Well it's terrible! – The printer is fine, at first, but get this when you run out of one color ink the printer is designed to not work even if you want to print in black!!!. the price of one ink is 1/3 of the price of the printer....in other words... HP have design the printer for you to spend hundreds of dollars...for a very very small ink replacement!!! Works fine for a very short maybe two weeks not more
Jams constantly on envelopes, very slow – Printer is very slow, particularly if starting up and it has to do a 'cycle' - leave it for 5 minutes and come back later! Says it prints envelopes, but will not print A5 envelopes, really bad with DL Envelopes and C4 envelopes don't fit. Scanning isn't too bad, but there are better. Best thing about this one is printing photos... but again… Read more
there are better, and if you are mainly doing general printing or small business printing, stay away from this one. Printing Photos... perhaps? Everything else
Good – Pretty happy with this machine. Does everything that I need it to do. Not too bad ont he ink either. Easy to use and has heaps of functions that even I don't use. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a cost effective office machine. This prints pretty well considering the cost of it. Made from a well known and trusted brand… Read more
name. You can print stuff off without having to start up the computer which is handy. I find that this jams a fair bit when trying to send faxes. Which is not really good for a small business.
OK – It does what its meant to do but at times it can be a bit too high tech for me, not as user friendly as my previous HP printer (not sure of the model number). All in one home printer/scan/fax/photos. Wireless is fantastic. A lot noiser then my last printer and we seem to get more paper jams then I've had with any other home printer (with normal… Read more
80gsm paper). A bit too technical for my liking, tried to print a document from pulisher but the printer wouldn't except the margins. The same document printed first time on a friends simplier printer.
Good – I have had this printer for 5 months now and it has not missed a beat. The photo print quality is great and with a separate tray for photo paper it is always ready to go. A bonus is that non genuine ink refills are available at BigW for much less than the originals and they contain nearly twice the ink. Cheap as chips and good quality. With… Read more
cashback before Christmas 2008 we got this printer for under $200. You can print photos without starting the PC and it will cope with a separate answering machine being on the same line. The unit 'listens' to the call that the answering machine is taking and then grabs it back if a fax signal is detected. It's not a dislike, however with a document feeder and the ability to scan to PDF, I would have liked to see the ability for the software to combine two scan sets (tops then bottoms) to double sided scanning like the printing function will do if you want double sided prints (prints odd then shows you how to reload the paper before printing the other side).
Good – The grey and ice-white colours with silver trim looks good and suits my desktop. Its layout is not too cluttered and is fairly intuitive. There's a colour LCD monitor which is a pretty generous size which can display photos and is easy to see. There's a full set of memory card readers and a PictBridge socket, on the front of the panel. of the card readers is a bit rough but I have not had any trouble with getting cards in and out.
Paper tray is a 100 sheet paper tray and it also has a 20 sheet photo tray that automatically slides forward when you select that you want to print photos.
Installation was quite simple and I am running it via the 802.11g WiFi link. There's a built in fax with software support and a number pad on the control panel. You can connect via USB 2.0 link as well as the traditional hard wired network cable. Looks great and has pretty fair print speed for the price. A little bulky but these printers are improving all the time. Alos the boot time on my PC has increased a little as it sets up the various software tools each time.
Excellent – I have a lot of faith in HP. I had a great experience getting some help recently on the HP site, which entailed chatting to someone (live and free!) in a chat window. Their help and advice was outstanding! This is a brilliant printer. I have the all-in-one which includes fax. I have also used the 2355 series which was equally as good but wanted to upgrade. Have never regreted it and the colours and quality of print are great. None so far.
