Incorrect manual, unstable and cheap wood, breaks easily – I would give this zero stars if I could. The instruction manual is incorrectly labeled at many points, the wood splits and peels at the slightest pressure and putting it together is painful because of how rickety and unstable it is. Screws are also necessary to build it but they come out of the sides super easily and destroy the wood. A cheap price is not worth the hour of pain of setting it up and inevitable disappointment when it collapses over all your belongings from its weak structure and phony material.

The worst flatpack I have ever constructed – Can I give it a minus 5 stars? As a DIY/woodworker who has constructed a lot of flatpacks, I was asked to construct this product for someone in the community. It is definitely the worst quality flatpack I have ever seen. I was expecting to see another dirt cheap discount store label on it, but this is Kmart rubbish. They supply oversized screws for the width of the 'wood' which is just glued together woodchips covered in grey/white laminate (not a fresh white like IKEA supplies - those flatpacks are vastly superior in every way). Then they supply little round white stickers to cover screw holes, rather than supply plastic plugs. How tight can their purchasing department be? It's so awful and I felt like just abandoning the project. DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you want a quick lesson in extreme frustration. Stop buying rubbish and then society may respond with a flood of better quality furniture.

I am happy to discuss further. I had to make it for someone not disclosed to me as I am a member of a woodworking group. I asked them who bought this piece (because I couldn't believe how bad it was) and was told it was just for a client. I will pass on your suggestion for refund and will get pictures if it hasn't already left our workshop. I really do think this lack of quality needs to be addressed because there are flatpacks, and this is well below standard. All I saw was the sticker on one of the panels that said K-Mart on it. I was a little surprised at that and expected it to be from another discount store. It took me twice as long to construct because of the set of incorrect screws supplied for the width of the panels (I checked that I had the correct letters for the parts), and the client had obviously already struggled with it because they had blown the width of the panel by trying to insert oversized screws in there. It was impossible to make good given what I had to work with. I only hope K-Mart has a serious think going forward, and I appreciate your response, but it needed to be said all the same.
Great value Kmart furniture! – I needed it for a bit of extra storage in my daughters room and to fill an empty corner without compromising on space or costing a fortune. Simple instructions and super easy to assemble without needing another pair of hands. I purchased 4x collapsible storage cubes from Kmart and a pair of Scandi furniture legs online and am thrilled with how this came together. All round a very nice addition to the bedroom on a very small budget.
