This printer is a piece of crap – It does not work!!! Terrible!!! Horrible!!! Stupid!!! Unreliable!!! Waste of money!!! Will never buy HP again!!! Never works!!! It is the worse printer in the history of printers. Beware, don't buy this product. It will not work. The Printer The Scanner The Copier They DO NOT work!!!
Good – I use this unit almost as often as a scanner as I do for its printing capabilities. I have used HP products often in the past and have found them to be reliable so I was confident that this multi function unit would be a good purchase. As far as printing is concerned it is fine for resolution/picture quality but it seems to use way too much ink. … Read more
Another annoying thing is that there is a large amount of software installed with the printer most of which I never use and it seems to be a waste of hard drive space. Well known brand, easy to install and use Ink carteidges seem to run out very quickly, always use much more black ink than colour ink (more than 2:1 ratio), quite slow page rate.
Terrible – I would not know what it's ink consumption is like because I've had it a week and it has only managed to succesfully print 5 pages so far... VERY frustrating, and I would highly recommend people AVOID this product. I'm taking it back tomorrow and demanding a refund. It was cheap. No doubt about it, it was cheap. It keeps saying it's jammed, and… Read more
sometimes it is, chewing a small hole in the paper, and then spitting it out. Occasionally it will print one without a hassle for no apparent reason and then will say it is jammed again.
Bad – My one is an F2180 all in one and it is white, not black as in the photo. I was drawn to this model mostly due to its very low price but i have learnt that you Do get what you pay for. This printer is slow to install and use, its loud, ink doesnt last very long (always replacing it) and it just feels cheap and hollow. If you want a printer that… Read more
just prints copies and scans then buy this but if you want something a little better be prepared to spend a litle extra. Very cheap for an all in one Very slow (claim is something like 16 pages per minute. Thats a lie - i would be lucky to get 5 pages in a minute, even in black and white). Introductory print cartridge did not last very long. Software installation was VERY long, as if it was some game or something. Also prints very loudly
OK – I guess your overall opinion on this machine is going to be based on what you expect. I already have a decent mono laser, however I wanted the flexibility to do the occasional scan and colour print (e.g. cards, etc...). This machine is great for that. If you want something that prints at a decent speed, doesn't cost a fortune to re-ink, or… Read more
overall has a more quality build, then you'll have to fork out a bit more for a better one. Overall rating 3 because it is cheap and meets my low expectations Very cheap Printing is slow, cheap feel to the actual machine, I'm expecting the ink to run out quickly and be expensive to replace
Bad – For anyone using their printer for regular full colour prints stay away from HP! Too expensive and drinks the ink at an alarming rate. Inexpensive purchase price Ink cartridge replacement costs almost as much as the printer!
Terrible – This printer is so slow you would be quicker handwriting what you want to print or drawing the picture if its a scanned photograph. This printer took more than 15 minutes to scan and print a simple photogrph and 3 minutes to print an A4 word document with 12 words on it. I presumed this printer was faulty but i guess it is just a pile of… Read more
rubbish. This site doesnt have a facilty to give a product a negative rating so im going to give it a much overvalued rating of 1 star. Looks like a nice printer Extremely slow scanning and printing.
