HP Photosmart 7520

OK but below Expectation – We have had this printer for about 12-18 months, and in general i works fine. My biggest bug bear is that it very hit and miss with the bluetooth or wifi connectivity, and this is the only way you can connect it to your computer. I know we live in a world were wireless connectivity is the go, but for a permanent install i can't for the life of me understand why there was not a cable connection option. If it had this it would be a great printer, as it does just about everything else really well. But its painful when you just want to print something and the bluetooth or wifi doesn't work!!!!. One great function is the ability to email a doc or photo to it and it prints it out, that is handy.

This Printer does everything! – This is an all-in-one Printer. It prints, copies, scans and can be used as a fax machine. It can be used wireless and can be connected wirelessly to your computer without using a router. It has its own web services menu and its own email address, so documents can be sent directly to your printer. The "Help" screen is very useful and you can also use an app to control your printer from your phone. The printer can also view, edit and print photographs. It is the most comprehensive printer I have ever owned, and after 2 years of constant use the printer has never failed. Highly recommended.
Quality has fallen substantially at HP – The printer does do everything as claimed however after my HP 3300 photo-smart printer this is a serious downgrade!! The E-print service is forever trying to download documents from the internet and albeit at a very slow rate. The ink cartridges are always running out and as the new cartridges do not actually sense the amount of ink in the cartridge the levels are only an approximation. My old HP printer would always work right until the last drop of ink was left in the cartridge. Where the 7520 has so much software it lacks the sufficient hardware to function as a proper printer. My old printer could read film negatives and read data off several different camera chips not just the 2 the photo-card has now on the 7520 Photosmart. It was a serious downgrade, a notable drop in manufacturing quality especially the 564 ink cartridge. No originality or innovation in this product
