The watch is frequently praised for its clear call quality, user-friendly interface, and reliable parental controls such as "School Mode." While the overall sentiment is strongly positive, there are significant recurring concerns regarding water resistance and the strictness of warranty support.

The KidsOClock GL50 is an excellent entry-level smartwatch for parents seeking a secure way to stay connected with children aged 7–12 without social media risks. While it excels in communication and software control, parents should be cautious regarding its durability around water and be prepared for a daily charging schedule.
My son absolutely loves his KidsOClock watch. He can go on a bike ride or go exploring and I have complete confidence he’s safe and will call if need be. It’s a game changer. Show details
My son got the GL50 for Christmas 2024,but lasted just 1year and 6 months. It got water damaged from rain even though it's a water-resistant watch. This is our second kidsoclock watch that has been broken. This one it's not replaced by guarantee. Otherwise it's a good watch while it lasted, suits it's purpose, but I'm not buying anymore from this brand.
I purchased the KidsClock on the recommendation of a family member. The web site was easy to follow in terms of which model and the features that were available The KidsClock is smart in order to keep kids safe, but also ensuring they can only access "particular" features The tracking via Australia Post was very efficient Once the KidsClock… Read more
arrived, I found the process of setting up the SIM card very easy, and of course, choosing the correct data plan

My daughter absolutely loves the watch and says its lightweight and comfortable to wear all day. She also likes the step counter and heart rate trackers. As parents, we love the watch and its various features. GPS tracking via app is awesome to have and is very accurate. The video and audio calling functions work well and make it easy to stay in… Read more
touch without giving a full smartphone. Disable in class mode can be scheduled on the school days.
Watch has a decent battery life. So far it lasts about two days with all trackers/features enabled. Overall, a solid choice for parents who want to stay connected with their child.
The KidsOClock GL50 smartwatch is easy for children to use, with clear calls, reasonably accurate GPS, and a comfortable, lightweight design. The setup was simple, and the app is straightforward. The main drawback is battery life: even when the watch is barely used by the child, it can lose about 50% in a single day, requiring charging roughly… Read more
every two days. Overall, it is a practical and reliable smartwatch for kids, but longer battery life would improve the experience.
KidsOClock is one of the best gift for my daughter. We got GL50, Now, I need not worry where my daughter goes, as I can track everything from my app. And battery is the best, it last for more than 30hrs. Thanks to KidsOClock for this amazing device which we were after from a longtime. Very happy about my purchase. Show details
My son has been using the GL50 watch for a few months now and it’s been amazing. I love the health features. It’s easy to use. I love that I can track him for peace of mind. It’s great we can contact each other at anytime. Couldn’t be happier with the product. Show details
This is the second KidsOclock we own and we absolutely love it. We purchased this for our daughter as she has just started gymnastic lessons and it gives her piece of mind that she can call us if something happens. The flexibility that this watch offers is perfect for busy families. Thanks Kidsoclock Show details
Watch is great. Easy to set up and make calls and text. Has a few games and can be set to just be a watch during school hours and Gps is a little slow. Needs to be charged every night. What makes it not a good watch is they have no repair or screen replacement options available and their solution to this problem for when a screen gets broken is… Read more
getting you to purchase another watch at a discounted price of $149 plus $9.95 postage. Disappointing as kids wear these watches and chances are they will get broken, so having the ability to get a screen fixed should this happen should be a priority given the cost of the watch itself.
Terrible quality product. My 8-year-old got bumped into a pool 3 days after getting it for Christmas. Instantly died despite not being in the water for more than a few seconds, so "IP67 water resistance" means nothing in reality. Saw Kids O'clock spamming comments saying "not for swimming, your problem", so $250 down the drain. Friends have… Read more

KidsoClock has been a game changer for us! My daughter has started taking the school bus going to school & back home starting next term. We feel more assured as she can check in with us as she gets to the school & when she’s on her way to home. We… Read more
especially love that we can disable the watch during school hours, also limit the contacts she has on her watch. We think we can genuinely put off needing to give her a phone for a bit longer. We have recommended the watch to her friends’ parents and most of the kids in her friend group have gotten it already
Follow-up · My daughter hasn’t used it while swimming yet but it has handled rain or handwashing with no problems. The calls are clear, SMS arrive & received on time. I find the location tracking to be accurate. My daughter & I are still very, very happy with the watch. Another great thing is it’s very easy to get support regarding the product
I purchased the KidsOClock watch for my son when his Spacetalk Adventurer watch stopped working. We wanted to try a different watch as the Spacetalk is quite chunky and the touch screen is not as responsive as it could be. The KidsOClock price was… Read more
excellent and it arrived very quickly after I placed my order. It was quite easy to set up and there was online help that I utilised when I got stuck on setting up the password. The watch is similar in size to an Apple Watch and my son loves the style. He also loves changing the faces. He enjoys keeping track of his step count each day too. The touch screen is responsive and the app is easy to use. It does everything I need it to do such as keeping track of my son’s location and being able to call or text each other. In my opinion it is much better than the last kids smart watch we had been using for several years. I used to have to encourage my son to wear the last one. He loves wearing the KidsOClock and the battery lasts longer than the last watch too. I am extremely happy with KidsOClock watch and so is my son.
Follow-up · The sound quality is excellent. My son often sleeps with it and it is comfortable- I purchased one of the fabric and Velcro watch bands and they are very comfortable. It’s seems to be water resistant as he has got it wet on occasion and it continues to work but I discourage him to get it wet as I understand it is not waterproof.

appreciate features like School Mode, which helps minimise distractions during class while still keeping essential safety features active. It’s been a total win for both of us!
Follow-up · My 10 year old is very active and the watch is holding up well! He finds it comfortable to wear, we charge the watch every night, and it has been fantastic to stay in touch, remind about after school arrangements and pick-ups around sporting activities. It has given me much assurance now he is getting a bit more independent.

