Very poor quality and very noisy when working. (which is very rare). Not even a good anchor, too light and flimsy – Spent a full afternoon trying to get it to work. Total fail in every respect. Biggest piece of crap I have ever had the misfortune to try and set up Show details
Even if HP gave this printer away it would be expensive – I paid $60 for this at Officeworks to have a cheap printer for the odd form I need to print. What a mistake. Two ink cartridges cost $20 more than the actual printer. If you're lucky a cartridge will print 20 useful pages (so roughly $2/page). It also prints 'test' pages every time you turn it on, sometimes 2 or 3 at a time, wasting paper and at… Read more
least a page of ink for every 4 pages printed. It won't accept non-HP cartridges any more. Initially it did, and they lasted at least 10 times longer than the HP cartridges. Now it spits out a message saying it's 'counterfeit'. So I tried putting an old HP cartridge back into it, deciding a faded grey print was better than no print. It tells me that's also 'counterfeit' or refilled, so I can't even use the dregs of ink from an old cartridge. I won't be buying any HP product ever again, and this one will shortly end up in landfill because it is, essentially, a useless money pit that I wouldn't give away to some other unfortunate person. I would give it a 0 star review if I could.
biggest waste of money – Had this for a year the it started to really play up. Wouldn't pull paper through, failed to print correct paper size, even though set correctly, and the latest is the ink problem. It would flash that i was out of black ink, replaced that, a week later I'm out of colour, now that has been replaced and it is showing the black ink is empty, even… Read more
tough this was changed a week ago and has no been used since except to print a test page.
I'm now looking at an alternative, as this is just wasting money and wont work
syphilitic prostitute better value – At least there is a moment of satisfaction before the regret of purchase when visiting a syphilitic prostitute. No coherent instruction where is the wireless connect button hey? Avoid at all cost. Would pay someone with an Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind device to erase ever having this device. am completely happy with my low budget printer thank you hp – A good low budget printer! I have had a great run with this little beauty - none of the issues that others have reported - in fact I purchased a second one for my studio. I didn't expect photo image quality just needed a basic printer to take the load from my much more expensive model- very satisfied with both - printing is clear and good colours… Read more
for low cost printer - connects fine- never had a jamming problem if the paper was loaded correctly and if I'd had the problems of other reviewers I would have taken it back.
Is it a printer? Technically yes. Was it sent from heaven to test your patience? Absolutely – I was like you. I thought "I need a printer for small jobs now and then. I don't want to spend too much money so this will be fine." Before you buy this, ask yourself: do I want to spend up to 60 minutes troubleshooting each (and I mean each) print job? Do I like keeping HP print and scan doctor on my desktop and running it at least twice every… Read more
time I want to print a form? Do I want to spend four out of seven pages of ink and paper on test pages? (Another two are failed prints)
Every boot up there is a new issue. Today we are printing blacks as greens. Tomorrow every page is 50% too small. Next week it won't print at all. All of these are greeted by incessant beeping and the diagnostic program telling you everything is fine.
If you have too much time on your hands and like the busywork of senselessly troubleshooting a brand new printer, the HP 2130 is for you
P.S. Not a word of a lie I think it just shorted my power.
Waste of money – If you want a horrible printer that wastes your cartridge and paper for printing MANY test papers, here is the perfect printer. Absolutely horrible to work with because every time you want to print something, It takes AGES for it to finally agree and print what you want, let alone it printing ANOTHER test paper. Very annoyed that I spent money on… Read more
this later to having to spend more money on cartridge almost every week. I recommend to buy from a different printing company.
Continually jams paper - returning it - only worth half a star if that! – Printed out the test page perfectly, then followed with 1 further page and has jammed ever since Printer just continually jams and shows an error message Don't buy it - I'm returning this one! Show details
garbage printer right out of the box – order this from ebay from day one i've had trouble with it. first the paper jams a lot it doesn't seem to grab and feed the paper properly nearly every time it flips to the right causing you to have to use the resume button. and second brand new ink tanks and i go to print out a photo and it's all green, and this is brand new. i print a test page… Read more
