GoPro Hero11 Black Mini
MPN: CHDHF-111-RW1 review
GoPro mini steer clear – I bought two of these. Mistake number 1 was buying direct from GoPro online. I got a good price, but later realized I had zero consumer protection. Lesson 1 pay extra and buy from an Australian retailer, then you can return the goods and let them deal with issues. So, the cameras functioned ok at first, but I quickly had lots of overheating issues. Then they would suddenly just freeze. I have a You Tube channel WellHooked WA and the ongoing issues with my two GoPro's ruined my filming and publishing. One camera finally died completely exactly one week out of the so called 1 year warrranty. You cannot replace the batteries on the GoPro mini and they have no serviceable parts. You know it's a lemon when the local iPhone guy in the mall won't even touch it. Product support is non-existent with a total reliance on chatbots. The other GoPro mini still works in fits and starts, but I can't rely on it. I do have other GoPro models which work ok, but I bought them from JB HiFi and if there's a problem, under Australian consumer protection law I deal with the retailer, and they replace the faulty product. The only positive is that the mini truly is mini and one can wear it on a head strap all day. But not much point if it doesn't function properly. My recommendation is, don't buy a GoPro mini as they were an experiment which failed abysmally. Paying over $800 for 12 months of misfiring functionality is painful.
