I had high expectations for the HoMedics Therapist Select Plus after hearing good things about it, but my experience has been disappointing. The six interchangeable heads are a great feature, allowing for targeted muscle relief, and the rubber grip handle is comfortable to hold. The battery life is decent, lasting up to 4 hours on a full charge. … Read more

However, the build quality feels cheap, with the plastic casing lacking the premium feel you'd expect at this price. The motor is louder than advertised, which can be annoying during use. Most importantly, the percussion isn’t as powerful as I’d hoped, especially on higher settings, and it struggles to provide effective deep tissue relief. While it has its perks, the HoMedics Therapist Select Plus falls short in performance and durability, and I would recommend looking for other options if you're after a more powerful and quiet massage gun.

Was good until it wasn't – Like other reviews, I've had battery issues. My massager is roughly 2 years old, and had minimal use and kept in the storage bag. Needing it for a painful shoulder it was fully charged and reading at 99% But this charge dwindled to a cut out in 4 minutes. I repeated the charging process, it repeated its dying process. I've contacted the manufacturer but I doubt I'll get anywhere having read others experiences. Very disappointing.

Poor button location – Massager has decent power. Charges ok, perhaps a little slow. Fits the hand ok. The massager has 1 huge flaw. The activation button is on the handle. This means if you hold it to use it ( what else would one do?) you inadvertently turn it off. This completely ruins the experience. I feel the machine was designed on 3d software and never tested.… Read more

It's almost useless.

I hate to give a bad review. But money is money. And this design flaw is a big deal.

Made to break, company does not care – Bought a massage gun paying the extra thinking Homedics was a reputable brand. Wrong. Massage gun broke not even a month after the warranty ended and we had not used much so if we had used normally I think this product was made to break just on warranty end (as I see has been the experience of other people too). Of course as it was a month after… Read more

warranty I had then lost the receipt. Company at first seemed helpful but after then dragging the issue out for over 6 months (requesting photos of broken product then not responding) refused to help and offered a discount voucher for another of their products. I don't think so, why would I purchase something else and waste more money for it to break just out of warranty period? A company that does not back their own products and does not seem to care about the customer. Do yourself and the environment a favour and stay away from this brand until they get the hint from all of these reviews that their products and service are obviously not what they used to be. My massage gun, bag, attachments all going to landfill along with my money. I don't believe one year out of such a product is fit for purpose or reasonable. How distressing and disappointing Homedics.

Battery dies after two years of normal use – The battery died after two years of normal use. There is no way of replacing the battery, so the product is rendered useless. The massage gun itself is decent and provides a solid massage. The warranty is only for one year. I contacted both Myer (who sold it) and Homedics. Both did not offer any assistance. Show details

Ok for 20 uses, then battery died shortly after the warranty expired – This massager worked well for the first month then I didn't use it for a year. Now it has a 30 second battery life. I contacted Homedics to get a replacement battery but they were only interested with selling me another massager which would probably join the first as land fill in 13 months. Hint for buyers: Only buy a massager with a 4 hour run… Read more

time, that way in 2 years when the battery capacity drops to 25% it is still usable. Better still, buy one that has replaceable batteries.

Perfect for my needs – Have had this for quite awhile now and it hasn’t missed a beat. I usually find level 1 or 2 sufficient and the battery lasts quite a long time between charges. I’m so glad we purchased it as I have regular muscle spasms and I find it really helps relieve the pain and tension. I’ve found all of the attachments useful and the carry case is very convenient with moulded storage to keep everything organised and secure if you’re travelling.

So glad I bought it! – Very happy with this product. Only issue is it's quite heavy and I end up with sore arm after using it on my neck. If you have weak arms/hands or arthritis in arms/hands I would not recommend for you. This has made a huge difference in helping loosen tight muscles. Lessening headaches. Show details

Good massager for home use – Purchased to supplement between visits to remedial massage - its a great little machine, heavy enough to enable sufficient pressure without it bouncing off your skin. Comes with a few attachments which are simple and effective to use. The operation is simple - turn it on at the bottom and a small LCD screen shows the battery percentage and has a +… Read more

and - symbol to turn up the operating speed or turn it down. Has 6 speeds but have found at level 1 or 2 it more than good enough to do the job. Its quiet and not obtrusive to other people and can sit and massage neck and shoulders whilst watching TV. The battery seems to to have a long life - its rated at 4 hours or so between charges - rechargeable power is good, no cords to dangle.

Pros: Heavy enough to help keep up the pressure without undue force (1.7 kg) Rubber grip handle (tactile) Quiet operation - not noisy Well constructed and feels "solid" 4 hours run time - 4.5 hrs. charge time 6 different attachments Carry case Pretty good value

Cons: Cant find any real negatives

Massage At Home – Well packaged and constructed device, with 6 massage intensities and 6 attachments for relaxation or for targeting pain points. A cordless, rechargeable unit makes it portable. Great battery life too!
