5 Bec  · I love this for my daughter, she has a chores chart to follow for which she can earn pocket money. It’s fun for her & a great learning tool too.
5 Edna L.  · Enjoying the app, and the options available for both kids and parents!
4 Lorraine  · Great app for first banking experience. Only thing I don't like is the parent can't transfer from the linked youth account easily.
5 Skye  · Very easy to set up and use; good customer service when I had questions; great app. Highly recommend esp if already a CBA customer
5 Peter  · Really great app to help my kids learn the value of money!
5 Hasnehan  · Goated – I have used kit for 2 months now and its been AWSOME! Must get this

Love it! – As a family we love Kit. The kids are learning so much and having fun doing it, and they are learning what is relevant to today's world. They are learning how to earn money, being accountable to checking of their jobs regularly and having it submitted before payday, like you would a time-sheet in a real workplace. They are then learning about… Read more ·  1

saving and spending, setting goals and reaching them. Importantly about the safety and security of having a card, pin numbers etc. Highly recommend Kit to any family, if you as a parent are not a CommBank customer you can still use Kit and the subscription is very reasonable, Bonus is if you are a CommBank customer then you can qualify for free.

My kids love the Kit money app and prepaid card – My kids have been using the Kit app for over a year now. They design what chores they want to do in return for their weekly pocket money. They love getting a "Kit tick" as they call it when they've completed one like taking the bins out or making their packed lunch. Before they use their Kit prepaid card in a store we quickly check the app to see… Read more ·  1

how much is on their balance. They love the Kit character, my older daughter loves the in app stories, my younger daughter is probably more into the jokes Kit tells at the moment.

So far so good! – After a few hiccups with the setting up process and a few emails, which were replied to on the same day ( thank you) my kids accounts are up and running they love their cards and now things have been getting done at home, so they can earn their pocket money. Very happy customer Show reply

Love the concept, but would work better if you could set the jobs as daily - could only do minimum of weekly - meaning we still need to keep another record and then remember to tick them on the app on day 7 so they get paid.

Follow-up  · Daily jobs include making their beds, emptying the dishwasher, emptying school bags. Currently use the Garmin Jnr app to track daily jobs.

My daughter and I love it. She does the chores with out asking, so she can get paid. I use the app as an excuss to make sure she ticks off her jobs, so she can get paid. If she did half the jobs i would still put the money in. It means i'm not seen to be shelling out cash when ever. its not expected. The App is fun and teaches her to save. Show details

I'm happy with the app. I don't use the function to pay for daily or weekly chores as my daughter dosent do weekly chores. I just transfer funds when ever she completes them. Best of all, there is no transactions or hidden fees. She can easily view her pay and I get alerts of her spending . Total control and secure. I'm happy with the App. Show reply

Easy to use and link the link to adult bank accounts and banking for younger people has been a great discussion in our house. Great to have the physical card too. Show reply

Teaches kids responsibility and accountability. App can be glitchy/non-responsive at times which can be frustrating. I (and the kids) would prefer if the payment for a task is immediate, rather than waiting seven days. Wasn't clear how to 'approve' funds in the beginning but getting the hang of it now. Kids love having a physical card. They also… Read more

enjoy playing the games to earn winkets for their avatars. Only in the early stages of using the cards but hopefully they will keep improving the use and app.

We have been a user of Sp*** for some time and I thought to try and switch to Kit as Commbank Yelo member. However, the experience was not satisfactory. Things that comes to mind are, 1) the card style is not appealing to teenagers, 2) Kids cannot have their own username for the app, parents should sign-in, 3) the UI is not smooth, a bit… Read more

unfriendly compared to our previous experiences. So, we just decided not to go further with Kit and didn't really test capabilities much. I believe there are lots of room for improvements.

Mixed experiences so far - kids love the app. We’ve had some issues with jobs being ticked off but no pocket money being received and tech support has been slow. Overall I think Spriggy is easier to use and less glitchy.

I'm a 12-year-old boy and I started using this around 18 months ago and it has been great. the responsibility you earn along with the newfound independence was so good! the debit was great and can be used pretty much everywhere the app is clean and easy to use with lots of learning tools to get you to learn about stuff like interest or savings. it… Read more ·  1

Pros: App is good, easy to use, my child loves the kid friendly nature and has completed all the mini learning games that teach the terms of money management in an easy fun way. Easy to send money which is recieved instantly Goal setting is easy for my child to grasp and set herself Able to tap and pay at shops and online with restrictions on gambling Cons: Cant check account balance at commonwealth bank ATMS - seems like a shortcoming

Good concept and learning materials are great. Good tool once you get used to the navigation. Fee free with some banks subscriptions. The interface can be slow, hangs occasionally and navigation is not obvious... It's not easy for a little user who will need a parent to assist often. The navigation took some time to get used too even as an adult.… Read more

You can't retrospectively ticket off last week's job if you miss the last day, which is good for behavioural training but difficult for non-nuclear families... e.g. the app is glitchy, the kids can't self help when the other parent can't be bothered.... so no pocket money every second week in this family. Had some initial issues linking 1 of 2 kids bank accounts, but resolved with support by unlinking, clearing kit app cache, reinstalling app and relinking.

