my account but states the amount… Read more
is not able to be transferred as minimum balance is too low!!! $37 spent now on one single trip! And $25 on an account i wont even use! This company is disgraceful! Should be investigated just like the banks!
A bunch of crooks! – This service penalizes rural drivers who enter the metropolitan areas rarely! A person should simply be able to look up their numberplate and pay the toll with at least a months grace, however it makes it as difficult as possible to pay your toll and fines you! I have no intention of setting up an account as I have no wish to have yet another online account to manage that I use rarely. This organisation is gouging Australian drivers!
Unprofessional – After my last visit to Sydney many months ago, my tagless account has been closed, so I cannot login anymore. I have tried to open another tagless account to set up my next visit to Sydney. When I tried to pay, it came back with "Your account has been created but not active. Activate account by logging in, then make a payment". Tried that. It… Read more
says " Your account has been closed".
What a bunch of amateurs. And it looks like they hold a monopoly on Sydney toll roads payments.
Why are they being tolerated?
Scam plus rip off. Time waster – Paid invoice in this January on time for Christmas trip. Received demanding letter from third part to chase payment. $10 into $70 bucks. Found original tax invoice and payment record. Called 13 33 31, people on the phone could not offer help as they mentioned "Payment settled and all good. You need to have account" Pain in the neck. Un-Australian and disgusting.
Terrible – Rude staff. Overcharged and took many months to process a credit. Very very bad service. even complaining is a pain in the neck.
Video matching Fees another one of thier scams – these bunch of clowns charge me a video matching fees for the last years , and I have a tag that beeps every time I go past there monitoring post. Then I contact them and they tell me I must check my statements to see if they are not charging me , even though it is there technology that is not up to standard. When are these people going to STOP ripping off the Consumer. They have a RC into banks ripping people off , WHY NOT this lot???
Rip off $1.72 toll = $10.71 invoice – Blatant rip off. Toll was $1.72 as never told me about name change charged me $10.71 as fee for not paying. Totally disgusting, un Australian business tactics. Will surely rot in hell.
Bad service. Rude staff. No one in Australia to complain to – Tried to sort out a refund. Rude staff. Eventually they just hung up. Who do you complain to? the company obviously dont care and there doesnt seem to be anyone to complain to.
Really bad – Terrible service. Call centre is not in Australia and i couldn't understand the person on the other end. I couldn't do anything on the phone because of the language barrier. Shame go via lift your game.... instead of trying to save money buy operating a call centre were English is not there first language. How about actually trying to be useful and help people buy operating your own call centre in Australia. Phoning them is completely useless.

try to contact – almost impossible to get thru for any info for any reason at all .cant get thru..either on web site or by phone ,then they charge you for being late..almost the worst people i ever dealt with ,full stop...
Rubbish – Just a crap service. Paying your bill is a Nigh Mare. Every time I travel I get invoices to pay when GO Via has been requested to link all my cars to the account I hold. When you call them to resolve issues it is nothing more a than a Joke. Its like they make it hard to pay your toll so get SLAPPED with fees, that are outrageous. This company should be investigated.
Dont go via – Travelled twice in 5 years and thoroughly regret both times. Go another way. Both times I was travelling long distance and didnt pay within the ridiculous 3 day window. First time I was hit with a late fee when paying on the 4th day. The second time I tried to pay on the 5th day and was told I could just set up an account to avoid paying the late… Read more
fee. I asked the help desk guy if there were any account fees or money that needed to be kept in the account and they said no (I photographed the conversation) this was a LIE. The fee for the account was $25 - made up mostly of money needed to be kept in the account, so I declined this.
I was then told an invoice would be sent for $8.36 plus the toll fee. Most people here complain a further late fee will then be charged as govia/Linkt/Transurban/whoever this octopus company is only send the invoice after the late fee applies (their website hints at this too). It has taken over an hour so far to NOT pay their fee and it is back to the help desk again...
