iTechworld iTECH120 Non Waterproof 12 Volt Lithium Battery

A word of caution – Itech lithium batteries & associated products are very good but a word of caution the 120x battery is only105amps. The 120x pro is 120amps, the former should be called 105x, a trap for the uninitiated!

ItechWorld 120x unreliability – Purchased the complete 12v installation kit and the battery let me down on it's first trip. Battery goes into safe mode and shuts down randomly. Have informed Itech but yet to receive a response. - Update. ITech world has tested the battery and said that it's fine but it still shuts down randomly leaving me out of pocket with an unreliable battery. I would advise anyone to steer clear if you want reliability. Show details

to blame the installation or the other components but it’s all quality, they also advertise the battery as a 120ah but the true capacity is 105ah.

I sent them back the battery, and they have said there’s nothing wrong with it - why would anyone send back a perfectly fine battery?

They have refused any repairs as a result, and will not refund me my money.

As a working class Aussie, I hate seeing companies rip other working class Aussies off - I would strongly suggest you look at other companies.

I bought an Enerdrive 100ah lithium battery and have had nothing but good experiences and smooth sailing as a result, and I have changed NOTHING in my 12 volt set up - so the iTechWorld junk battery has to have been the culprit.

Poor man pays twice.

Not 120 ah – I bought my itechworld 120 ah battery 2 yrs ago i finally did a discharge test on it The battery went flat at a discharge of 85 ah i rang and they told me the bms shuts off around 10% of capacity which should be around 110 ah usable but mine was not .i recharged it and it charged up to 94 ah which means it is probably only 105 ah if 10 % is… Read more

Fantastic service – Purchased one of these batteries August 2021. Was delivered to Gin Gin in Qld. 4 days after phone call . The battery was so good we have just recently purchased 2 more for our Caravan. Picked them up from their store in Perth and received a great discount. Had I have bought a cheaper battery from an overseas competitor I very much doubt I would have been able to organize a replacement with enough time. There is never a 100% guarantee you won't buy a dud with any company. For me, this further highlights the importance of buying from a reputable Australian company that can amend any faults quickly and in plain English. Will buy from them again for sure. 4 stars cause I bought a dud. But 5 stars for customer service and professional prompt response. Ps. I never do reviews, I thought this experience warranted one.

120x Itech battery’s are at most only 105ah usable – I contacted Itechand asked the usable Ah on the 120xand there reply was105 usable the I asked usable on the 100ah and the200ah and there reply was 100%.I have already purchased 2 120x thinking they would have been 100% usable also.Feeling we’re ripped off. Show details

Shonky marketing and claims false advertising – Purchased 4 itech120x CLAIMED 120ah batteries. Turns out they are actually 105ah to 10v which is flat for lithium "dead flat" so not a 120ah battery like advertised. 60ah cranking batteries and tested 26ah and sent it back plus i will also note the battery came with stickers on it with specs that didn't even match the website or even the booklet that came witrh it so i had 3 different claimed specs and thier excuse was the factory just mixed up stickers funny thing is even the itech120x came stickered as itech120 and that was the excuse i got with that battery. Recently asked them about a power cord about the wire size used and they claimed it was 2.5mm wire size and not being able to find another split cable with that size wire I reluctantly purchased from them after double confirming it was 2.5mm wire size. I get my cable and its 1.5mm wire "gee big surprise". These guys are shonky. They also claimed their battery has a regulator inside that allows the battery to charge from any agm charger which also a lie as nothing of the sorts has been found inside any of their batteries i have opened not that such a thing can actually be done anyway. There is no special bms inside these things just a generic bms. These guys just re brand cheap gear they don't know anything about batteries just how to market dodgy.

