Hardkorr 440 Lumen Rechargeable Head Torch with Hands-Free Mode

strap keeps undoing – Overall this is a reasonable light, however, I have to keep adjusting the strap as it keeps going loose. Kind of makes the hands free on-off switch redundant if you have to keep touching head/strap if hands are dirty.
Ok but average features – Ok but average features more of a gimmick really the hands free sensor doesn’t really work well. It picks up random things. So unless your walking along where there is absolutely nothing in front of you it’s pretty useless. I bought it so when I’m working on a car and my hands are covered in grease it would be good. Unfortunately hands in front of you set it off very easily and there’s no adjustment. Another downfall is the battery. There seems to be ok like on my first use but it takes forever to charge. The insructions are pretty vague and don’t mention anything about charge light status. It’s flashing red at me for the last 2 hours and I’m not sure if that means charging or a fault. Wouldn’t recommend. Hardkorr need to release decent manuals with their torches rather than the crap little kfc wipe sized manual it came with. Also the claimed 440 lumens I call nonsense. I have another brand rated at 300 lumens performing the same. Probably wouldn’t buy hardkorr again maybe look elsewhere.
Purchased in at Snowys Outdoors Online store for $49.
Neat Little Head Lamp – Great head torch. As nifty as the hands free on/off switch feature I think it is a little gimmicky. Mainly because when your mates find out they can turn your light off by waving in front of it it leads to some hilarious escapades. But I suppose if you have raw chicken fingers or dirty/greasy hands then it’ll come into its own from there. Mainly a 4 star only because of the single strap and not one over the head but the strap in itself is easy to adjust and stays tight at this stage 3-4, 1 week trips. So a mild thing. The rechargeable feature is 100% why I went with this, hauling batteries around for everything is one of my pet peeves.
