1 Terri  · Terrible design fault – Hegs Pegs are a crap design, they break easily. I would not recommend anyone to buy them.

I purchased Hegs Pegs because they were pretty and my usual pegs just fall apart. I do not look after my pegs. They stay on the clothes line 24/7. They are subjected to the elements. I did not take notice of the name of the pegs. After three years of constant use they have never broken, faded or stopped working. I love them, l have just purchased… Read more

3 more boxes of them. Two boxes for gifts. I hope l have purchased the newest ones. I hope l have missed the batches that had a fault. If they are back to the quality that l purchased over three years ago. No one would ever put up a bad review. Australian made and owned ♥️

Tried them for the first time. Not easy to get on line properly Don't grip clothes to line properly Would rather use the old style wooden pegs mum used to use Would not recommend

Hegs clearly uses fake positive reviews. Bought a 60 pack of these pegs after seeing the reviews on their website. 617 reviews all 5 star should have been a warning but after all they are just pegs, maybe they are good. They look thick an solid, the type of plastic that will hold up in the sun. However, after using for 3 weeks they started… Read more

breaking in the join one by one. These are the "New" design as well with the injection point off to the side.

Anyway they are just a gimmick, no better than the pegs at Silly Sollies, except a lot more expensive.

Good Australian made peg – I was fed up purchasing crappy thin plastic pegs from Bunnings that would disintegrate and fall apart after a few months. I moved to the bamboo pegs and I liked them at first until they started to get mouldy in winter. I then purchased stainless steal pegs but they kept getting tangled up in the basket. Untangling them done my head in and fed up… Read more

with picking up broken plastic and bamboo pegs off my back patio I decided to look around for a longer lasting peg.

I purchased my first pack of Hegs Pegs about a year ago from Big W. I like the idea that they were made in Australia but I was worried that they would snap prematurely because of their ridged one piece design so I only purchased one pack to test their durability. I was also concerned that the two side hooks on each peg would tangle them together but this was not the case.

A year on I haven’t snapped one peg so I just purchased a couple more packs. Even if these pegs didn’t last a year I would still buy more because I’m hooked on their ease of use. The big fat pressing ends suit my fingers. They never get tangled up in the basket. $14 may seem like a lot to pay pay for a 42 pack of pegs but for me it’s worth it. Life is too short to fiddle around with cheap inferior pegs.

Hers are now my pegs. 5 stars

I've been using Hegs Pegs for years and I can't believe how long they last. The quality of these pegs is incredible. They're sturdy yet easy to use. I have arthritis in my hands but these pegs are not a problem. The spring is strong enough to hold heavy items but not so strong that they're difficult to open. I have the original orange, the newer blue and the pretty pink too.

Expected better for the price – I tried outside but found they didn’t grip the line well enough without cloth between so they slip around in the first breeze when I tried to use the outer hook, so I use mine INDOORS and within a year a quarter of the pack had cracked in the middle. Another year on and the rest are starting to crack. I expected from all the hype that they would… Read more

be better quality especially given the cost. I did read that the design has been changed to prevent this but I’m reluctant to hand over my money especially last time I was refused a refund since who keeps the packaging and receipts for pegs.

Seem like they may wear in the middle – These pegs looked good but even after one use there is bad wear on the plastic under the metal clip. Maybe it's supposed to look like that.still testing.

The Best Pegs ever. For all my life I used Reva Pegs, but these Hegs Pegs are so much better. Strong Durable and with the spring at the top the top part of the peg does not snap off.

My Hegs Pegs are 2 years old and I love them! Going to buy more next week and get rid of the old brittle plastic Supermarket pegs. I’ve never had a problem with Hegs breaking, looks like they overcame that a few years ago

I just love your pegs – I still love hegs pegs. I had to buy at least the 18 pack because I use them to fold down food packages and kitty litter bags and I lost some. I take them off the line every time I use them.

Nope. One out of each pack was faulty. Yeah won't stay on the line without cloth between. Talked to the company about replacements, reluctant even after I showed photos. Then promised but never sent.. do not buy.

False advertising! Hegs pegs dent and damage your clothes! – I bought these because this company claims their pegs leave little to no crease marks on your clothes. TOTAL CROCK. These pegs leave the worst dents in my clothes of any pegs I've ever tried. 3 of my tops, 1 pair of shorts and 1 pair of pants have discoloured marks and the dents are so deep they've actually thinned out the fabric. After contacting… Read more

customer 'care', they did not care. Just a copy and pasted generic response. Fix your product. Until then I'm never buying any more of your product and warning everyone not to buy from you.

Best pegs ever! – I bought these about 6 years ago and they still look like new, no breakages or colour fading. They’re amazing, I love them. My only regret, is I can’t buy them here in NZ.

These pegs sure are the business! – After over 40 years of marriage, I've finally learned that the best way to keep pegs durable is to store them inside and take them outside when hanging the washing on the line. I bring them in again when the washing comes in. It's a small downside but worth it because Hegs pegs are so good. I have stainless steel ones too and although they are… Read more

indestructible, they tend to slide on the line. Hegs pegs stay put even in high winds. I'm going to buy more next time I go shopping. 10/10 from me.

