KitchenAid Silicone Ladle

Silicone soup ladle quality not as anticipated – I bought this ladle with safety in mind to prevent burns from heat transfer from hot liquids. Positives It is made of silicone and the length (33cm/13in) is great in deep stock pots. Heat resistant Dishwasher safe Good for use with all cooktops with heat up to 232oC (450oF) Negatives Although it does have safety, I have found it quite challenging to clean and use. The base ladle itself is quite heavy without liquid in it, and I feel it is awkward to lift and turn to serve. It doesn't look terrific as a single long silicone tool - it is the nature of silicone to feel sticky and be matt, but in black it is a bit intense. Especially as food and oil seems to cost it, rather than come straight off. The only way for me to clean it easily was to place it in the dishwasher.
