False Advertising – waiting Public published review 12/2/24 Hello guys , I’m writing about Izusu in Santiago , Panama , I had walking into the dealership about to weeks ago and I was inquired about 2 or 3 vehicles and I was given the price for vehicles as described , 2025 Dmax 4 Door fully loaded sold at 43k , Also I was giving the price on 2024 Dmax fully loaded at… Read more

39k , both prices were out the door prices and both trucks had came with differential lock , so I approached the dealership via phone 2 days later and the guys submitted the details needed to the bank for an approval , maybe an hour later the sales guy called and said that the prices on the 2024 was incorrect and that 41k was the new price and that the deal was approved and gave me the payments options and rate’s I was offered .. so I declined this changed of price and will not give this people as car sales persons a good review at all , this is called deceptive practice and should not be tolerated ..

Awful transmission – The semi-auto gearbox in these is absolutely woeful. There’s a whole fleet of trucks at my job - Hino 300s, Hyundai Mighty’s - and none of them run into the same level of issues the Isuzu’s do. I’ve even told my boss I won’t drive them as I’m constantly fed up with the gearbox getting confused, losing power and taking forever to take off. I mean… Read more

it takes a good 5 seconds to finally get moving after having your foot flat. No problems with Hino and Hyundai trucks. Quick, responsive and plenty of power, as it should be.

If you’re gonna buy one, take it for a test drive or at the very least get a manual.

Navigation is a joke – Isuzu FRR 110/260 the multi media unit is a stuck on afterthought. And Isuzu has made the imperious decision to add Android Auto that you can't actually use, because they've disabled the use of Google Maps. I decided then to connect the vehicle to Wi-Fi which it connected and said it was connected and download Isuzu's own maps but it just sits… Read more

there and says no it is not connected to Wi-Fi even though on the connection screen it says it is. So I have gone from a five-year-old Isuzu where I could use Google Maps on my phone to navigate to not being able to use Google Maps or Isuzu navigation or anything to navigate. I have to disconnect my phone from the system to be able to use navigation on my phone. Yet if I had an Apple phone I could use navigation on Apple carplay. Pretty ridiculous.

Gutless, Horrid, – Been driving tricks for 15+ years now, this is the most gutless truck I've ever driven. The automatic gear changes are absolutely atrocious

Pile of junk – NPR 300 4x4 bought new in about 2015 by the company I work for, this truck see's quite a lot of crappy dirt roads 1. seats suck the suspension seat is a joke 2. Been through 3 rear diffs 3. Starter motor failed around 200,000 klm 4. Rear shock mount snapped off of the diff 5. Cracked chassis 6. Instruments died 7. Cab is cracked where it pivots… Read more

and has to be replaced 8. Tray mounts cracked 9. Front sway bar mounts broke off of the chassis destroying the wiring loom 10. A/C and heater failures 11. Steering arm snapped which came close to causing a head on 12. Turbo not boosting mechanic says it's due to a faulty injector (, personally I question this diagnosis) so time for new injectors Seriously this "truck" is a pile of junk. Company owner said it has cost the company 50% of the purchase price in repairs, yes repairs not including routine maintenance and that was prior to fitment of super singles (37" x 13.5") to try and help it survive the dirt roads, mirrors always breaking, horrific leak on both doors seals and anything above 70kph which drives you nuts. I'm sure there's other issues that I don't recall right now but for comparison the 300 class 2wd Hino before that was better in every way it road better in all conditions, things didn't break all the time and it's 4 litre engine vs the Isuzu's 5.2 litre engine had more torque and more power and was happy to cruise at 120kph on top of that the Isuzu manages 3.9klm per litre vs nearly 6 of the Hino which btw was 12+ yrs old. If you're considering a light truck in this class do yourself a favour and spend the extra money it costs to buy a Hino which hands down is a lot better truck the Isuzu is junk and 1 to avoid

Thought it would have been better than this! – 2012 NLR - BAD - Driving down the road and on comes DPD, what a waste of time. Turn off exhaust brake - turn off A/C or sit for 20 minutes - if in manual mode. Have had comments how truck blows smoke when changing gears and have to explain every single time, it is pollution control. Yeah sure! Too bad if your customers are waiting. Go over bumps… Read more

and hit the roof, my back kills every time this hunk of junk does this. Bounces me out of the seat, losing control of pedals. People following must think I'm drunk! Been looking at some way of fitting air bag suspension but I shouldn't have to. Front end bounces so much, you would think the shockies have had it. It is so bad, I try to avoid roads I know are going to bounce my back to the chiropractor. Front tyres worn on one side. Stereo is extremely cheap, even though it's a truck, we are in the 2000's. Even cheap stereos sound better than this. Wind rattles doors. Mirrors are so huge they create a massive blind spot. Just about get T-boned at roundabouts. Doors are so big, it is almost impossible to enter the truck while in a car park, for fear of the door hitting the next car, since it will swing open all the way, which means holding onto it, while trying to get in. Seat belt retractors are useless. Uses a lot of fuel, although I have a big wind resistant box on the back.

If the bouncing was fixed, I think it could be a reasonable truck. DPD is ridiculous.