We have certainly appreciated the recent successful purchase of our KidsOClock watch and it is proving to be very effective for us. neat "location" function. We're also happy that he is managing the process to keep the watch regularly charged. All in all the purchase and registering process went smoothly for us even though we wouldn't describe ourselves as "tech-savvy". We're sure there are some new features we may discover, but we mainly wanted to ensure both Ben and we could get the basics right to start. We do like the location feature although wonder if we're doing the best process of always needing to let the watch/app take a full minute to identify position ... maybe there's a smarter way, we'll explore more maybe. Thank-you again to KidsOClock for your product and systems.
Here is my review of the KidsOClock GL50: I spent a lot of time researching which kids smart watch would be best for my 10 year old daughter. I chose the KidsOClock GL50 as I wanted something that had video calling, and a few extra fun features as it was a birthday gift. Price point was great in comparison to other watches with similar features … Read more
Pros: Really easy setup, parents control everything via the app on their phone. I have set up the School hours lock easily so she is not distracted by the watch during school The location feature is accurate and really easy to use Battery life is good, lasts easily for over 24 hours before needing to charge. My daughter loves the AI features, without it being too excessive for my liking, Size of the watch is great, my daughter has tiny wrists and has no problems wearing it all day Excellent service from the company. They sent me the wrong watch strap and promptly sent me the correct one once I notified them,
Cons: AI feature often mishears her when she uses the voice controls. Unique charger head that I haven't seen in stores, so I recommended getting a second one
Overall very happy with this choice!
Our 7-year-old recently started using the Kid-o-Clock GL50 watch, and overall, it’s been a fantastic investment for our family’s peace of mind. I especially like the "school times" feature, which keeps him focused… Read more
during class. Kid-Friendly Interface: It’s very easy for a 7-year-old to navigate. He can call his saved contacts or send us a message without any frustration. Reliable Tracking: The GPS tracking works well, which is our primary reason for getting it. Perfect Size: The screen is large enough to read messages clearly, but the watch itself isn't too bulky for a child's wrist. Area for improvement:
The only downside has been the AI functionality. It doesn't "talk back" and struggled to understand even basic questions. We found it a bit clunky, so we’ve turned it off for now (you can do this in the app). We’d love to see a software update to make this feature more interactive and responsive.
Final Verdict: Despite the AI, the core safety and communication features are excellent. If you’re looking for a reliable way to stay connected with your child, this is a solid choice!

I bought 2 GL50 watches for our 10 year old sons. They love the look and comfort of the watches. As a parent we love the ability to send them on their way to school each day, knowing they dont wander off track and reach it safely. The ability for us to also send them a sime message or call if we are running late at school pick-up time. My youngest boy now wants one of his own. Highly recommended the KidsOClick watch over any other brand.
So far, we are really happy with the KidsClock watch. My daughter wears it to school every day. kids. My only complaint is about the shipping. Our first package arrived incomplete, missing the two extra straps, with no note or explanation. I had to reach out to customer service to check when the rest of my order would be delivered.( and we still waiting for our blue strap after one month)
So far, so good. It's been great to give our 10-year-old a bit more independence while still knowing we can contact him if needed. The watch was easy to set up after the initial software update, and since then it's worked really well. Show details
Negative reviews
purchased this kids’ watch for around $250 (GL50) and had a very disappointing experience. The watch developed water damage even though it was never exposed to water directly. It was only used under normal conditions such as light moisture and rain, which is exactly the kind of everyday exposure you would expect for a kids’ watch. Despite this,… Read more
the device failed after 1 Year.
When I raised a warranty claim, it was rejected because it was just 10 days out of warranty, with no flexibility or consideration given to the situation. I was then told a replacement would cost $150 (GL50 model), which is still very expensive given the original purchase price and early failure.
For a product marketed toward children, I expected much better durability and fairer customer support. Unfortunately, both were lacking.
I would not recommend this product to other parents.
Bought this KidsOClock “IP67 waterproof” kids watch, and it stopped working after my son wore it in the rain—just two months after purchase. confirmed it was “water damage” and refused any refund or replacement.
They completely ignored my question about why a product advertised as IP67 couldn’t even handle rain. Instead, they just kept repeating that water damage isn’t covered.
Very disappointing experience. Be careful before buying—this product did not perform as advertised, and the customer service was frustrating and unhelpful.

My 10 yo had this watch for 3 months and unfortunately it stopped working after getting wet from rain. KidsOClock said the watch was water damaged and not covered by the warranty and my only option was to buy a brand-new watch. This is unacceptable for a watch they advertised as having ip67 Water Rating but is rendered useless from rain. The… Read more
responses from KidsOClock has been very efficient but very I'm very disappointed in the lifespan and lack of useability of this device that really isn't designed for useability or longevity. Unfortunately it's very expensive for an item that lasted 3 months. The watch really can't take any water exposure and given how hard it is to predict rain in Melbourne. Strongly recommend avoiding this product.

We bought the GL50 bundle and are very happy, after researching, comparing about four alternatives and discussing our options for quite some time. We bought the GL50 watches for our children (aged 10 & 11) for Christmas. Within days our son had a bad fall on his bike, and he was able to call us to come and get him. We find the watch extremely helpful. My son has always wanted to ride to school. My daughter is 8 and LOVES her new watch! We love the security of knowing she can contact us anytime if she’s on a play date. We purchased a KidsOClock watch for our 10 year old son. It has been incredible for his independence, without having to go the full way to a phone. It was easy to set up and is easy for both of us to use. The watch gives me security that he is safe when he wants to do things on his own and it allows him to feel grown up. I would highly recommend the watch.