You get what you pay for – Cheap battery that doesn't go the distance I can't remember the amount of times it's gone into safe mode with a draw of 25 Amps it only lasted 20 minutes and voltage drops from 13 to 10 volts in that amount of time and if you call or email they don't respond and when they do they blame it on every other bit of equipment I run and it's all redarc… Read more

then cut out at night, fridge went off - had to throw food out Called again and told to jump start off car then straight to solar blanket (it’s been 35 degrees full sun all day) ok during day dead again at night . Drove over 2 hours to buy a new solar panel charges during day dead overnight - this has been going on for two weeks now I can only run my 40l fridge during day. Im currently sitting at a park using a battery charger on mains power and it’s still sitting at 12.9 I know it’s going off again tonight I’m ready to throw the bloody useless thing in the river. Not impressed – Replaced 120ah agm in my cruiser. No noticeable difference in performance. Using correct lithium charger, checked for voltage leaks from other appliances-nil. Reported to ITech “service” treated like an idiot. Show details

Batteries not waterproof - Really!! – Think twice before purchasing a product from iTechworld. recovery it and had to post it back to Perth. It took approximately 4 weeks to find out according to them, that the battery was water damaged. The battery had only been on the chassis of my caravan for approximately one month and never been submerged under water. I can’t even recall if it rained during that period and therefore would only have got the spray from the tyres. They advises twice that the Manager would ph me, but that didn’t happen and I received an email from him to say that it was not covered under warranty. Not happy, they did not stand behind their product. Maybe from the comments below iTechworld need to seriously lift their game and make it very clear with a warning to their customers when the battery is delivered that their batteries are not waterproof or better still advise people over the phone prior to purchase.

Dodgy battery and even dodgier customer service – I purchased an Itech 120x, trialled it in the 4x4 for a couple days just to see how it went. battery only held 100ah not 120. I messaged Itech on their FB page and they saw the message but didnt respond. So I commented on a post on their page and they blocked me from commenting on any posts and from being able to message them. Not liking my chances with warranty with that sort of customer service.

should be in a dry enclosure. I am now informed that it cannot be repaired, but that has a hollow ring to it. The cells should be fine, and a new BMS board shouldn't be hard to fit, but of course the battery was away in Perth, and I was on the Gold Coast. Irreparable at 2yrs.

Shop around the price is not the price – It pays to shop around the price is not the price. I bought direct only to be quoted a lower price by another sales rep and then found out I could buy even cheaper from a reseller. gave me a good price much better than advertised. So tired to contact him again but when I called he was in the phone and another guy I spoke to sold me the battery I asked for the best price and he said I had got it. Only to receive and email later from [Name Removed] for $100 less. I asked if he would honour the price basically it was a no. Then I researched online and found the battery from a reseller for $50 less than the lower price quoted. Trusting the relationship as a previous customer I thought I was getting the best deal. I paid $150 extra for going direct.

blokes larp on about similar products...on youtube and still no resolution but phone calls messages and hours of waiting....the battery monitor didnt come with two essential cables and 'no' they dont have them for sale', one has to go to jaycar, buy a soldering iron, crimp the ends- like as if all their customers are electrical engineers-(they fail to tell you this as well) .... If i wanted drop ship I couldve gone on ebay and paid half for the same specs. The appliance they told me would last 6 hours on full battery charge had cut out, the solar charge controller has now died and now no power through to the inverter- even unlugged only connected from the battery -big $ now to pay an auto electrical to sort it out. If youre a woman, with no electronics clue and dont have time for a degree in it, dont bother- ill buy close to home next time and have a person isntall and explain it- (an A4 page would have sufficed!) with my order- hestitant to out another 1k down on a second battery now (I was going to)

CPAP machine, can be hooked up to my portable solar panels, power my portable hot water system. Great for free camping for about 5 days but with solar it’s unlimited. An all round performer. The team at Itech World are local so very happy to support their technology.

Very poor customer service – Brought a battery but had to return as wrong type being order. Postage costs was $40 but when request for return they charged me $70. get asked way to many questions after troubleshooting for a $349 charger that doesn’t work. don’t shop here . Buy elsewhere where you may have a chance of you’re faulty products being replaced or refunded in less than 3weeks of continuous calls and being ignored .

Australian Product – Not sure if these batteries are made here but they are an Australian company and the quality is excellent not like the Chinese rubbish on eBay. I am happy to fork out a few extra dollars to support local business and the staff are next level
