Crap camera with crap customer support
This is a truly crappy camera and I hope I can get a refund. The first time I used it it kept freezing and it didn’t respond to my clicking the buttons at all. This is after I have updated the software! And then I took it diving and more problems arose. First of all, it didn’t respond to my pressing the buttons at all under water. And it switched mode from video to time lapse on its own. I was not able to record any of the adventures which is why invested in the camera in the first place. Then I tried and get someone to help from go pro team. I...filled out the online request a call back form. The only respond I got was an email accusing my phone was occupied so they were not able to contact me when my phone was available the whole time. And it lefts a link for me to click into to get help, but it only took me back to the request a call back form again instead of an actual number I can call to get help. I patiently filled out all the info again but was only informed that I have already requested once and just need to wait. But I was told to do this again from the email they sent me!!!!!! Is there actual human being gonna talk to me to solve my problems with the crappy equipment?!

Terrible product and even worse customer support
Constantly freezes and shuts down. Mostly unusable. Microphone drain latch fell off and cannot be replaced. Go pro customer support does not respond to emails etc. Will never buy another gopro product

Never been so unhappy with a purchase, their cameras are not that good and there software is almost unusable, GoPro support is non existent and I will never buy another GoPro product.

Poor quality and complete absence of customerservice
I have had several GoPro's in the past. At the time they were some kind of novelty, but competition like DJI caught up well and truely. Nonetheless, I changed my Hero 8 for a Hero Black 9, as there was an offer online to get one year free Cloud service and a carrying case. I sold my Hero 8 and installed the Hero 9 in my account. I had my GoPro app with built in cloud service with Apple, so cancelled that. Did not get the promised free year of subscription, as GoPro customer service states I should have read the fine print. That literally states...that loyal, existing paying customers do not qualify for the free year !! Incredible. There is not much to add about the camera, no improvement compared to older versions and still no zoom. If you want to use other lenses and filters, you better buy a backpack. The competition has this all built in. It has now a coloured screen on the front for selfies that you better switch off as it eats your battery and the touch screen is so insensitive, that it is not useable. I bought an Osmo, am 150% happy with that, and the GoPro brick is now for sale from me.

My daughter finally saved her hard earned dollars to purchase her own go pro. They had a deal on that you got a free subscription, free battery and 64GB card. But apparently because we ordered on dad’s existing subscription login you don’t get any of that. This is her first big purchase and she feels so cheated. Not a good experience.

Really ! Overcharged - Delay and issue with GoPro9 and no response from GoPro !
Unacceptable GoPro ! Issues and delay with product, overcharged in agreed Boxing day price ! Multiple attempts for contact with numerous case numbers yet i am still waiting for contact since 27th December ! I have been a GoPro customer since 2011 and i sincerely can't understand or process your customer service.

Received my GoPro 9 Bundle only to find the SD card was missing. Not that I am worried about the SD card. However I wanted them to be aware of the missing SD card. I have emailed customer care 10 times about the missing card ad not one response from them. Even when you supposedly get priority as a subscriber.
Go Pro customer care you are an absolute joke. Keep clear everyone if you don't need to rely on customer support.

Don’t Buy - Common faults with no support
GoPro Hero9 keeps shutting down (or won’t turn on at all).
Common fault (please read their community forum). GoPro lose quality with the release of every new model.
GoPro have no support. The number of upset customers is rapidly growing. Recommend you read all the online forums.

False advertising. Worst customer service
Item to arrive within 2-3 business days. Its been 10 and still hasn't arrived. Try to contact go pro. Submit a complaint via online form. Still no response after 5 days. Talk to chat. They tell me they "no longer cater to emails". As if that's a reasonable response. Then tell me to wait another 3 business days. If you want customer support, you'd get more from a door knob.

the worst Gopro ever. Most the features don't work and the product was knee capped at release with no remote support or even an ETA on a future remote model (yet every gopro since the 3 supported it and i don't think its even on the radar yet.... they say its in development... maybe like the Hero 8 media mod which released with the 9 that it didn't fit?? .......)
Support doesn't exist, no phone number, no email address just a bogus chat window that doesn't work or call back system that won't play well with your time zone outside the US if you...can even get it to work. they set the benchmark of how budget and appalling a business can go on their support system; horrendous product release (so premature its an abortion) coupled with a crap support backbone makes for the worst purchase experience in decades I will not buy another product of gopro's - and buyer beware If your on the fence just do yourself a favour and read the gopro forums which are 95% full of complaints on the Hero 9

Don't buy it, no support in Australia
I bought a $559.95 GoPro Hero9 bundle from GoPro Australian site. It includes Hero9 and a 32G SD card. My order number is SO-4138129. I didn't receive that 32GB SD card. I spent a few hours and a few times trying to get it to be resent. I never succeeded.
GoPro has terrible support. I tried the support url https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs. It didn't work. clicked “Start chat”, it said “Sorry, all agents are helping other customers right now. Please try again later.”, clicked “request a call”, it said “Invalid Captcha. Please retry.”, It showed...

The camera is great - everything needed to make it work is useless
I bought the camera as a birthday present to myself after saving for a year. 2-3 day shipping takes a week or two from the states.
Played with the camera and it seems to do a good job of capturing video and images BUT:
*The camera needed a firmware update. The app kept 'losing' the camera. Eventually I managed to do it by manually placing the file on the SD card. Wasted a couple of days sorting that out.
*The app just doesn't work. It won't communicate with the camera properly. I can't access Live View, though I can adjust the settings throu...gh the app. I also can't upload captured video to the app. *You HAVE to have the GoPro subscription, so that you can upload to THEIR cloud. But when you do that, then download to the app from the cloud, the videos jutter really badly. In short, you can't access what you've recorded. The app MUST be on and open the whole time you download.

GoPro basically dead
I am now on my 3rd camera. Bad image quality, touch screen so slow and unreliable its useless, audio issues, no accessories, no support, nothing. If it were one camera I would just say its a lemon, but 3 in a row?? GoPro are a brand only, they have completely lost their way..

I have been waiting a week for this product to even show up as an order to see when it will be coming.
Customer service is useless, I cant get onto anyone with the online chat system, and no one has called me back with the "call back"option, there is no option to call them directly from Australia. I just want to know when my product hasn't shipped and when I can expect an ETA, I should have bought it elsewhere however lock down makes that hard and didn't think there would be a difference if I had to purchase online either way.