Hounded for four months after selling my car. BEWARE! – I sold my car almost almost four months ago. The new Queensland owner continued to drive it unregistered and didn't pay tolls on over 150 trips. After "Nominating" the new owner after the first two invoices, sending a Stat Dec (a copy of one I needed to send to Queensland Police after this person had been booked for speeding) and numerous emails… Read more
explaining the obvious Go Via still refused to accept the fact, supported by a stamped letter from the RMS new south Wales that the car HAD been sold. I received invoices and demand notices at the rate of one or two per week. This week in desperation I returned to the local ranch of the RMS to ask them to talk some sense to them. The branch Manager phone Go Via and supported everything I had been telling them. After 20 minutes I was handed the phone to speak directly, eventually hearing from the Go Via officer that they had all the details of the new owner, and would be billing him. I asked that they send me in writing by mail a letter to confirm this. When the familiar envelope from Go Via arrived in the mail today, I expected to find the promised letter, and the news they had quit persecuting me. On opening it I found yet another Invoice! These people are truly despicable. They care nothing for people, even for those who are not even traveling on their roads. Needless to say I will NEVER drive on one of their roads, and will do my best to advertise my experience.
Just awful – I accidentally drove through a toll road on Monday this week. On Wednesday I called up to try to pay. They made me set up a "backdated pass" but were unable to confirm in writing the dates that the pass was set up for, or my number plate. Seems like such a scam as they won't just take a one off toll payment.
Identity issues – I also had problems with receiving an invoice well after the due date, so they then receive the late fee. To top it off they could not tell me why the invoice was in my maiden name (I have been married 26 years) and my car is registered in my married name?. They insisted I should sort it out with the RTA however this is not the case. Shut them down.
Terrible – Received a toll invoice that included a $9 administration charge when I already have an account (I'm sure it was really hard work to send me that letter). Logged on to try and pay the invoice using the money that's already on my account only to be told that I couldn't use this money as my account balance would "fall below the minimum balance",… Read more
despite there being more than enough money in the account to pay the invoice. As I doubt I'll get my $20 account balance returned this means I've effectively paid $33.31 for a single trip (my last) on the Gateway.
Can't fault them – I have been with GoVia for several years and found them to be a much better alternative to other N.S.W based options. Of course, now they are Linkt. but I have just contacted them via their phone number to arrange a replacement windscreen clip for one of our cars. The call was flawless, I had forgotten my PIN but was able to provide other answers… Read more
to access the account and in all the cases the CS gentleman on the line was very professional.
P.S. the clip is being sent out free of charge and should arrive in 7 or so days!
Just absolutely appalling – Trying to reconcile my corporate card within a time frame and cannot get an invoice generated prior to 21 days. Made numerous phone calls to people who speak little English. Just discusted.

Thieves... should be shut down – Should be shut down.. received a toll invoice when I have account. Invoice due 8th June.. today is the 11th June wth... got an overseas call center that was no help at all. Not happy
Thieves – They try and stick you $20 for sending you a letter. How is that even legal? After speaking to their customer service I lost all hope in the world.. Thieves
time to send invoice – I hate road tolls and the stupid systems for payment. For example; 2 tolls 1st and 2nd of May. Invoice dated 13th of May . Due date to pay invoice 27th of May. Envelope dated the 22nd May 15h15 (I presume the time) Actual arrival in my letterbox 30th of May. I paid using my credit card no problem. I tried 6 months ago on a previous trip to pay… Read more
immediately on arriving home by credit card. Could not do it. Rang them up, no you have to wait for an invoice. How backward is this organisation with its procedures. Why cant I pay by credit card straight away like any other business. I should not have to wait for an invoice if I know all the details of my trip etc.
What A Joke – This company should be shut down. Between my family we have three tags on the one account and some how they think that we have gone through the network five times illegally in the last month when in the bank statement it shows that we have top up the account on several occasions and only travel the network twice a week. When I rang up about the… Read more
matter I was met with absolute rudeness and lack of concern for the customer. This company is beyond a joke and should be dragged through the courts. To make matters worse everything has been moved to an online forum making it harder than ever for older Australians like my Grandparents who want to use the network but don't know how. I will be taking this matter higher.
Terrible – The linkin website is down for a few days now. There is no one to contact in Australia. There is only one number 133331 and they are based in Philippines. And only way to make a payment is by giving your credit card to someone in Philippines while they are not able to tell you how much money will be deducted from your credit card for a one way trip. This is unacceptable....
Absolute scam. This company and country are an absolute fn joke – Beyond a joke. This company should be dragged through the courts. I havea tag, have travelled 3tolls and have a bank statement come through on my credit card for $41. Beyond a joke
Beware of this Go Via Scam – Many of you who are reading will have already been caught by the Go Via scam which involves them sending you the payment invoice late so that you receive it AFTER the due date. This allows them to add on hundreds of dollars to your $4 toll and is a cash cow for them. For example I received an invoice today 23 May that was printed on 6 May and was… Read more
due on 20 May!! I live only 30 kms away from the Go Via office so it doesn't take 18 days to get to me in the mail!! Australia post say it should take one day. So Go Via sent my invoice to me AFTER their due date! Do not cop this anyone! Ring them and tell them you received their invoice after the due date and until they want to send them by registered post with tracking they can't dispute your claim.
