This hp 5530 printer is next to trash – When trying to print photos off my phone the only size I can print is 5/7. There is no options for full size portrait or 4/6 paper. I can't buy the 5/7 paper locally probably because it's bought out. I had an E machine that would print any thing. I bought this because where I worked all the computers were HP. Shortly after I purchased it they… Read more
switched to Brother computers because hp was to much headache. No wonder HP stopped making them and is suffering because of it.
Terrible printer in the world do not buy – Literally always needs to reconnect to the internet and doesn't have a cord, you have to do everything via wifi. A piece of rubbish , don't waste your money.
waste of money + time – Worked fine until changing a cartridge for the first time - then it kept saying the paper drawer was open and wouldn't change its mind - much troubleshooting and time spent without any resolution - ended up throwing it out . What a POS!!!
Horrible! – This pile of rubbish requires that you set up a payment plan with HP for ink to print anything at all. It only has 32MB of memory, so if a job is not one page it will cancel partway through. And the memory cannot be upgraded at all. The memory is permanently soldered into the circuitry of the "printer". Don't buy this piece of crap. Instead, buy… Read more
yourself one of those heavy, 50 or so lb. office printers. Sure, they're heavy and usually only print in greyscale, but they have far more memory than this glorified pile of trash and can print 300 pages or more in one session without stopping.
Very slow printing – It took 4 mintues to print one A4 page no pictures just a form, it's easy to use but the slowness of the printing makes me want to throw it. If your printing very little and have the time to wait around this is a great printer
Nice cheap printer – Printer was cheap, prints well. Ink cartridges are a bit expensive though. An ink cartridge lasts for a while unless you're printing a lot. would recommend to people on a budget.
Great printer, shocking scanner – I bought the HP Envy 5530 firstly for a scanner, secondly a printer. The printer part of it is good, crisp text and quite fast, but have yet to test a photo/picture. The let down was the scanner. I scannef all my old photos on another very old scanner and they always came out brilliant, whereas this one, even new sharp colour prints come out… Read more
mottled when zoomed in, even scanned at a high resolution, and a complete check of all settings. So disappointed in it. Will have to scrap this printer/scanner and buy a different one, wont trust HP though after this experience.
Best printer I have ever bought – I bought this printer as my other printer (HP Deskjet 1050) was not compatible with my new laptop. I liked the idea of Wifi as well so no cables to worry about. And at $89 it wasn' t expensive if it didn't work too well. It worked perfectly and I was glad I bought it. The best thing was it takes the same cartridge as my old printer so the… Read more
cartridges I had bought in bulk can be used with this new one. It was quick and easy to set up and prints beautifully. I find it quieter than my old printer too. You can also print from your phone or tablet which is very convenient.
great printer! – Great little printer. Easy set up and the kids can print from their ipads from all different rooms in the house. We can also print straight from our mobiles. Has its own wifi signal too!. Easy to setup and only the 1 black cartridge and the 1 combined colour cartridge. For $79. Its a great buy!
