AI reviews summary
Good Pair Days receives overwhelming praise for its gamified, educational approach to wine subscriptions. Users highlight the platform's ability to accurately match wines to their palates through an initial quiz and ongoing ratings, successfully moving them away from repetitive purchasing habits. The service is noted for its high flexibility, allowing subscribers to easily pause, skip, or customise their orders.
Pros
- Educational Gamification: The app and website are frequently lauded for making wine education fun through challenges, badges, wine courses, and recipe pairings that accompany each bottle.
- Effective Personalisation: The recommendation engine is highly regarded for its accuracy, with many users reporting they have discovered new favourite varieties and regions they would not have chosen themselves.
- Exceptional Rewards Program: Significant value is found in the points-based rewards system, which offers high-quality physical gifts (such as coolers, tumblers, and picnic sets) and free bottles.
- Flexible Subscription Management: The platform offers a user-friendly experience for managing deliveries, with clear options to pause, skip, or adjust the frequency and budget of boxes without penalties.
Cons
- Stock Availability: Some users have noted that certain popular wine selections are frequently out of stock, which can limit the variety available for customisation.
- Communication Tone: While customer service is generally praised, there is a specific complaint regarding the use of impersonal, seemingly AI-generated responses when handling shipping issues or breakages.
- Packaging Sustainability: A desire for more eco-friendly packaging options was raised by users who found the current presentation, though aesthetic, could be more environmentally conscious.
- Quality Variance at Lower Price Points: Feedback suggests that "budget" white wines can be inconsistent in quality compared to the "budget" red wine selections.
Verdict
Good Pair Days is an excellent service for both novices and enthusiasts looking to expand their wine knowledge through a highly interactive and rewarding platform. It is particularly well-suited for those who value convenience and discovery, though users should be mindful of occasional stock limitations and inconsistent quality in the lowest price brackets.
This is so much more than just receiving wine bottles each month! It's a full and total wine experience that allows you to learn more about wine production, tasting, pairing and provenance. Love the recipes that come with each bottle. The rewards system is excellent! Six months into my membership and Good Pair Days has exceeded my expectations!
I’ve really enjoyed my experience with Good Pair Days. The wine matching is surprisingly accurate, and I love discovering bottles I probably wouldn’t have chosen for myself. Such a good concept and product. I received the free cheese board cooler, insulated wine bottle and two insulated wine glasses with my first order. I've now got two friends on board, and we love it. The actual wine bottles were packaged fantastically in its box.

We were enticed to join Good Pair Days by the free gift for new members, but so far, we’ve loved receiving our monthly boxes and have recommended GPD to many of our wine-loving friends! The recommendations are spot on for our palette preferences and the wine is affordable and delicious! The reward system is also great. They also have a wealth of wine-related information on their site and app to help improve your knowledge of wine and wine making.

First, let me start by saying I appreciate the effort. You’re like a very enthusiastic, slightly intimidating, and constantly encouraging friend who's trying to get me into wine. And, honestly, you're succeeding. My bank account, however, is less thrilled. The quiz? Pure genius. You've basically psychoanalysed my taste buds based on whether I… Read more
prefer cats or dogs, and if I cry during rom-coms (the answer is YES, ALWAYS). It's like you're saying, "We understand your emotional fragility, and therefore, we know you need a full-bodied Shiraz." Spot on.
The wines themselves? Let's just say they've led to some interesting evenings. I’m pretty sure I once had a deep conversation with my dogs about the complexities of climate change after a particularly robust Pinot Noir. Don't judge me, the wine made them seem very insightful.
Your tasting notes, bless your heart, are ridiculously entertaining. "Hints of gooseberry and elderflower"? I wouldn't know a gooseberry from an elbow, but I'll nod sagely and pretend I do. Mostly I just detect "grape" and "slightly better grape." But hey, at least I feel sophisticated while saying it.
The delivery? Flawless. Your boxes arrive like a little parcel of inebriation, carefully packaged and ready to ignite a Tuesday night dance party in my kitchen. My recycling bin, however, is starting to resemble a small wine cellar. The neighbours are starting to give me knowing glances.
My only real complaint? You've ruined cheap wine for me forever. I used to be perfectly content with a $10 bottle of something vaguely red. Now? Now I'm all "This lacks complexity! Where are the nuanced tannins?!" Thanks a lot, Good Pair Days. Thanks a lot.
So, would I recommend Good Pair Days? Absolutely! If you want to expand your wine horizons, impress your friends (or confuse them with your “expert” knowledge), and occasionally have philosophical debates with bemused doggies, then sign up immediately.
I’d seen GPD online lots & finally thought why not try it, they have such a fair no lock in contract and cancel anytime policy - which i think is so fair these days. Well it’s been so fun & rewarding. The wine suggested to my personal taste tests have been spot on & I love you can go with their suggestions based on this but also choose your own… Read more
or swap out those they choose - you have total control! It takes the hours out of bottle shops, trying to get it right & working out if you will like the wine & gives specifics on every bottle about flavours, acidity & has a simple poll on every facet that might help you choose or understand your specific tastes. The gift was gorgeous & the rewards are such a great bonus to enjoying your wine! Love the recipe cards for pairing also, they have very professional styling. The app is so easy to use and fun to earn reward points and learn from. The app helps finding wine suggestions, reviews and exploring all the new & exciting wines! Do it now & subscribe to something you can enjoy with all those TV subscriptions we all have, this one gives you bonus rewards and gifts!
Good Pair Days has to be the most efficient company I’ve ever dealt with. They are so fast with their delivery and I have always received my order within 2 days of hitting confirm on their app (which not to mention is very modern and easy to navigate). I have had a subscription for a few years now and they are honestly amazing and surprise me with… Read more
their service, every time. Their wine is always delicious, and their loyalty system truly rewards you with their merch being of a high quality standard. They truly make me feel like a valued customer. Not to mention the free gifts I receive now as I have reached a high level in their loyalty program. I have also been able to place my subscription on pause easily, when I have been pregnant and not able to drink. This also keeps my loyalty status the same while I’m on pause. I have only had to rate 1 wine poorly out of the hundreds of bottles I have received over the years and I was immediately contacted by them offering a replacement wine with a new recommendation. I would honestly recommend GPD to anyone. I can’t say enough good things about the company and they have not let me down once! :)
Positive reviews
Such a handy service. Wide range of wines to suit everyone’s taste buds. Order as little or as much as you like. I love being able to taste different wines that I wouldn’t normally try from your regular bottle shop. Thank you good pair days!! Love the perks too.
Love this wine subscription! Great concept, I love the rewards and inspiration to try new bottles. Loved every bottle so far, so it’s definitely worth doing the wine quiz and rating bottles, to pair to individual tastes. This is my monthly treat to myself
Found out about these guys through a friend. They have a wicked sign up deal currently. I love i can spend just $15 per wine, making it affordable. The app is fun too, has loads of personality!
Negative reviews
I signed up to GPD and ordered a 4-wine box. The order became stuck at the AusPost Malaga depot for a considerable period. I was subsequently advised the courier had irreparably damaged the shipment and were returning it to NSW. I acknowledge that freight issues are beyond the control of GPD, however it was quite insulting to receive what was… Read more
quite obviously an AI-generated or form response stating "It broke, we'll send it again. You'll get it when you get it". Any perceptions of genuine attempts to personalise wine selections or an actual investment in customer service were broken by this communication.
If I wanted to engage with computers, I would use a wine recommendation bot from Google and duck down to BWS for half the price. Very disappointing experience with what I thought to be a very promising service.
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Good Pair Days. I’ve only had two previous orders, and both times I created my own box with Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio, but this time, since Good Pair Days doesn't send reminders, I forgot about my delivery. As a result, the wines were chosen for me, and not a single bottle of either… Read more
Pinot Gris or Pinot Grigio was included. It’s frustrating that my preferences were ignored. To make matters worse, I was told I could use credits towards future purchases, but only by spending more money, which feels like a tactic to push further sales instead of genuinely addressing my concerns. Unless you’re willing to set a reminder every month to review and pick your own wines (which probably defeats the purpose of a subscription service), I wouldn’t bother. Given all of this, I will be canceling my subscription.
Charged for nothing – Unexpectedly charged $70 a year after last purchase and cancelling everything. Didn’t place an order, didn’t visit the website, don’t even live in the same house the supposed order is being delivered to. Ridiculous that they can charge you for nothing, out of the blue, after cancelling.