Lack of concern for customer service – As an occasional user of the tunnels in SEQ I have been topping up my account manually, as needed. This has always worked well for me until several months ago when I tried to increase the funds in my account and was told by my regular local retailer (Caltex) that they no longer offered that service. The GoVia website at the time referred me to… Read more
my local newsagent and Australia Post, both of which advised they didn't offer that service. Now the 'new' Linkt website lists a number of retailers they claim will accept manual top-ups and I have spent all morning running around trying to get one of these retailers to do to just that. All of them have advised they don't offer this service any more and haven't done so FOR MONTHS. BP, Australia Post, local newsagents, and 711 stores are all listed on the Go Via (Linkt) pages for my local area. I phoned GoVia customer service (ie call centre) only to be told that I could manually top up my account at Australia Post, BP or my local 711. After doing some searching at her end, the customer service officer then told me to try my local BP. It was obvious she was searching the same website I had been looking at. When I re-iterated BP do NOT offer this service she told me I could pay by credit card. I only applied for a Go Via card because manual top-ups were available to me and it's a service they are still advertising on their website. It seems this organisation can't be bothered with customer service, truth in advertising, or staff training. I gather from previous posts that customer service has been outsourced offshore - another reason NOT to be paying by app or credit card. Whoever Transurban are, they need to be given the flick.
No statements, no help! – My car does not show up on the statements yet they charge my account toll fees. I do use the tolls so I know they do charge me, but no trips are recorded on the statements and it's been that way for 7 months! I rang them and their call center is now in the Philippines. They said there was no travel from my car. I asked why are they charging me for… Read more
the tolls then. She didn't know. She emailed me a statement for the whole 7 months. Guess what, nothing on there! They don't know how to fix the problem and no one can help me! 3rd world country's have better service than this. How can the Australian government turn a blind eye to all of these complaints!
Processing fee $1.00 it is a computer booking you thieves – Web page complicated, asking too many personal details considering it is a one trip from overseas. I hope one day the whole system will collapse, because the greed will eat us all.
how is this con job legal? – govia is a con job. how is this even legal with fair trading? from the way the web site works, to paying off your toll. to their unfair bullying and fines. its quite literally a form of highway robbery. a complete and utter scam. ive never seen anything like it. *PLEASE TAKE NOTE* for anyone wanting to know how to get around using govia -… Read more
apparently, you can use other toll companies that are used in other states in australia to pay for your tolls etc. and apparently all the other companies are not scam merchants like govia.
i truly hope one day someone sues their pants off and heads roll. an absolutely disgusting and deceitful organization of thugs and petty thieves.
Govia is not flexible for visitors to Brisbane – Phone operators at go via are polite and doing their best with what the system can give them. The system is flawed!! Gives no flexibility for visitors, won’t allow for the exact toll price to be paid. Having to buy packages of $10 or $20 for a one off visit to the city is wrong. Make it easier to pay the exact toll price. Money thieving system to line the pockets of the fat cats.
Highway Robbery!! – GoVia, you absolute rip off merchants!! After 3 heated arguments (3 hang ups) and a 4th phone call, they’ve been kind enough to reduce their “administration fees” from $640.70 to $393.01... which does not include the $78 owing on Tolls, as a “gesture of good will”. They also couldn’t explain why my car had been charged 3 times within 4mins… Read more
of each other both North & South bound on the Gateway (6 times in total). And didn’t really seem to care that both my car registration had been charged as well as my tag number @ the same time!!
They had an answer for everything, which made absolutely no sense and the explanation changed each time I asked!!
Couldn’t explain why some trips incurred a “video matching fee” and some didn’t?! I understand if they charge “video matching” to a car that has absolutely no tags attached! But when you’re registered and have a TAG, why charge that when it’s obvious it’s their faulty tag?
Honestly, check your statements guys!! They are ripping people off blind, I can’t actually believe they can get away with their unrealistic “administration fees”, which aren’t actually shown on your account!
** Forgot to mention that I ALSO received an email from a Debt collection agency claiming I owe $99. Where do they come up with their figures?
