Misleading service – Advertisement stating e2 storage available in Singapore. After looking deeper, it is not available. Raised issue with support. Their response “ Currently, we do not have an ETA as the Singapore location is going through Capacity expansion. We request you enable other nearby regions and upload data in the buckets.” Beware - their advertising is misleading and selling a service or product that is not actually available.

Worst thing ever – Company policy states that photos will be removed 10 days after non payment.. No care that the photos may be irreplaceable or valuable to someone. Boom, deleted… Their emails were coming in like spam and naturally the renewal email was not picked up. Totally disappointed..

Unbelievable customer service!!! – The effort Simon at IDrive has gone to for me was like nothing I've ever experienced from any other company before. He arranged an express posted replacement part, delivered to the caravan park im staying at on holidays. I received the part in 24 hours. This was idrives suggestion and nothing was too hard to please me. I will never consider any other throttle controller from any other company. First class service. Thank you!!!

Beware - Unauthorised Charges & Auto Renew – Beware - this company is very fraudulent & extremely difficult to deal with to resolve anything. I signed up for a trial, found it far too slow & clunky to use & cancelled. Since that, I haven’t used it, logged in, stored anything or had any interaction with the account or business for over a year. Last week I received notification from my… Read more

credit card company that I was charged $79USD / $125AUD for a subscription.

When I queried it, they claimed they didn’t receive my cancellation & I was on an auto renewal subscription.

I had not agreed to any of this, they had no confirmation, I had no confirmation & the charges were not authorised.

When I requested a refund I was sent email after email of hoops to jump through - log in, do this, do that, send your card details, send your address, send the card again, send the expiry, etc etc etc.

They stall & make things as difficult as possible.

This is a very deceitful company with a poor product.

Beware - you will be signed up with no confirmation & put on auto renewal without any warning, information, confirmation or terms.

Ok at first but – Purchased the idrive and at first seemed good, but my Mazda BT50 began performing poorly. I thought my transmission had some sort of problem. Hunting around in slow traffic, accelerator suddenly seemed like something foreign. Heavy transmission clunks at high speed and the same at low and then all good for a few weeks. I have turned this thing off… Read more

and my car is performing as nature intended. Why did I think that millions spent on R&D by Mazda could be bettered by a $200 add on accessory made who knows where. Sorry IDrive, this may work for some but not me. The best thing I have done so far, is turn this thing off. As soon as I work out how I will remove it from my car altogether.

Relax, it's a Mazda – I have owned or driven Mazda 929, 626, 323, 121 and 2, I have found each car totally reliable and relatively inexpensive. When I purchased the 2, I had gone in to buy a 323 but saw the 2 on the floor and walked out with it. two of nthese car3, i have put reconditioned engines in at over 200K. My average km were 22.5K per year over 14+ years so I think this is a more than fair trial.

Great except if you have it on a MN Triton – It makes the Mitsubishi Triton with the 4D56 2.5 Diesel motor 10 times more responsive under acceleration & turns a slow vehicle into a fun machine. But in my opinion it also causes a hidden issue. It wears out the variable geometry control solenoid valve (or turbo boost solenoid)10 times faster. Why do I say this? Well now, I have gone through… Read more

three of these boost solenoids in the three years I have had the iDive fitted to my Triton. Before the iDrive I had no issues with the solenoid at all. In the Triton's case, from the factory it is a slow revving, slow accelerating motor with heaps of low down Turbo lag built in. But when you fit an iDrive it becomes a quick revving, quick accelerating motor with next to no low down lag.

What I think is happening is this; because the iDrive is speeding up the acceleration process, the Turbo boost process is also speeding up along with it and the OEM Boost controller which is now working many times faster than it was designed to operate is having great difficulty keeping up. Therefore it is wearing out very quickly. With the iDrive installed I regularly get Turbo over-boost spikes, usually during a gear change, and that happens even with a brand new boost control solenoid. But after a couple of months the over-boost issues quickly become worse and after about a year of constant city driving the boost solenoid packs it in. They are not cheap items either and even on ebay a Denso variable geometry control solenoid valve sells for over $300.00.

Think about it, there has to be a reason why Mitsubishi released the Triton with a motor that rev's and accelerates so slowly, if it was a problem they would have fixed it, but they never did. So, it is my belief that it was designed to operate like that for a purpose. And the iDrive is overriding that purpose.

What a huge difference – I just installed this throttle controller to my VF SV6. A bit tricky removing the factory plug so I removed the throttle pedal for easier access which is only one bolt and installation was much easier. I couldn't get over how much quicker the acceleration is. Throttle response is unbelievable.

Doesn't mirror local data – Great price point. Backup speed was OK. Customer support was good (via online chat). Not right for my needs however, because iDrive doesn't mirror your current local files, meaning any data restore is polluted with previously deleted local data. There is a partial workaround: manually clicking the Cleanup Now button periodically, but this only… Read more

For us non practical people don’t bother – Just unclip and put in the idrive. What an absolute crock of $&?t. For practical minded im sure it’s a 20second job. For those of us that read ‘just unclip the throttle cable’ that’s a big load of crap. I’ve gone back out to the car over 10 times to find ‘this clip’ and ‘try to work out how it unclips and it doesn’t. It’s a new car and this is my… Read more

second throttle controller over the years and the last one a few years back still took me hours to get done. Im fed up with brands like this claiming how easy it is. For many of us it isn’t so stop saying ‘just unclip’. Even the so called video shows the clip just being pulled off. Last time I listen to this type if rubbish. I’ll stick to leaving things as they are.

