a great door stop – Entry level printer. Works great as a door stop. That's pretty much what it's good for. Better alternatives. Felt good eventually dropping it in the bin. The crunch made a satisfying sound. Does that make me a bad person? LOL Show details

Nothing special but fdoes the job. Some problems but not a lot – Print quality is good. Refills are expensive in my opinion but relatively cheap on Amazon. The XL refills, HP claim only give about twice as much ink and cost more than two normal packs. Occasionally the computer cannot find the printer because the WIFI connection vanishes. The fix was to unplug the printer and plug it in again. Also,… Read more

occasionally, it pulls two sheets out of the feed.

I have not used the scan facility.

This is a lightly used printer: maybe twenty to 50 pages a month.

Terrible – Horrendously useless printer, forget trying to use the wifi function for anything but making you really angry. Works once in awhile, and when your really angry at it failing to print after the 10th attempt, it'll casually print the first attempt like nothing happened... I hate this thing so much.

Terrible. Avoid At All Costs! – This is a terrible printer, avoid it at all costs. It uses a lot of ink and is quite expensive to replace. I have a lot of trouble turning it on, wireless printing is less than useless and when wired to the pc, still can't print. Wish I never purchased this printer.

Buggy and limited – Pro's: Was reasonably priced and works pretty OK with non-genuine cartridges. Will sometimes nag for a genuine cartridge. Con's: Can be difficult to print non-letter-size items. No options for custom card stock sizes - only the pre-loaded ones can be used. If you print more than a few copies will go into an endless print cycle until it runs out… Read more

of paper, and is very difficult to cancel out of that. Finally had to turn the wireless option off and use the 'wired' option only as everytime we briefly lost internet connectivity it would lose the printer and it was very difficult to set up again.

Worst ever printer I have purchased – Error message appeared after 2 weeks use and never worked again. Unable to reboot or reprogram. A complete waste of money.

Cheap Printer & easy to use – Bought this at the post office of all places. Has been easy to install and operate. Really like the scan option for attachments to email. Can be difficult to troubleshoot if problems arise though. I only use non genuine refills and no issues so far after 2 yrs of use.

A reliable printer – I've had the printer now for 2-3 years and have used HP and cheap replacement cartridges with it. All have worked well. I'm set up wireless which does exactly what it should do . Set up can be fiddly and I had to reset the IP address once, don't know why but the computer ceased to recognise the printer.

What a load of rubbish – This is one of the most expensive loads of crap on the market, yeah sure the initial price seems fair then bam $100 for replacement cartridges that continually tell you to visit HP then my fantastic (not) machine says I am using inferior cartridges which where genuine and bloody expensive now months later i go too use surprise no ink so i spend… Read more

another $100 now it wont print....so try and get support nope !

Complete waste of money – I must plug/unplug/plug the AC cord in very specific sequence (I do it randomly until it works) to get power. I have to hold the power button for a good 3 minutes. I use more ink cleaning the heads than printing. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. Very frustrating, useless and unreliable printer.

Piece of rubbish – I have had this machine for under 6 months and it will not feed paper anymore, just all of a sudden gets a paper jam every time I try to print. Its always been a pain in the bum, giving countless error messages. I would recommend spending a little more $ and getting something thats going to actually print when you really need it to. like i do now! cheap dosnt feed paper, bad scan & copy quality, always has errors, cheaply made

Why can't someone make a decent printer that only prints black & white !!!!! – What a heap of junk this thing is. From day 1 it has been almost impossible just to get it to turn on. I have to unplug the power cord everytime i want to use it, re-insert it and hold the on button down for what seems like forever whilst singing god save the queen standing on one leg and juggling 8 balls in the air just to get it to power up!… Read more

Well, i'm exaggerating after the bit about having to hold the on button down but not that much! Now it seems like the initial bonus ink lasted longer than the really expensive replacement ink that i purchased 18 weeks ago with the printer for a total of $135.00. I print off maybe 50 sheets of info a week - at the very most - so they have cost me 15 cents per sheet at least. Now it has started printing black writing and peach toned accents! It isn't telling me its running out of ink but that is my only explanation for this sudden change in colour. I don't care about all the extras it can do, i just want a printer that is decent quality, that will last for a few years and that gives the option of printing black and white only if that is what you want (like me and a lot of people i know). I only want to buy black ink. I don't want to have to buy all the colours of the rainbow just to print out black and white copies. Yes i should have taken it back ages ago but i run my own business and just having to go and buy this stupid thing in the first place was a big enough chunk out of my time without having to haul this heavy (i'm 54 and a 5'3" female) object back to where i only just bought it (it feels like anyway) to perhaps get a replacement that will quite possibly be another dud. I suppose i had hoped it would magically fix itself so i didn't have to think about it but now it is just printing peach and black and i have no idea why. I hate this thing with a passion and venting here was the only thing i could think of doing to stop me throwing it out the window!!! Haven't found any Everthing as far as my needs are concerned.

not value – After having this printer for a while now I am happy to write a review although not a positive one for HP. On the good side the printer does have many features that are great including the multifunction options, a free app that allows me to print from my android devices thay would otherwise require me to have same brand printers and to print… Read more

from anywhere in the world (yet to test that, however does the job from anywhere on my property) and little things like both sides printing.

The negatives however have turned me off the brand and can't wait to replace it.

Rarely prints more than one page before saying out of paper despite there being plenty. Nothing has fixed this yet.

Ink is expensive but aren't they all. The bigger issue with this is that you don't get much printed off at all before it runs out. Absolute joke.

Have heard many stories of people using generic cartridges and the machine somehow being damaged and unusable after. Considered trying out for myself but thought money is better spent on a new printer by another brand.

Print quality is horrible even on simple b&w or gray shading print runs. Streaky lines, patches or even pages unprinted.

Scan quality is questionable at times.

All functions especially copying and scanning just take way too long.

Would love to return it but not sure if the receipt is around and got it on sale at a good price.....probably due to its inferiority multifunction, free app for android to print, bad quality, expensive ink that doesn't get the mileage, slow, generally just a bad printer