The Worst Vehicle I Have Ever Driven – The semi auto box is without doubt the worst I've come across. The suspension is so very bad, I would say dangerous. If you go over a series of even shallow uneven parts of the road, the truck continues to get worse and worse to handle to a point of holding on for dear life until you can slow it enough to regain control. The batteries and… Read more

alternator have been replaced after just 12 months of use. If you are a tall person, The cab is so small I can't count how many time I've injured myself getting in and out. The main concern is my lower back. I have never had back pain until I started using this horrible vehicle. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED -10 stars

Doing what I purchased it for – I purchased a new NLS AWD Trayback in December 2020 to carry a Full Height Slide on Camper whilst at times also towing a 3.2 ton trailable yacht. I also purchased the extended warranty of 5 year or 250,000klms based on the fact it would be used as a base vehicle for travelling around Australia for 3-5 years. There were no other vehicles at this… Read more

price point ( well under $60,000 ) capable of doing the above combined functions and also having an adequate Gross Combined Mass. The GCM is 8000kgs. The ride is harsh without a load on board but adequate when loaded. The AWD system provides very good all road surface ability along with grass, boat ramps and the like. I would not rate it as an off road warrior but it is very capable on marginal traction surfaces. Cabin ergonomics are trucklike not carlike whilst some modern functions are catered for such as a quality nav and bluetooth capable big screen entertainment system, cruise control, ABS, hillholder, airbags and exhaust braking. The truck being able to be driven on a car license is an advantage for my partner. Having driven in RWD mode only I feel the dash selectable AWD system is a huge safety advantage and worth every extra cent.

Never buy a Isuzu truck!!!!! – If I could give it less then 0 stars I would! Biggest heap of s*#t you could possibly buy! The Amt gear box is a joke! The tuck basically stops on you before it changes down gears! Changes gear too early and has no power! The truck lags everywhere u drive it! I would roll this thing off a cliff to get my money back! Never buy a isuzu truck! Absolute waste of money! 0 stars out of 10,000!!! Show details

Great Truck Best In Class But Unreliable! – I have purchased 2 x new N series from Isuzu, used around local metro area. Isuzu Drives very good, the cabin, layout, mirrors, comfort, cabin noise, space and engine power and DPF are best in class, however you cannot rely on them! 2017 NLS 45/150 AWD (no one else can offer this truck so I will buy another one) 6000kms - 4 x New Injectors… Read more

12,000kms - Head DAVE Unit Failed 36,000kms - Locking Hub Broken Window Switches Replaced Front axle not engaging when put in AWD (Isuzu cant fix been back multiple times no one knows how it works) Engine oil in intercooler piping. 2020 plated NQR 190 ISUZU – Have a new crew cab NQR with 128km on the clock, both front driver and passenger doors flex at the top near the windscreen that much you can see daylight from in the cab driving along. Worst mistake ever made – Truck is a 2019 NPR 165/190 that cost $86000. Wife won't even travel in it. If you hit a small bump you are bounced around like a rag doll. If you hit a middle size bump you get shot into the air until your seat belt bites into your shoulder and then throws you back down so hard it jars your lower back. And look out if you blink and hit a big… Read more

pothole.....you and the truck get airborn. It is very, very dangerous. Especially when you are towing a trailer. Isuzu have known about this fault for years and really dont care ! I will NEVER buy another Isuzu and would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

ISUZU FRR 110 – Bought this from Brisbane ISUZU in 2017. Warranty ended 16/05/19 and truck injector, defuser and catalyst needed to replaced on 20/06/19. Dealer quoted $6k, and no assistance from ISUZU. These are like Chinese toys and made only to last till the warranty expires. Truck done only 35k Show details

Lemon – Very disappointed. Motor blew at 75,000 miles. The exhaust system has been replaced. Paid $60,000 for the truck five years ago and I have put another 20,000 in repairs. Do not buy this piece of junk. No power.

Old trucks are better – I've an American truck with 834,000ks on it doesn't miss a beat. I've also an Isuzu tipper new with 36,000ks and I'm waiting for yet another lift home after bringing it in for a minor problem. I wont buy new again. Old trucks are better, crazy but true.

Never buy an Isuzu NPR, the worst money ever spent – We have 9 of the Isuzu NPR's in our fleet 2011-2018 models. They are the worst ever. Never buy one, even if they are half price. Constantly in the shop for repairs. The DEF system constantly needs repairing. The down time on these trucks is unacceptable.

The worst truck money can buy – I owned a 2008 W4500 Isuzu truck, I can't tell you how problematic this truck was, please if you need a work truck not a truck that creates jobs for GMC and Isuzu technicians don't buy it. I won't even look at one when I drive pass one now. Regen problem, ABS, all kind of little and big problem, I can show you invoices after invoices, Isuzu trucks are the worst have made.

Disappointed – Company I work for supplied me a 2015 450 medium 185, I should have test drove before as my previous truck was a Hino FD (2005). The 450 is terrible in all categories, rock hard suspension (3/4 of gross load), wind noise through door seals (dealer has had two attempts at fixing), handling, only has to look at a slight incline/hill at hwy speeds… Read more

and dies, (so the B double that you just over took returns the favor), cheap poorly fitting plastics everywhere and driver seating position not good for long distances. The Hino was 10 years older and still was way ahead of this junk.