I love that I get to taste wines from some of our best producers and some of our quite achievers. I love how easy the website is to use. I love the selection of wines. I love that if I have too much wine, I can put on easily put on hold as I am get older and can't drink as much. Great work GPD.
I’ve really enjoyed using Good Pair Days. It has helped me better understand my personal taste in wine and introduced me to varieties I may not have chosen on my own. The recommendations feel well matched to my preferences, and I especially like that I can use what I’ve learned when ordering wine at restaurants. It’s a fun and helpful way to explore new wines with more confidence.
I've been a customer for a few years now and this is the one wine box subscription that I have kept. They have a great range of different wines to suite different palates, and as you rate the wines, they adjust your boxes to suit your taste. I really like the reward program they have as you actually get things that are great for a wine fan. The… Read more
customer service team has also been great. I have only had one damaged order in my 3 or so years with them, and I messaged them with photos and they sorted a replacement easily. Same with getting different wines in - I messaged to chase down a certain wine I had at a restaurant and they ended up getting it in which was lovely. Great support, great team and great products.
A fantastic Australian company that takes the time, care and attention into pairing your wines so that you don’t have to. Flexible subscriptions to suit your needs, great rewards and freebies for loyalty.
I couldn’t be more impressed with GPD, I found them by accident and now can’t imagine drinking without them.. I’ve tried (and loved) wines I would have never have otherwise chosen and the points system keeps me engaged. The tasting note cards are an added bonus as are the great wine classes.
I first signed up to expand my pallet and to learn more about wine and I love how much information they provide and how they have tailored my subscription to my tastes while also allowing me to try wine I've never considered before. I look forward to receiving my box from good pair days every month.
Good pair days have been very easy to work with. They have a huge selection of wines with many price points. I have been ordering wines for a long time and happy with the wines. Robyn.
I love the simplicity of this website, the huge variety of wines and the rewards! I end up with enough rewards points to get my Christmas and New Years wine and I don't pay anything for it!
Absolutely loving Good Pair Days. The recommendations have been spot‑on, the bottles are fun to discover, and the whole experience feels really personalised. Such an easy way to try great wines without overthinking it.
Best wine club on the market. The wines are hand chosen for you basted on your flavour palette so you never get a bad bottle. It’s the best day of the month when it’s wine delivery day. I’ve tried so many different varieties and have a lot of new favourite styles. Thanks GPD
Got my first monthly box today and also my 'one-off' order with wines from all around the world. Super thrilled with the free welcome gifts, too. Good Pair Days is a great company and their customer service is incredible! So happy to be a part of it.
A fun way to try new wines and learn more about wine. I prefer to choose my own wines as well as take on board some of their suggestions from time to time. I've mostly been trying cheaper wines and it's been a bit hit and miss, have had much better luck with the cheaper reds than the cheaper whites. The app is slick and the gameification is clever.
