Terrible product, fair enough that it was like $39, you'd expect cr#p but unexpected it to atleast work. it struggles to print anything taking an absurdly long time. I replaced the ink cartridges and the black ink simply does not work, and yes I removed the small plastic protector thing from the heads. The app will not connect to a diagnostic webpage, it continually times out. HP and this product are literally the worst and I'll never buy their printers again.

Only good as land fill – Absolute waste of money, don't buy it. Can't even set it up and it stays on setting up screen and doesn't move past there I have wasted so many hours trying to get it to even be acknowledged by my laptop and still not able to. Even when switched on and wifi button on as per the instructions the HP app still tells me it is undetected.... You can't use the cable until it is set up with wifi..... land fill.

HP printer user Smart App lock-in backfired – Bought this printer from OFFICEWORKS for $39. Went to HP website to download drivers. Found only a SMART APP to download and after many attempts to install App failed to start. Almost gave up, the HP support site was absolutely useless. So I found a work around to make it run without the Smart App malware, no subscription needed and no need to be online to print, you can also refill your cartridges! You can access the printers menu via its IP address through your browser for set-up. Make sure you toggle no updates! Connect to computer via DIRECT WIFI, search your printers. Will display connected but no drivers. Let MICROSOFT UPDATE drivers with online search. PRESTO it all works flawlessly. Is now one awesome printer with no malware. Ink refill kit from Aliexpress cheap as. This work around should work with other models.

Deceptive and dishonest – My son set this up for me today. I only use a printer for one page now and again. I knew they tried to force you to have a subscription but also knew you could cancel anytime. HOWEVER even when I cancelled purchasing ink every 3 months..the printer won't work after 10 pages!!! I got a notice that id printed 3 pages for set up and only had 7 pages left before 8 july..one month away..and it wont print until i pay!!You are forced to buy ink or the printer stops!!!! I'll be going back to officeworks this week to complain and return the printer. False advertising.. you are forced to have z subscription!!! Very unhappy with this deceptive move.