Do yourself a favour and avoid like the plague.

My first ever truck, not what I expected – Bought my isuzu 400 dec 18th 2014 from day one my steering was off and steering wheel off centre reported first service 5000k, all they did was take steering wheel off and re centered. This went on every service for over 12 months, Truck started driving roughly, took too tyres and more in ferntreegully the front tyres had distorted on the inner… Read more

edge , they said your front end is way out would need 2 new tyres and front end alignment, took to Amberly wheel alignment in dandenong after a cost of $350.00 they said the camber was WAY OUT, then back to tyres and more 2 new tyres at a cost off $540.00, So after talking to guys in ace car freighters fleet with isuzu’s they tell me I should have had front end alignment at pd or 5k service which wasn’t done .So why wasn’t I advised on this ??LOSS OF EARNINGS $600- $700

Then after 2 weeks off, went to start truck batteries dead , took to battery world, batteries not holding charge 2 new batteries $250.00.

Since about November 2015 around 75,000 km warning lights appeared on dash ABS ,ASR, BRAKE WARNING LIGHT . first taken to service they said more investigation needed, next two services reported, nothing done , now the 7/10/2016 had to take another day off work 4th time they THINK it’s a leaking rear seal, but turned up for the time I was asked to , had no record off me coming in. LOSS OF EARNINGS $600- $700

(could this problem result in brake failure While driving ? ) would think serious enough to fix urgently? Have not been advised either way .

If it were a horse, I'd shoot it – AMT gearbox is a joke. It gets confused and gets the wrong gear at the wrong time when in full auto mode. Cab is poorly constructed with the doors flapping around like a leaf in a breeze making terrible buffering wind noise at anything over 80kph. It has a totally pointless fluoro beam light in cab but no drink holders. The whole thing is… Read more

an ergonomics nightmare with essential controls like heating and radio so far away, I need to take my eyes of the road and lean to reach them.

I realise that a truck is very different to a passenger car, hence I will not comment on how it drives (like a truck) but Isuzu seriously need to look at how far cars have advanced and bring some of these learnings across to make the cab a safer, more user friendly place with quality befitting of the developed world.

Master cylinder leaking again.

Oil pressure sensor replaced again.

Ongoing issue that isuzu don't know how to fix.

Air hose comes off turbo and I have to fasten it back on every few days.

And today the engine warning light and the amt light came on but have now gone off.

The dealer has been good getting the issues sorted but the truck has spent many days off the road and is costing me $$$.

My old hino dutro didn't have this many issues in 300k.

Lots of issues in new NLR model, terrible warranty terms, never buy Isuzu – I brought brand new truck for more than $45000 in September 2013. Warranty 100000 KM/3 years. Still it is under 60000 KM & under 3 years but refused to fix problem of fuel injectors & DPD. First dealer charged $770 just to clean the filter than same problem with in 5 days. Lost 14 days income and had to go private repairer & paid $2000 to fix the… Read more

DPD problem. This is my third brand new Isuzu Truck. I had minor problems in previous models but the this last one is the worst. How fuel injectors gone bad in 60000 km? Very expensive to fix anything. DPD is a big headache waste of lots of time and diesel when the system ask you to do manual regeneration. Will never buy ISUZU truck.

2010 Isuzu NPR HD – I am impressed with how little it costs to service my NPR compared to the international that I traded. It was a great truck for me, but so is the Isuzu and it gets better MPG! I love it and it has over 200,000 miles and is still going strong! MPG, low cost to maintain in comparison to my other truck I didn't get it sooner

Terrible – I wouldn't buy another Isuzu product if they were giving them away free. they are dangerous, rust buckets that ride like cement blocks going down the road Nice little jump seat...better that just two seats in the cab Everything....Mine is a 2000 NPR and it is the biggest piece of junk that has ever been produced bar none. enemy drive this excuse for a truck. The gas engine has no rev limit, and the trans will just let the truck rev until you blow the motor!! The washer fluid holds like enough fluid for two days. Everything rusts, the radiator doesn't last, the Truck rides like there is no suspension. I don't have enough time to describe how this truck shouldn't have been allowed on the road! The brake booster doesn't work well and when it doesn't want to work you lose your steering and brakes. Junk, real junk....

Bad – If you ever buy a new isuzu make sure you BUY the extra warranty unlike me now i have to pay $ 9000 - $ 10000 to buy an exchange unit and have it installed FFS (2004 nqr 450 170hp) Good top end speed, comfortable to drive, good turning circle 5 yr old truck 195000 klms and injector pump's camshaft has lost its hard facing which fragments of metal… Read more

went through the pump. $ 7000 - $8000 to get a reconditioned exchange 2nd hand pump or $10000 - $11000 for a new one. Ridiculous how a pump is worth 1/5 of the price of a new nqr 450 cab chasis ($55000). NOT happy Isuzu as this truck is serviced within the service intervals stated in book. Hino is looking good.
