2014 yd manual si sedan

Bought Feb 2014 and travelled 109000 km with no problems. Has a GDI motor so has a CRC GDI treatment every year as well as having a catch can fitted. The treatment seems to work very well.
Serviced at dealer yearly but also has a 6 monthly oil and filter change running full synthetic.
Travels return to Canberra yearly and runs like clockwork. Averages approx 7.4 litres per 100km around town and 5.6 to 6.2 litres per 100km on a run.
Comfortable reliable and good handling car with a deceptively large boot( with fold down rear seats) decent performance and reasonable fuel economy.
Would recommend to others. Show details

Best car I have ever owned

My Cerato is the Bee's Knees. Sporty, cheap to run, goes like a train, easy to keep maintained and a pleasure to drive. I've owned plenty of cars in my time and I can honestly say that my Cerato would be the pick of ALL of them. Show details

Goes well and good on fuel

Reliable little car thats good on fuel yet still zippy. Highway driving will get you about 5.5L/100km and on average in the city it sits around 7-9L/100km very comfortable and can be fun to drive. the internals are nice and modern. slightly cheap build quality but you would expect that from a cheaper car. Show details

Best little car on the road

Decided to trade our Suzuki Swift on a Cerato that had done a little over 30,000 K's. The Cerato is only used to run around the city. Perfect car! Fantastic on fuel and very comfortable. Servicing costs very reasonable and great service from Motorama Kia (Brisbane) to top things off. For what its designed to do it is unbeatable. After this experience we will now stick with Kia for our city runabout. Although still cannot figure out the quarter front windows??? Not a criticism though! Show details

Great little car that is fuel efficient and has all the bells and whistles I’d want

Apart from buying it second new and later finding it smelling of smoke, the cerato has been great in terms of fuel efficiency and reliability. Also looks great. Kids call it the ‘shark car’ because it’s the same colour as a dark blue shark : ) Show details

2017 Cerato Sport Hatchback

Use the car everyday- Brisbane traffic and Westfield car parks. Amazing mileage value, So much room! My pram and baby seat fits comfortably with room to spare for luggage on our family trips 500km south. Apple car play is next level! Effortless driving and a pleasure to be in- even my husband enjoys driving it around. Show details

Reliable, comfortable bargain

Bought a 3.5 year old auto in mid 2018 for $10,800. It still had 3.5 years of warranty. It's been perfect: drives well, adequate power, no mechanical issues. Fuel efficiency good not excellent. Really good value for money. We have the hatch and the ability to fold down 1, 2 or 3 seats is great for transporting stuff. This car is small but spacious, with leg room more than adequate for rear occupants. Show details

Your audio units in Kia's are not the best they fail very quickly and not a reliable unit. When we need to upgrade the unit from a 2014 to a 2017 their harness on the rear is different . The harness on the 2017, bye the way has not got a cd/dvd player but needs a different harness.
We need to purchase this harness so we can use the 2017 unit to the 2014 car.
Both cars models are YD....
Waiting for your reply and hopefully we get a decent answer from a representative of Kia who cares.james

My 2015 Kia Cerato has just kicked over 10000klms. Went over a pot hole in the rain yesterday ( Didn't see it till it was to late). After parking it in my drive way all the engine oil dropped out of it. Has anyone else had this, was it expensive to repair or is it a fault?

Sorry my Cerato was a 2017 and I never had a problem like that while I owned it.

I would say that you have somehow damaged the engine oil sump.
Don't try to start the car and have it towed to a service centre for inspection and possible repair.
