A very budget price for all the features. One can’t expect too much at this price but it does offer a lot of data points. The criticisms are fair. Screen is dull but can be read close up. Rainfall only records today, yesterday and total, but okay for most. No button battery to hold data while swapping out batteries. I found the rainfall sensor sticky at first and had to give it a tap to get it started. Haven’t worked out how to set the altitude. The manual says it will flash and can be adjusted. That didn’t work then it says press alarm/light but no such button. Probably only useful for the forecast function so no great loss. Reports suggest batteries don’t last long but will have to wait and see. Would not be useful for recording yearly rainfall if batteries last 2 months and data is lost changing them.

Holman products are overpriced, unreliable and not functional – The Holman weather station is a totally useless product if you really want to understand your local weather. Absolutely no data is retained apart from the rainfall since the last daily reset time. The wind speed is a waste of time as you have no idea of the strongest wind gust for the day - even the current wind speed does not appear accurate. How much rain did you have yesterday - don't know as I didn't check the screen before it reset at 9:00 am. The screen itself is very difficult to read as it is only a very dull black and grey screen with no brightness adjustment. There is also no way of remotely monitoring the weather as it only communicates with the terrible screen. Unfortunately I received this as a gift otherwise I would be definitely returning it. I must say, my overall experience with all Holman products is very negative - tap timers, hose fittings and hose reels that never last and usually break just after the warrantee period, exorbitantly priced lights and controllers that cannot be integrated with anything else other than other holman products.

Great for checking the weather – Holman introduces the new Wireless Data Centre Weather Station intelligent environmental data weather station. The system consists of a data-gathering station that is mounted on the outside of your home and transmits the collected data wirelessly to a pad inside the house. It displays all the readings and results including wind direction, speed, rainfall, humidity, moon phases, barometric pressure forecast with trends and indoor/outdoor temperatures with an adjustable alarm function that alerts you when temperatures get too hot or too cold for your comfort. Formally known as the iWeather Digital Weather Station. Indoor and outdoor units Wireless communication Quick set up time Retrieves wind speed, direction, rainfall and temperature information Large, easy to read LCD with a digital clock

Great little unit. Price very reasonable. Easy to use . Would recommend.