Love it – Super happy with the product, my son is a lot more conscious of spending his money when he can see the figure on the app. Great he can have a physical card and love the automated payments and quick transfers. If I had any suggestions for improvements, it’s hard to track what days tasks/ chores were completed on. You can select how many days in a… Read more ·  1

week a chore can be ticked off (ie make bed 7 times - in a week), but it would be great if you could actually nominate days Monday - Sunday so you can see and keep track of what days the jobs were completed. Then you don’t double up on ticking off a job if you forget you’ve already ticked it off. And sometimes I don’t know if he has ticked off a job for the day (so he ends up missing a few days each week)

Zero stars – I wish I could give it zero stars. I have been trying to get tla physical card as one was not posted automatically despite being told it would be. After 3 days of messaging I now have to go in with photo id for myself and my child - my child does not have government issued photo id. I work during bank operating hours. I have a very disappointed child, we are still needing to use cash for everything, and I have wasted time and money

Finally a simple digital solution – Super happy to have come across kit. I have two children and keeping up with their pocket money with work schedule wasn't easy. I didn't want them to manage the coins and notes and there weren't many dedicated solutions. Kit solved it, super easy for the kids to manage their cashflow online. Linking parent's account takes the need to login into my bank away. Show reply

Perfect banking app for kids – Love the kit app and bank card for my kids, especially them being able to have different “stacks” which allows them to split their savings into different goals. Gone are the days of oweing them pocket money because I didn’t have cash on me to pay them each week- the app automatically transfers their pocket money to them when they have completed… Read more ·  1

Wonderful all round tool – Kit is the best ‘chore’ app out there, with all the functions of a kid safe bank account and card. When I initially joined kit it was for the chore/reward function only as I had tried a number of other chore apps which I found difficult to use and frustrating in the long run. I’ve been a part of the kit journey since the very end of the beta and… Read more ·  1

the admin involved are super responsive, open to feedback and constantly trying to improve. There has been a couple of occasions where I’ve needed to reach out to support and been very happy with the response.

The app itself is well thought out and constantly being updated/improved on. I’m an early childhood teacher and generally sceptical of ‘big banks’ targeting our kids, however the app provides real world, kid friendly learning that I think is so valuable in this day and age. An example of this is a little mini-game/quest in which children learn to identify scams they may receive via txt or email. I sat along side my 8yr old as she completed this and was really impressed.

This app really wraps learning/money/chores into a great little bundle.

DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL – Seems great. Until you actually have to try and talk to a real person. There is not a single phone number to speak to anyone. While Kit & CBA are connected, it's important to note that Kit is actually managed by Hay Bank. I tried to withdraw cash from an ATM for my daughter 2 days ago. It held the money in "shopping". Then when we tried… Read more

again, it transferred money to a local business. I have sent multiple emails to Kit, called CBA and Shaype, another managing company. No Luck in finding anything out about what is actually happening. There is absolutely no contact number for Hay Bank OR Shaype. CBA have been as helpful as a bank can be that don't actually manage the bank account

Fees incoming! – My kids love their KIT accounts. What a shame that Con Bank has decided to start charging monthly fees on accounts. "We're trying to keep our fees as low as possible to cover the cost of the card and account" Con Bank said. Gee, times are tough for the big banks; they must be struggling to make ends meet. Disgusting. As soon as my fee free trial ends, I will leave. Show details

Perfect app!! Kids love it! – Highly recommend kit for every kid. My kids love tracking their savings and the freedom of having their own digital card that they can use when they’re out with their friends. We also took kit as an opportunity to talk to kids about the importance of money management. Show reply

Getting better but no interest and no automatic transfers – This is a great tool and the app is only getting better with each release. Having said that, there are a few enhancements that could be made. #1 - automatic % transfers into other accounts/stacks. This would mean 50% could go to savings, 20% to give, and to remain in the spend account. #2 - interest to encourage savings. Pretty self explanatory but stacks should attract some interest if you don’t withdraw for a month. Show reply

Amazing app with lots of learning for parents and kids – I love the concept of the app. In addition to teaching children about financial capabilities, this app is easy to use and my children absolutely love it. Every time, they think of buying a toy, their first thought is I have to earn it and make sure I have enough. Show reply