You can’t go wrong with these fabulous Pegs – I love these pegs they do what they say no marks on clothes extra little hooks on the outiside for my daughters make up cloth hoops and hanging your coat hangers such a clever thing. It’s the little things that make me happy when boring tasks are made easier for you will never go back to wooden ones. Also environmentally friendly made from recycled plastic.

Withstood 90km/h winds – Owned these pegs for over a year now and after leaving them out in cyclonic conditions was shocked to find every single item of clothing still attached to my washing line. These pegs are fabulous, well worth the money!

Wouldn't bother with any pegs other than Hegs Pegs – I have been using (and recommending to family and friends) these pegs since they were first available. The latest ones I bought were a 42 pack of pastel colours (pale pink, pale blue and pale green) for an upcoming Baby Shower. Just gorgeous.

Used to be great pegs – I bought my Hegs pegs probably 6 years ago and not one of them has broken, which is surprising as they are kept outside in a peg bag in hot North Queensland while not being used. My son, who lives in the same town, bought the pegs about 2 years ago, on my recommendation, and practically all of his pegs have broken at the plastic hinge. Obviously… Read more

something in the materials are now different which needs to be addressed. I love my old Hegs pegs and I definitely got my monies worth.

2 words... Plastic hinge – I'm not sure where the hype for these came from. Grandmas traditional wooden pegs have these beat in longevity, but not in pretty colours? The plastic hinge is the major failure point of these, and once that goes the peg goes in the bin. Can't turn 2 broken pegs into one like the traditional style. I would guesstimate 2-3 months of daily-ish use is how long to expect the pegs to last.

Unbeatable pegs – Brilliant. Best pegs I’ve ever used. Strong. The hook is very innovative and useful for clothes hangers. I bought 20 at aldi two years ago and finally they had them in stock again so went and bought another 50. Particularly happy that they are made right here in Australia

Not a long life peg – Yep the plastic bridge breaks. They don't last long. Pity they didn't rust or leave marks on the clothes. Won't replace them too expensive. I will investigate the stainless steel pegs, but I suspect they will be cheap Chinese s s which dusts up in no time. Still await the perfect peg

Not good for delicate clothes – We have had them for years ,but the clothes and sheets were getting small holes in them were they were getting pegged.if you have a good look at the inside of the peg you can understand why they are damaging the clothes.maybe the company could design the with the inside flat.

These pegs are the best. Would never go back to any other type – Love these pegs. I bought the new soft shades. Had the orange ones for two years before they would break in the middle. To me that was very good value. I get excited to hang the washing now and I enjoy the beautiful colours I chose. Got some for the lady at work for her birthday and her husband threw their old pegs out and said to get some… Read more

more he loves them too. I dont think I could go back to any others. I use a clothes horse on the 20th floor of our apartment block and They never come off in the wind. If you put them on really thick things like bath mats they can sometimes break but to me that is a small issue compared to the joy I get out of using them. We are going to order more through work for staff birthdays. May even put some in the men packages too!!! LOVE THEM

They snap apart in the middle – Loved these at first, great feel, always kept the clothes on the line no matter how windy the weather. However after a while the plastic bridging part weakened and broke apart. I am now paying a bit more and buying the new stainless steel pegs.

They keep breaking!! – A design fault in these pegs as they have all snapped on the moving plastic part where it opens and closes. I purchased these for being an Aussie invention but 6 months latter they have all broken.

OMGoodness these are pure rubbish !!!DO NOT BUY! – I thought I’d support an Aussie invention, yes like a lot of reviews these are good for a couple of months and then they break at the weakest point, each time I put clothes on the line at least 3-4 pegs break, so I have an accumulation of rubbish pegs. What’s the point of these. They’re pretty expensive and claim to last yet that’s just plain… Read more

rubbish. Don’t waste your money! I’m so disappointed, like so disappointed. The company doesn’t acknowledge there’s a problem. The pegs need to be taken off the market and not waste our precious money of consumers.

Perfect Pegs – Great pegs had mine 3 years they have not snapped, they are in the same new condition as when I bought them. I have a bit of hand arthritis and they make it a lot easier to slip the peg over instead of trying to open a peg up. They grip the clothes and dont come off when its very windy like other push on pegs. The only problem is I need to buy… Read more

more and I cant find where to buy them, as some of the suggested stockist arent stocking them so it would be great if you could buy them on line, someone has got them on eBay for nearly $30 a packet so I dont think I will be buying them from ebay.

Good idea at the time! – Happy to pay higher price for better, long-lasting pegs. Most of my pegs have now broken at the plastic hinge - they're not left out in weather & many have only been used in the shade. Very disappointed.

Absolute rubbish! – I bought these pegs because they were supposed to be durable and last significantly longer than others. I ended up with 2 massive washing lines full of them (over 300 pegs!) and they are breaking in half at an alarming rate. Yes I do lots of washing, but they are NOT in direct sunlight and do not get wet. I contacted Hegs and the General Manager… Read more

said he'd post me some complimentary hegs pegs. Two months later I am still waiting for them! I was initially happy to be supporting an Australian business, but now I'm full of regret because the product can't perform and they aren't cheap. It's obvious from other reviews here that hegs pegs are flawed. No wonder people look to buy products from overseas.
