They force you to use their ink. I will never buy HP again. I have had to reinstall software twice. Awful company. Show details

Don’t do it. What a terrible terrible set up system and won’t feed through paper feeder to scam so you won’t get out to work at the start for too some clash with something in windows - 2 hrs of help at 8pm for that - and then no feeding through doc feeder to scan multiple pages. I’ll never buy any hp product again. Nightmare. Disgraceful! Utterly… Read more

appalling. Did what we were told, turned out off for 60 secs, now asked to. Load a printer so have to start from scratch. Never again.

Do yourself a favour and DON'T buy this printer. The only good thing about it, is it looks good. Otherwise it'd look even nicer having a JJ Richards truck going over it time and time again. I mean it when I say, the ink doesn't go far for the price. The price of it is already absurd, but to get bugger all out of it, at subpar quality... I… Read more

replaced my yet again, empty cartridge and got an entire, wait for it... TEN sheets out of it before it's run out again. That has got to be a record. Those 10 sheets? Over an hour of printing time, that is no word of a lie. If only I could possibly put into words how frustratingly SLOW this printer is. It's diabolical. Definitely has no sense of urgency that's for sure.

I wish I had read the reviews beforehand and listened to those that mentioned its supersonic speed (NOT). Don't blink, you'll miss it LOL. Video proof provided of the Usain Bolt speeds in question.

HP support is severely frustrating to deal with also. It appears I must've made an enquiry on new staff recruitment day because between them, they're clueless. Couldn't organise a p*ss up at a brewery that lot.

Print cartridges are HP via HP smart ink supplies and will not communicate with the printer. Have got HP smart ink system paid up to date for ink supplies. No support from Ai as not normal questions and asked for phone call back but nil phone call received, nil help. Will not validate printer cartridge's. Show details

You don't own this printer, you rent it as part of a surveillance system that automatically updates itself (you hope), ties you into their money grab via ink, has no customer service, inexplicably breaks down and cannot be fixed, and is generally a throwaway item for short-term use. Never ever buy this printer. You might as well rip up your money and check it in the bin. Show details

Absolute rubbish!! – Absolutely useless printer. I've always used Canon printers, and I thought that I may use HP just to see if they were better. Better???? Its absolutely rubbish and the cartridges are so expensive... Never again will I buy HP printers.

HP Never Again! – This printer is a dud!!! So many issues with connectivity. Have always bought HP products, but this printer totally smashed my faith in the company. Switching to another brand as I throw this useless rubbish in the rubbish!

Here we go.....HP printer ... rubbish from day 1 – Rubbish printers - and HP knows it ! Don't beleive the happy reviews you'll see on different sites. Their printers are rubbish, and HP knows they are because so many of their printers are now discontinued in Australia. Officeworks, for example, accepted the return of my HP Envy 6000 home printer without question and told me they have had so… Read more

many returned they were not surprised that yet another customer was dissatisfied. Officeworks staff just rolled their eyes, maybe knowing full well the initial sale was an embarrassment. Many models of HP home printers have now been "discontinued". Just look at the list here in Product Review. This printer never managed to be wifi, it gulped ink, it refused to switch off, it chewed paper, and required several apps to set it up, run, or tell you what is wrong with it. Just an incredibly frustrating machine that clearly was never properly tested before being shipped.

Waste of money and time - does not work – Does not work at all. Trying to set this up for my sister as she had difficulties for over a year to set it up. Brochure says "3 easy steps", no way! QR code takes you to Web page set up instructions but this is just a pathway to install an app on your phone. The app is difficult to use, the help is a useless AI thing, that wants you to sign… Read more

up to ink delivery services and tells us the printer has 'expired'. We managed to connect it to wifi, after adding codes from the box and inside the printer, BUT it only prints a faulty test page from the app. When trying to connect to the lap top, the "add printer function" can find it on the network, but when attempting to connect it, it reports 'Failed' and now cannot be removed, refreshed or re-added. They spent loads of money on flashy coloured LEDS, but there are no instructions, the "HP smart" app is a sales device and as dumb as they come and the after no success at all, the printer is back in the box ready for the tip. Totally useless product, total misconception, waste of money and time.

