HP DeskJet F2180 All-in-One

All in one alright – This is a great printer/photocopier/scanner that's easy to use, produces quality outputs and is a pleasure to own. I mainly use the scanning features for my work documents and the results are clear & easy to read. The printing process is smooth and the photocopying is seamless. I wished I had this years ago, which would have saved me time and money.

Bad – Our replacement ink costs have increased alarmingly with this model - we are looking for something else! Works really well otherwise - would be great if it wasn't for the cost of the ink needed to run the printer. We used to have the HP Deskjet 1200 and we were very happy with it on all counts, cost, reliability, ease of use etc. Expected the F2180 to be just the same. Don't like this model for one reason - frequency of ink cartridge replacement. We have had to replace the ink cartridges at an alarming rate - much more than the 1200 series printer - either they have put less ink in the new cartridges or this model used much more ink than the earlier model.

Bad – Came with a cashback offer which took 5 months to reach me. Had multiple problems particularly with the scanner. Took up heaps of memory and kept freezing my computer. Help from service centre was good, but when asked if this printer was perhaps not compatible with my system the consultant more or less agreed that it would be best to uninstall it. Printing and ease of installation were the only points in its favour. Earlier models of this brand were certainly much better I feel this model has let the product down. I now have bought another brand. Easy installation. Good price. Took up heaps of memory, scanner didn't work properly

Excellent – I have been using this fr two months now bought it for $59 on sale regular$69. I bought it based on how mych the replacement ink cartridges were going to cost me because after owning a lexmark X4270(ridiculous) replacement cartridges cost had to be cheap. The introductory ink cartridge that comes with this printer is not totally filled but boy did i print of some pages in high contrast and fast print.

I loved the quality of the photo print to.

It is user friendly, i love how you can copy and print with out having to turn on the computer.

I was wary of this brand but like i mentioned it was the replacement cost of cartridges that sold me.

Over all i am pleased with it and have not regreted it one bit. It was cheap Ink last (and that was just the introductory ink) ink Replacement CHEAP aswell. Quality is good for home printing i can't find a fault in it
