Awful quality, not built to last – My 40 inch Hisense smart TV always had pretty poor picture quality. The colour looked very unnatural. The remote control stopped working, the buttons are virtually non responsive. But my main issue is some kind of faulty backlighting? Any show with a night time scene in particular is basically in the dark. The entire picture looks really… Read more

distorted & the colour is completely off. I liked the smart features, but the quality is really suspect. Of course ours deteriorated right after the warranty expired. I definitely wouldn't buy a Hisense again.

Fantastic T.V. overall – Had this TV for about 3 or 4 years, never had a single issue. And I use it daily as well as being a big gamer the tv gets lots of use! Its never let me down, it does exactly what it says it will and does it well. Only thing that can be annoying is the slow guide menu. When searching for channels it can be a little slow. No shadows on the… Read more

screen, no dead pixels, no image or panal issues. There is nothing to complain about.

I'm updating to a 65" 4k smart tv now and I will be buying Hisence again.

Excellent – Never heard of Hisense til after we bought it and that was on channel 9 morning show where they were plugging it but willing to take the risk at the price, so far so good. Easy to set up by my husband who's not great with electronics. Picture quality to me is excellent, excellent sound, for a smart tv it's easy to operate switching to SBS on… Read more

demand easily.

Sits in an alcove, quite light as I shift it to clean the shelf under it.

From a person not tech minded it's an excellent buy on a budget from HN with 24mth product care so I'm covered in case something goes wrong.

Some may regard it as basic.

We've had expensive Panasonic and Sony to cheaper Palsonic TV's and found they all last about the same time.

I would buy a Hisense TV again when this one gives up.

Hisense series 3 50K3110PW – I purchased this tv 6 months ago and am very displeased with the it. I’ll start with pro’s and then the cons: Pros 1/. It’s cheap 2/. It is built well, doesn’t wobble too much on its feet, display panel doesn’t have any waves or distortion, wide viewing angle, good picture quality. 3/. 3 HDMI inputs 4/. Dedicated app buttons(YouTube, Netflix ) … Read more

Cons 1/. Firmware issue exists with the series 3 models that effects wifi connection (V00.01.00a.G0314), hisense have no updated firmware in the immediate future for this model. 2/. Menus timeout and revert to the last source ( ie tv, av, hdmi, composite, component ), frustrating when trying to sort an issue. 3/. No option to customise labels for inputs. 4/. Slow channel changing. 5/. Limited display settings, especially when connecting a laptop via hdmi. 6/. Poor quality remote, lettering wears off keys quicker than any other brand I’ve used before. 7/. Poor response time from hisense tech support online.

I highly recommend you research all the brands and make your own mind up before making a purchase. But don’t buy this one! Remember, cheap is not good, and good is not cheap. Spend wisely

Hisense Dumb TV – It is a very painful tv to use on the internet. The Opera browser and the onscreen key board are painfully slow. When watching anything involving video the tv always goes into a buffering freeze. The only way to rectify it is to turn off the power for 10 seconds. At times the tv will switch to tv mode without any input. It Has been factory… Read more

reset, retuned etc. It pixelates badly when watching terrestrial TV. Motherboard and WiFi cards were replaced under warranty after nearly six months of remedies and inaction from Hisense. Made no difference. Now they blame my ISP and NBN. Also asked how many devices do we have connected to our home network and said that five was too many. Only ever connect the TV on its own and it is connected by Ethernet cable. I asked for refund and they said that the will credit the Good Guys store of purchase after getting all the details. Get to the store to find they hadn't. Good Guys Northland mucked me around for over an hour and refused to give me a refund as I am entitled to under consumer Law. They will only refund if Hisense credit them. They want their money first so they're not out of pocket but the customer can be. Now they are only offering a repair. Hisense are no longer offering a credit to the store. Will never buy any Hisense product again not shop at the Good Guys Northland. Spoke to Consumer Affairs and they said they can't make The Good Guys refund. Aren't they the department that is suppose to enforce the Consumer Laws? They suggested sending emails to the Good Guys Northland and Head Office and also to Hisense Australia. If no joy then off to VCAT. What a waste of time and effort. PS. It sat in the box unused for 4 months after I bought it.

Okay tv. Not worth the price tag – The tv is slow, the lag from remote button press to onscreen movement is infuriating. The biggest issue I have with this tv is the wireless connectivity to a tethered smartphone network - it only accepts the 2.4Ghz range not the 5Ghz range, thus the consequence of such means that Netflix/Online drops out all the time. Being today end of 2021,… Read more

many streaming. Providers are available, you only have the choice of YouTube and Netflix built in. Not the plethora of other companies. And it takes a long time to navigate through the browser to get any others.

The only pro I can say this the picture quality is good, it's sharp and the colour saturation is good. However, Being only led backlit the depth of black colours in a well lit room (living room) is highly refractive and thua makes it a suitable tv for a darkened room.

Enjoy

Not built to last! – I’ve had the TV 3 years and in the last 3 months, it started acting strange. Wouldn’t turn on unless you unplugged it and plugged it back in. When I contacted customer support, the first question he asked was did I try unplugging it. I guess they know they have an issue. Then he asked if I bought an extended warranty. 10-15 years... I guess they don’t worry about quality anymore. I wouldn’t waste your money on this brand, unless you can afford to replace it every couple of years.

