KARCHER S6 TWIN PUSH SWEEPER – I bought this tool in the belief that it will magically sweep my tennis court with a large turpentine & jacaranda tree hanging over it. Thus, my review is solely based on my experience on a synthetic tennis court. First of all, we must understand the principle of how this tool work, as it plays a crucial role of how effective it is to fulfill its intended function. From the 1st picture, which I didn't have a chance to see it, it reveals the two circular brushes at front to catch any leaves and debris and it's adjustable to best suit the surface types. Then, when the rubbishes get swept in, they went through the belly of the waste container (yellow box), and then get "rolled" up by the brushes at rear into this storage box. This all sounds pretty straightforward and environmental friendly with no power required, but in my view, there lies some fundamental design flaws.

Firstly, the catching element is at the rear, so when it comes to a corner, it cannot collect the rubbishes under the belly, as they do not reach the end. Secondly, the bigger elements like larger leaves & sticks will simply get caught under the belly without being able to move to the back for collection. Thirdly, the roller brush at rear cannot roll up longer sticks or larger leaves. Fourthly, the rubbish don't simply fall into the end of the container, so there is space for incoming ones. I paid a premium on this larger model for bigger capacity but it can only store half of this before the debris start falling out. Fifthly, there are always some rubbishes left at the bottom of the roller once it is stopped.

I had tried to see how effective this could sweep through my tennis court, but found it is even less useful than my old broom and leaf rack. It is because I had to keep going around to collect the rubbishes that kept falling off or not swept up, with my broom. I was so frustrated to the extent that I purchased a motorised one from Ryobi (less than half of the price of this one), to replace with this cumbersome tool with unappreciated design flaws.

I would strongly advise to steer away from this product if one is ever deceived like me by the promotional video on its website, and tries to use it on a tennis court with plenty of tree leaves and sticks to clean up.
