I bought this watch GL30 for my primary school aged daughter. Now that she is becoming more independent, I wanted it for emergencies and to be able to track and contact her without giving her internet access. I also like that I can restrict who can contact her. She was very excited by the watch and particularly liked the step and heart monitor. I would recommend this watch for children who are too young for a mobile phone.
I have been extremely happy with the watch. I have GL30 for both my kids and they are so handy. We had a charging issue with one watch but the costumer service was fantastic and the issue was resolved quickly. I would highly recommend Show details
Wouldn’t recommend! - Feeling very frustrated. We were initially sent a SIM card that wasn’t working and then had to wait two weeks for another to be posted, now I’m being told that I have to pay more for the initial sim details to be transferred to the new one.. customer service have not responded to an email sent at 14.38 leaving my son without the watch for another weekend! Thank you, we bought this watch as a safe first phone option for our daughter at Christmas and couldn’t be happier. It arrived VERY quickly. She loves the independence and immediately found it easy to use and comfortable to wear. The setup of SIM did take around 24 hours as there was a Christmas backlog, but all round an easy process. son yo charge each night. Binding watch isn't hard but needed to get an unlock code as we used a different service provider for the nano SIM card. Support so far has been responsive and good. Recommended compared to other main brands which are almost double the cost and bonus there is no monthly app fee. App is easy to use too.

stopped worked properly and started heating up the watch when on charge. It was at that point I decided to cut our losses with a month still left on the phone plan and look into other options. After some research I chose Kids O’clock - he ease and simplicity of the purchase, sign up, watch set up has been great compared to Spacetalk.
The Kids O’clock watch itself does everything you need, and I would actually say the interface is better and clearer to navigate than Spacetalk. The battery also lasts two days (compared to one day with Spacetalk), which is great for sleepovers, I don’t have to pack the charger now.
I haven’t had to use Kids O’Clock customer service (because the watch has just worked), so I can’t talk to that, however the reviews I found on Kids O’Clock when considering the purchase highlighted positive customer service experiences, which further influenced my purchase.
I purchased the GL30 for my child based on its high ratings. Initially, the Phone Call feature didn't work for some reason, even though the watch showed "Latest" when I checked for updates. Additionally, when checking the GPS, sometimes it shows a location about 1 km away from my child’s school, where the watch should be. I confirmed with my child, and they haven't left the school. So far, the incorrect location seems to only happen when they are at school, which makes the cause a bit of a mystery.
As for the other features, the touchscreen is a bit slower to respond compared to more expensive models like the Apple Watch, but for a first-time kids' smartwatch and considering the price range, I think it's fine and understandable. The inaccurate GPS is a little bit of concern.
The watch also has video calls and voice chat, only available through the app. When there’s a missed call from the app, you do receive a notification, but if you miss it, there's no way to tell where the missed call originated from in the app, so I hope this feature is clarified or updated in the future.
The video call quality is good, and the video comes through enough quality, but for some reason, the audio doesn’t work.
Overall, while it's not a bad product, the features I expected to work perfectly are not fully functional, and the lack of support response after days is a little disappointing.
#Mar 2026 Update: After less than two months of use, the touch monitor stopped responding. I contacted support through their website and sent it back, and it was repaired free of charge, which is a positive. However, they didn’t explain what was wrong or what they repaired—it was simply returned, which is slightly negative. The repair period was short, so I could resume use quickly.
Using voice messages or photos fills the storage very quickly, preventing you from sending messages. The storage is smaller than expected, so this smartwatch feels like it’s mainly for basic functions like GPS tracking and emergency contact.
The GPS tracking has improved, it no longer shows wildly inaccurate locations. I see this as an introductory device for young children, suitable until they grow enough to switch to something like an Apple Watch SE.

For us, as parents, it's incredibly reassuring to be able to touch base with him if he's on a playdate or if we need to change plans after school for pick up. Additionally, we have thoroughly enjoyed receiving sweet messages from him throughout the day telling us he loves us, and it's been great to send him quick messages of love as well.
The security features are top-notch, especially the ability to check his location and the fact that it blocks fraudulent numbers from calling him unsolicited. It gives us peace of mind knowing that he is safe. We also love being able to disengage the extra features during school hours.
Your Customer Service team has also been amazing and very helpful when we had trouble connecting international family members to our son's watch.
Overall, we are so happy with the entire experience and cannot wait to buy another watch for our daughter when she turns 9!

the tracking indicated the watch was several kilomettres awa from its actual location. These aren't one-off glitches; they are persistent technical issues that make the device unreliable and unfit for the purpose for which it is advertised. Customer support have been useless in addressing these issues.

yet it was entirely unusable for this purpose. The location tracker was unreliable, scared us half to death a few times as it said she was in obscure locations. Once we ruled out these capabilities, the watch became a toy at home until the flimsy battery connection point gave out and it became unchargeable, of course- just after the 12 month warranty expired. We regret wasting our money on this one.

We purchased 2x GL30 watches and they are great. After a bit of minor difficulty activating the sim cards, once they were up and running, the kids loved it. Very easy for them to make calls and send messages and for us to be a bit more reassured to let them be more independent. Overall, highly recommended.