Love the picture quality – I looked at tv’s for quite some time and to be honest I wasn’t sure on hisense because I didn’t know much about them. A friend of mine had recently got one prior to me getting one and watching tv at there’s I was quite impressed and sold on getting one myself being the quality of the picture and sound and was Really good. easy to use and the price was far cheaper than Samsung and Sony or LG and the 3 year in home warranty sealed the deal  Show details

BEWARE- APPS will be Useless – Bought this 55” tv from Good Guys chadstone. Did well for a year but after a while YOuTube & Netflix froze, got on call with Hisense customer service & they advised factory reset which was done twice or thrice but no result then customer service guy came up with a shocker and advised me to contact YouTube ( yes 100% true) to fix the problem.… Read more

Really Enjoying This TV – TV s have really come along since my last upgrade and I am really impressed with the Hisense. Beautiful crystal clear picture. Lovely colors, plenty of brightness and decent black separation. Audio quality is OK but I will be investing is a soundbar to make it better. Remote is OK, I would probably prefer something simpler but its good. Really enjoying the smart part too. Its great to watch Youtube on the big screen Good TV  Show details

Good value for money – Bought this tv from JB around a year ago for a small bedroom. Around $350 mark and easy to use. since it’s a smart tv, I quite often use it for YouTube Chanel. The tv is not very thin (slim back) but since I’m not mount it on the wall, it did bother me.  Show details

Good Picture Good TV – We watch less TV these days and more online content but we often Chromecast it over to the TV. Hisense have been around long enough now that we thought we would give them a go. Great TV – So if your the same as me which is that you don't want a huge TV dominating your room and you don't buy many 4K films/tvshows then this TV is more than good enough. much else for our taste.

That's how we look at it.... your TV is only as good as it's weakest component and in this case that's 1990 and 2000 repeats.

Hisense offers good value and we think excellent quality for our needs.

Amazingly responsive UI – I love this TV. Picture quality is great and compared to other TV's I've brought the UI is much more responsive and intuitive. My only minor complaint is that it was a bit hard to find a screwdriver sized to put on the legs, but aside from that I would highly recommend this tv for spaces that requir a 40 inch TV.  Show details

ok tv, but not the best – decent tv for the price range, but sound levels are very low and picture quality is a little disappointing. pixels are clearly visible and sometimes letters on screen are distorted. very slow to surf through channels and the menu. i would rather pay a little more and get a better quality tv from respectable brands and better quality.  Show details

A great TV for cheap – When buying an unknown brand of TV you are a little skeptical as you don't know if they are going to work or be up to the standard you think. This Hisense is brilliant. The screen is nice and sharp, the resolution is great and the colours a very vivid. The speakers are loud, but if you want stereo you probably will get a spreader system. The smart TV aspect goes unused for me as I think its slow and choppy. Overall a good TV for the price.  Show details

Good picture, but slow as a turtle – Bought this TV for a cheap price, so overall it is a good TV. My only two issues with it are, one it takes forever to start. Mine takes about 20 seconds to allow me to change channels or volume. And two there's no update to the android, which makes the smart feature unusable. Much better off buying a chome to make it smarter. Other than that it is fine, picture quality is great, sound if amazing, good size.  Show details

Value for money – We find the picture and sound quality very good. The 7plus app is a little unreliable at times. That information came from a forum I came across on the Net accidentally. I don't know about HDMI

Ports as having 2 that didn't seem to do anything till the problem was solved with the DVD Recorder and I don't really know if the HDMI has any bearing and don"t care. Thanks for asking and all round we think it is a reasonable buy but be aware to get all the amenities you want from this unit on its own. Valerie

Affordable and excellent resolution – The picture quality is mint - clear and does not lag. Speakers are good but can be improved especially in a noisy atmosphere it tends to be quite low. The sound quality is good though, very clear. More than enough ports to connect other devices. Operating system is good but sometimes a bit slow when switching to youtube or hdmi. it will be good to add external features such as rotating screen 45 degrees to make it convenient  Show details

Great TV – Great TV. The picture quality is great and honestly FHD is fine for me with a 50" screen. The sound is ok without being anything special. The big downside is that the OS can make the TV very slow at times when changing from live tv to video, or indeed changing any settings.

The remote has a netflix button and a youtube button which makes things super easy.

Good TV for price – Overall everything is fantastic. It offers WiFi connectivity, YouTube and Netflix at the touch of a button. USB and HDMI ports available. True value for money! – We bought this as our last TV just gave up the ghost, we were left with sound only... so bought in haste but have not regretted the purchase at all. and the response was a cope out....and was basically blamed for damaging my own tv and was told accidental damage is not covered by warranty. What accidental damage may I ask??? the tv has been wall mounted since day one and one extreme hot day and the screen cracked and its my fault ???. I replied back to the email requesting a call back....to no suprise, no return phone call to date.

I will not support this company again, very poor customer service and clearly they don't back their product, you buy the tv and when it fails its your fault regardless.

A week has now passes since i requested a phone call from Hisense Customer Care Manager and to no surprise there has been no contact from Hisense whatsoever.. This is very poor customer service.

Update today from my retailer 24/1/2018 that a Hisense Rep was going to organised someone to inspect the tv (Hisense has not has an approved repairer inspect the tv at all). Was advised by my awesome and helpful retailer that the Rep was overruled but management that no one will be inspecting the tv at all and from still receiving no return phone call from the manager of Hisense Customer Care it goes to show what sort of company Hisense really is. This matter will now be put in the Hands of the Queensland Office of Fair Trade to hold companies like this accountable for not standing behind their shonky products.