One way ticket to the dump – Just put this in the boot of my car for a one way trip to the recycling point. I was a long term HP loyal buyer but after this I will never knowingly touch a HP product again. Issues:- 1*The cartridges are absurdly expensive for the tiny amount of ink delivered 2*Flimsy construction 3*Prone to paper jamming 4*System lost the weblink despite being… Read more

placed about 1 metre from my laptop 5*Showed "no paper loaded" when the tray was in fact well stocked As a result of issues 3&4 it failed to work when required

DON'T BUY IT – Just needed a simple cheap printer. Have printed less than 50 pages and already need more ink. Unable to adjust ink setti gs. Annoying that it requires wi-fi only to use. Waste of money. Printer information reports prints well, but what I want printed is pale. Not happy with the quality. Show details

Useless – Had it less than a month, worked when first set up, tried to scan a few days later, took an hour to try and get it working, a week after that tried printing, nothing. Spent 4 hours trying to get it going, no luck. Customer support is no help, phone just goes to message saying go onto WhatsApp. Tried chat, it’s just a virtual thing that is useless.… Read more

Tried the HP support sites and even you tube, useless. So basically it is a piece of junk sitting on my desk. It’s going back to the store, getting my money back and buying a different brand.HP are happy to try and sign you up to a useless ink supply and take your money, but when there is a problem they don’t care. Goodbye HP.

Would give zero stars if possible – As someone who has faithfully I used HP printers and laptops in the past, I will never purchase one again. I joined instant ink... for the free period then cancelled. HP continued to charge for months when though I was only printing an average of 10 pages per month... I paid over $1 9 per page when though I had cancelled. Now have spent hours… Read more

trying to scan, print and copy.... can't do it unless I pay again. No more money from me HP...I will never purchase fron you again and my barely used printer will be adding to landfill. My advise... so not buy HP!

HP - Horrible Printers – I purchased this printer a year ago and was talked into getting the ink subscription. The printer was easy enough to set up initially was has been very temperamental. I often have been required to turn it off and on to get it working. Due to the nature of the subscription, if you accidentally print an extra page or two or duplicate pages etc. it… Read more

counts towards your monthly total which is a pain. I think the subscription has ended up costing me a lot more than just buying the cartridges when I needed them. They don't arrive early enough and I have been left without a printer to use because of this. When I try to cancel the subscription, it is incredibly hard to find out how to do this. I ended up cancelling my card instead. This meant that I was not able to use the remaining ink in the cartridges - so they have you over a barrel. Not to mention the interface is confusing and not clear at all. I should have stayed with Canon.

Not so smart printer – You have to connect to HP every time you scan. I don't like HP retaining my data. I change wifi router it took me 2 hours to reconfigure (I work in IT field) I can imagine how it would be for a non IT person

Printer offline – Regularly waste time trying to get the printer to connect wirelessly. Despite setting the printer as the default printer, re-starting the printer and the computer several times, it still will not print. I go to the HP doctor and all of a sudden it starts to print. Bought the printer on-line through HP and have contacted HP about the issue and about getting a refund, but I was told to use on-line help. Show details

Horrendous – The print quality was great whenever it decided to work. Every time you want to print it would not work you have to go through all the settings and then try and log onto the network. seldom with success i actually timed it once and it took me roughly 23 minutes to get it to print a page. I even resorted to turning it on and off it worked once YAY… Read more

I attempted to set it up direct as per instructions Not on your life would it work. out of 5 attempts i had success once. In the end it had to go after printing about 3 pages and a few scans in its short life i had had enough. It actually flew better than it printed just needed some work on the landing. Obviously poorly built it broke into about 8 pieces upon landing I have no idea why it was so complicated to use .There is certainly no one button push and away you go far far far from it. HP should be embarrassed I will never own a HP product again

No simple instructions. A nightmare to set up – (I think this is supposed to be the HP Envy 6034E?) Instead of a simple instruction brochure, it requires online apps, codes, passwords etc etc and seems to be more a personal information gathering exercise than any help. Wouldn't work on my Mac Air and on my phone the setup often stalled. The app tells you when to load the ink and paper without… Read more

saying how (it's not obvious eg the paper draw is hidden) and doesn't even explain where the on/off button is (which is hard to find).

Really bad! – Setting it up with the print subscription was a pain that took me over 2 hours on the phone. The cartridges also never arrive when you need them urgently. Worse though, the amount of errors happening when you print from phone (Wi-Fi, iPhone) are the real problem: printing in the wrong format, stopping halfway through… you end up using your subscription ink before you get any results. A clear DO NOT BUY from me. Don’t waste your money, and nerves. Show details
