Wow. what a hunk of junk (being nice and not swearing here) – I bought this printer as I thought it would be good to print at home. So for a good price I got it, and bought some brand new ink. Had trouble connecting to the network that I use my computer on, and after getting that working, I printed a few test pages to test to see if it works, I got one good photo printed and a page printed for my business. Lo and behold - low ink. Really??? after a few pages? So it cost me a couple of hundred for the printer, $50 for some ink and it prints a photo and one page? At only $125 per page to print this piece of junk is a bargain. From now on, I'm just printing at Officeworks. Don't waste your time and stay away. You have been warned!!!

Purchased at JB Hi-Fi for $100.

Terrible Printer – Bought this printer in 2010. Picked this one as it has so many great features and I needed one that able to be connected via wireless connection. It does print great photos on photo paper and definitely able to print documents etc from anywhere in the house. My problem with this printer is: It eats up the ink like there's no tomorrow. I had to replace the ink cartridges every second months ! And i only use this printer at home, not a home office, just printing odd stuff at home and I only print once in a while. I printed three color photos on standard size photo paper (10x 15 cm) and the ink cartridges needed to be replace! It would be cheaper to order prints from an online store and get it delivered. Still, I thought, I could live with that. Just print black and white documents and occasional color ones if needed. I can always order photo prints online.

Second problem, after about 6 months of owning this printer, it keeps dropping off my home network. My laptop was still connected wirelessly to the network and so is my husband's computer. So definitely not the modem or the router. So i had to manually keep switching the printer on and off each time i need to use the printer. Sort of defeat the purpose of being wireless at this point. This really got me peeved off. Hp support did help solved the problem as it was under warranty.

The third problem (final straw): Suddenly the printer tells me that the 'Printhead installed is not installed for use with this printer or it is damaged'....(#$@%#^????) ... Well never mind...So went on hp online. Followed ALL the instructions to clean it to the tee...NOPE..did not resolve it. So the next solution is to replace the printhead....well.....let me tell you...I can't even find the parts number for this printhead on hp website to even order one. Searched on ebay and amazon, a replacement printhead is going to cost me AUD$120+ with postage. Like the review before me, I only bought this printer for AUD$200.

I guess I will be tossing this printer to the bin.

Need to replace ink too often, Drops out from wireless connection. Hard to find spare parts to fix or replace.

Photosmart Plus B210a poor performance – This printer was about $200 to buy at the time we purchased it. Since then the print driver failed and although HP replaced it, via parcel post, I had to put the pieces in because they don't service the machine. The printer also appears offline on one of our computers which is running Windows 7 64bit and although I've searched on the web for answers, it seems that all I've come across are more people with HP printers who are having the same problem.

HP don't seem to have solutions, so it is very frustrating. Now we have to scan and print from a laptop which is not used near the printer. The computer which is right next to the printer, on the same desk, cannot 'communicate' with the printer - no matter what I try - and I have spent hours trying to fix this.

How can corporations be allowed to make products which fail from the time you buy them?

I would not recommend this printer. Good - when it works. Appears offline with no way to make it go back online - thus you can't print!