Makes an Amazing difference to a stock M-B.519 V6 Sprinter – Purchased from Repco Townsville, and easy self install with a call to Idrive Great support who walked me thru install. Having done the Big Lap in 2019 in a N.H.V. 5.5 ton M-B Sprinter 519 M/home on hills and long winding roads, and major cities traffic, it was Always sluggish and Many times I got red lights on exit, a Nightmare in Red light… Read more

camera areas, the foot Pressure I previously had to use on the accelerator was always Very tiring.

Only set on U 4 from Townsville the instant power for making traffic lights before red change gave me more confidence not to Snail drive in busy cities as i Always did Prior to my IDrive install.

On all the Hills all the way down to Rocky it held the gears longer, and downshifted earlier and it responded much better to my Light foot Pressure, once past Rocky (Qld) i changed to U 5 setting even More instant response and the hills, and curves made my M/home a Real Pleasure to drive, its a massive difference over the Factory M-B V6 519 sprinter. this product has been a great improvement for my M/Home with easy acceleration tractability and variable control settings.

The worst online storage/cloud/sync service I've used in two decades – My experience with these guys has been pretty awful. I paid for their service two months ago. Since then it's managed to upload approx 10,000 of my 90,000+ files. I've spent numerous hours reading their FAQ, watching videos, tweaking my computer parameters, etc and it's been massively frustrating and mostly a waste of time. They offer iDrive… Read more

Express service, where you load your data onto a hard drive, but the postage charge for this - if you're in Europe, as I am - is $40+ ONE WAY, so we're looking at 80 bucks postage alone, and, based on the rubbish service I've received so far, it didn't seem wise to throw more money away.

I've had innumerable conversations with customer service, at the conclusion of which they've assured me, "No, everything's fine now, it'll all sync no problem". I go to bed and when I check the next morning nothing's changed. When the sync eventually starts working, it operates at speeds so slow that it'll take about 6 more weeks, operating 24/7, for less than 400gb to upload.

Avoid this terrible service.

Service not so good, applications TE-RI-BLE! ABSOLUTELY SOOOO BAD! – Absolutely shockingly terrible software, specifically the windows and android ones, can't comment on mac. The windows service keeps stopping, tech support advised on how to deal with it, was assured it wouldn't happen again, and perhaps simply because I thought that was a really weird promise to make, it happens often despite going through their… Read more

troubleshooting. Also no preview of files (only file names, size and date) to download (restore) files. Since sync on Android was soooo bad, I ended up trying to download from the backup of my Android onto my computer. Would've been faster to email them to myself!!!

Android app doesn't allow syncing of whole media folders. So not really a valid sync in my opinion. You have to select each file, and the folder structure is not maintained. All files then get thrown in the one sync folder. Blaaa! Also, have to keep reselecting items to sync because it will randomly stop at some point. Not sure of the cause here. Troubleshooting with tech support didn't help. Backup option on Android does maintain folder structure, but trying to use this function to shift or share files is a TOTAL FAIL. If you share files with someone, they must download each one separately from the website link. (WHAT??! Right?) With the Windows app, you can download/restore multiple files (I used this when sync got stuck) but there is no thumbnail.

Tech support is via chat only from Australia, they sometimes email back but they don't like you to respond that way. You must go through chat again, no automatic transcript available but you can specifically request one each time. Response on the chat is quick, but response through the ticket system is slow. (Both end up on chat though.) Knowledge of initial contact staff is poor, so the problem often gets escalated to someone else, taking up your time, and sometimes it's not even an actual technical problem you had, rather that the software doesn't allow certain things and the staff don't know. Also keep in mind their server is in Oregon, so you might want to do a speed test to check your upload speed to there. Otherwise, price of the their "free" physical drive upload is only free in the US of course. It's US$43 + your cost to return the drive there, so I guess totalling A$100+. So factor that in.

Awesome – I don't review many products as they should perform as advertised, the only time I comment is when they don't perform as they should or when the exceed their claims, in the case absolutely brilliant transformed my 2007 nissan d40

Best investment you can make to improve lagging throttle response – You buy a brand new 4wd Ute and you expect it to be able to slow down into a round-about and then accelerate safely into that round-about, right? No such luck with my new MR Triton. The accelerator lag would see me roll into the path of oncoming traffic while waiting for some response from the engine. A very unnerving experience. Fitting the… Read more

iDrive throttle controller and operating it on its lowest setting (U1), that lag has almost completely gone.

I can now merge into a round about or take off at a T-intersection with confidence.

But the advantages of fitting the iDrive do not end there ... switching to E mode makes for a much better (gentler) throttle response when on rocky terrain off road. When towing a camper and bouncing around in the cabin, it makes a huge difference to soften the accelerator response in this way.

Staff were hugely helpful at the time of sale and I discovered today that you can buy new fascia labels to make the iDrive blend in with the dash instead of the curious choice of ugly default white.

My only criticism of the product is the adhesive. During hotter months in Sydney, I have to re-affix the iDrive to my dash every day. It would be great to see a better mounting option.

From Drag to grandpa mode – I purchased the idrive around Christmas 2019 for my 2008 Nissan 350z. As the title "Drag to grandpa modes" I get fantastic throttle response. full control, it's great. As far as install it took a bit longer than 5 minutes to install. 350z's are very testing to work on. Locating the idrive position was OK the sticky on the idrive is really good, hasn't come off as yet. Overall it's a great little unit. On a personal note I think it a bit expensive, although retail price is $299, I paid $250 from my local auto shop on special.

iDRIVE Completely eliminated acceleration lag – Recently purchased a new Ford Ranger, after putting bigger tyres on it I noticed the factory acceleration lag got worse. Saw these advertised online and picked one up. Took me around 3 minutes to install and I am very happy with the results. The Ranger drives like a completely different truck.
