AS100 Cheap build and mechanically flawed, its total rubbish,, After purchase I found the manual paper shoot does not have an optical sensor to detect paper. It has old technology microswitch assembly that causes “serious friction and obstruction” in the paper shoot that requires quite often on single sheets to use both hands either side of paper and push down, a very very bad design, One cannot just reach over and drop in a sheet! and move on with work. On other brands i have owned with optical sensor there is no friction on insertion its just like posting a letter. First day after delivery 24 April 2025 I emailed the online supplier in Queensland I complained but days later they have not replied Summary- Expensive item,, total waste of money, and would never recommend this Brand and model or the Qld online supplier.
Purchased in for $369.
Since posting this review the online company as made contact and is willing to change the unit for another higher price model that has optical sensors and take the AS100 back, and I pay difference I am thankfull, have agreed to this.
Pleasantly surprised – After some research it was between this unit and another well known brand with similar specs, bought this unit to fit specific space. Positives - Continuous use without stopping to cool down. Load self feeder works very well. Very few "jams" mainly from stapled sheets placed upside down, handles staples well. Good size bin handles the approximate 100 sheets feed. Negatives - On/off switch can be improved a little feels "flimsy". Does not like staples on bottom of sheets.
