I was a Hostinger user for many years. I had a website which I managed and when there was a problem dealing with customer service agents was a huge hassle. Horrible customer service. Absolutely crap. Terrible experience. I got ripped off through deception. They told me my domain was expiring on a certain day, so I renewed it a couple of days before the expiry date. The payment went through and they took the money, but they didn’t actually renew my domain, and it expired anyway. When I contacted customer service, they told me… Read more

'Stinger' is apt - but not in a positive way – I tried Hostinger a few years ago and found them to be less than ideal. So I left. Transferred my domain name and hosting away from them. That was in late 2022. Eight days ago, I received an emails from them informing me my hosting plan was being transferred to a new server and that my IP address and server location would remain the same. I… Read more
emailed them for clarification, saying I had left them more than two years ago, but never received a reply. I received another email at 1.02am today, telling me the transfer of my website had started. And 3 minutes later, another email arrived telling me the trasfer was complete, and (despite their earlier advice that my IP address and DNS records would remain unchanged) my NEW IP address was blah blah blah, and I would need to update my DNS records within the next 7 days or my website will become inaccessible. My current hosting provider (SiteGround) reassured me that my website sits firmly within SiteGround's control, and Hostinger cannot touch it or do anything to impact it. But it would have been nice to receive some sort of response/clarification from Hostinger. Guess it says heaps about their customer service ethic (or lack thereof!)

such network-level blocks. This means that despite a clear diagnosis of a critical infrastructure issue, the current support channel is unable to directly facilitate its resolution.
This limitation is extremely concerning. It means a fundamental server function (DNS resolution), which is critical for the stability and operation of my services, remains broken with no clear path to resolution through the provided support channel.
I urge the Hostinger management team to review this process. It is vital for customers to have a direct and effective escalation path for infrastructure-level issues that fall outside the scope of first-tier support or AI agents.
I am still awaiting resolution of this outbound UDP port 53 block, as it continues to prevent full functionality of my server.

Hostinger is awful, especially with access to support: everything of necessity is behind a wall which is ridiculous for a paying customer who needs urgent assistance...how is a 2 day turnaround, in any way, helpful ? The way Hostinger has treated me so far with all of this cr#p has left me seriously questioning whether I need to change to an alternative business who isnt going to pass me off to a soulless bot.
To anyone thinking of using Hostinger, take time to read the other reviews on here because you wont get value for money: your money is being funnelled into the pockets of corporate CEOs and middle management - there would be MINIMAL customer support staff- hence why there is a 2 DAY TURN AROUND FOR HELP.

Poor Communication between team, No common sense this cost me a lot. I have been with hostinger using their services for hosting, domains and emails etc for a long time. I explained their team member that until the new plan is active i would like the current hosting to remain active so my websites don't stop working. I was assured this would ok. Not the case. 2 days later the refund was processed and while i was on the chat with another team member who had no clue about my chat and i had to send her the whole chat piece by piece to explain the price i was offered for agency, she refused to give me the price since it has been two days. Not my fault, this is not how business is done in australia. You quote something you honour it. she said she has stopped my hosting and will take 24 hours to match the price, surprise surprise everything stopped working. As a agency i cannot let this happen to my clients, so i had to buy the agency hosting at higher price straight away and tell my team to restore the website. Not really happy about the way this company is dealing in Australia, making promises and not keeping them, i hope ACCC looks at them. will be complaining to ACCC about this as well. but clients be aware this is an honest review.

was not a client-side or configuration issue. It was confirmed to be on Hostinger’s side.
The real cost of this outage was not the hosting fee. It was the business damage.
If you run any serious business, do not rely on Hostinger’s “cheap” infrastructure. The risk is far more expensive than the price.

Star rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Title: Hostinger forced a logout mid-session after email/domain change — chat-only support + invasive “verification” Review: We’ve been paying Hostinger customers for years, using their domain registrar, web hosting, and professional email services. On December 12, 2025, after we updated our business email address and… Read more
changed our domain, Hostinger flagged “suspicious activity” and forced a mid-session logout—we were actively using the platform when access was cut off. We were then locked out of our Hostinger account and unable to access services we’ve already paid for, including business-critical domains, DNS, hosting, and email.
In short: Hostinger forcibly logged us out after a routine email/domain update and then demanded highly sensitive financial documentation—with no phone escalation—while our infrastructure remained inaccessible.
Since then, the Hostinger account recovery process has been chaotic and high-risk. Support requested images of debit/credit cards used for payments and bank statements as part of “verification.” I understand security controls, but forcing customers into a workflow this sensitive—while they’re locked out and cannot confidently validate every request in real time—creates a serious trust and security problem. This is exactly how legitimate customers get trapped between “prove it’s you” and “don’t share sensitive documents unless you’re 100% sure who’s asking.”
The other major issue is the lack of meaningful phone support. When domains, DNS, and business email are mission-critical, chat-only support (often feeling automated) is not acceptable during an urgent lockout. A provider selling business infrastructure should have a clear, human-led escalation path when access to paid assets is restricted.
Beyond this incident, the value proposition is weak. Hosting performance is comparable to other mainstream providers, and domain pricing and transfers have increased enough that staying on is no longer cost-effective. If/when access is restored, we will migrate all services to another provider.
What Hostinger should improve (immediately):
* Provide a real human escalation path for account lockouts (phone or verified live escalation). * Publish a clear step-by-step account recovery checklist with timelines and decision points. * Use safer payment verification options (or explicitly allow redaction and clearly state document storage, access controls, and retention/deletion). * Don’t hold DNS/domain access hostage during a “review” when ownership can be verified through safer methods.
Date of experience: 12/12/2025 — ongoing (still unresolved)

They pushed me into doing a manual migration, which turned into a frustrating, time-wasting mess. Every step failed because of their terrible server performance and broken process. It honestly felt like they’ve made it difficult on purpose so people give up.
Their support was useless — all they did was repeat the same instructions that didn’t work. No real help, no accountability, just empty replies and a lot of wasted time.
After all the frustration, I’ve decided to cancel my Hostinger plan completely and move my website to VentraIP, which is already proving to be miles better.
Hostinger is a scammy, misleading company that hides behind marketing promises but delivers none of them. If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from Hostinger. They are the worst hosting provider I’ve ever dealt with.

This request was submitted within the 14-day legal window and has been repeated at least three times through your support system, including clear communication with your team—especially a representative named [Name Removed], who assured me support was on the way.
To now receive a generic message stating that the refund window has closed is a complete denial of reality and documentation. Your team did not process my request when they should have, and now I am being punished for your failure to act.
Furthermore:
The domain was never delivered, despite being part of the promotional offer
I requested the cancellation and refund multiple times, following your process exactly
You continued to charge my account without authorization, totaling €80
I have received no valid solution, no offer, and no refund
This is the second time this issue has happened to me with Hostinger
You are not only ignoring basic customer service but also violating consumer protection laws in Germany and the European Union, where such practices are considered abusive.
I now formally request:
A full refund of €80.00
Written confirmation that no further charges will be made
A serious and respectful proposal for either resolving the issue or honoring the original domain+hosting offer
If this matter is not resolved within 5 business days, I will submit complaints to:
The Verbraucherzentrale (German Consumer Protection Authority)
The European Consumer Centre (EU ODR platform)
