Joseph Joseph Turner Tongs

Pretty but useless – I needed silicon tongs to use with my non-stick cookware, and these Joseph Joseph tongs seemed to fit the bill. One piece design, comfortable to hold and with angled, flat grippers that double as flippers. A handy lock mechanism in the arms would also secure the arms flat and easy to store. B-U-T when it came to using them. Alas! They could not deal with any but the lightest items of food. The arms were not strong enough and kept twisting, the grippers did not grip properly and food kept slipping. About the only thing you could do was to slip one side of the gripper below a piece of (light weight!) food, grip and flip.
