Kmart Mini Exercise Bike

Removed the rubber from metal supporting pedal as it was tearing and making a noise due to friction. Watch out the metal gets hot(there is a warning stating burn hazard) the CNT function intermittently stops for no reason. It does slide around a bit. I push it up to a heavy coffee table leg so it stays in one place. The stirrups are pretty… Read more
useless as not adjustable. I use other side of pedal instead. The resistance knob doesnt work. I have on as tight as possible yet the pedals move very freely. Little disappointed but $35 was a good price for a daily circulation booster.
Worth the money. Handy to have – The mini bike is easy to use and will help with my arthritis and swelling. Only one thing wrong. The resistance knob works for hands and not for feet. But I am still happy with the mini bike. Show details · 1
Not adjustable foot straps – Unfortunately the foot straps are not adjustable and a sneaker would not fit into the foot holder. Very disappointed because the picture shows a man’s foot wearing a sneaker. So this is not an accurate representation of the product. My physiotherapist said to wear my sneakers. So it unfortunately it had to be returned. The product moved a lot when attempting to try it out.

Tedious because of having to stop and keep moving the bike into position – Have only just started using the mini bike, but it does move on the carpet. It means I have to stop pedaling and move the bike backwards, so I'm not really exercising my legs as I like. For the price, I'll just put up with it. Show details
Mini exercise bike – The mini exercise bike is far too light and the base is not wide enough therefore it would not stay in one place which made it almost impossible to use. I had no problems returning it. Show details

Meh, OK I guess – Purchased from Kmart. Works fine and is useful but the timer stopped working, despite changing the battery to a new one. Frustrating because I want to count my calorie loss and I've looked online to figure out how to fix this issue and come up with nothing. It will count to a certain point and then just freezes. Also frustrating how much it slips on the ground while using it.

Brilliant – I bought this for my knee issues,I use it inside on the carpet sitting upright on a chair while watching T.V. .I can’t afford a stationary bike so thought for $35.00 it was worth trying,to be honest I wasn't expecting much turns out it is brilliant. I can put it on the kitchen counter and work on my arms as well It has an LCD display for… Read more · 3
time, calories, count and RPM. It was easy to put together…it simply clicks into place. It has a brace on each pedal to keep your feet or your hands in place. It comes with a twelve month warranty. The computer operates with a one piece button battery,it is auto powered when you start to exercise. The computer will automatically shut off when no movement is detected for five minutes. Using it regularly stimulates blood circulation and increases muscle strength. It is a great way to enjoy a moderate cardiovascular workout in the comfort of your home. It is sturdy being made from tubular steel and can be stored conveniently out of the way when not in use.
Great little machine for a knee injury – Works really well. My only fault is that it moves and the chrome gets really hot. I glued the end pieces as they were turning around and put non slip on the base. Works a treat. I use it on carpet in an upright chair. Show details · 1
Can not use – Looked good and the first 2 times I used it post knee surgery, it worked well. Then the feet grips started sliding off so you have to use sideways pressure to keep your feet on and that damages the new knee. As soon as I can walk, I will be returning this. Show details

Good enough – It gets the job done, I use it under my desk at work to get some movement into my day and it works well enough. However there are a few things to consider before buying. You will need to stick Velcro strips to the bottom to stop it from sliding, or you can position against a wall. The resistance knob doesn't work, so it won't give you a hard work… Read more
out but it is enough to get blood flowing. The metal cranks get VERY hot after use, so you have to be sure not to knock it with your foot or touch it when your finished. But it does cool back down relatively quickly. Overall, it does the job and its a pretty good price!
It’s good for a start with price – I bought this for post ankle surgery. I just wanted gentle movement which suits me. I just use it with socks. You may have to rest it against a wall to stop movement but it does the trick. I’ll try Velcro as well. Show details
Thank you for the review, Marise.
OK for such a low price – Comes pre-assembled. Lightweight, easy to stow away in the bottom of a wardrobe. The instructions don't mention the resistance knob. The knob makes no difference, so don't expect a "tough" workout. If it did make a difference, the calorie count would have to change with greater resistance, but it doesn't. Then again, I take the calorie count with… Read more · 1
a grain of salt, and I'd have been perfectly happy if the LCD readout "computer" wasn't included. As it's lightweight, the whole thing moves around a bit, but backed up against a wall it's fine. I can't vouch for its longevity, as I've only had it a week.
Follow-up. Three months later, May 2022, and the plastic has cracked and it's beginning to fall apart. I took it back to Kmart and they refunded my $32 without an argument. I then bought another, for $35. I wonder whether I'll be back in another few months. It's only been used for about half an hour per week.
One other thing. I noticed a few weeks ago that after it had been used in the same place for many weeks, it had created a slight grey stain on the carpet. I presume it's from a fine oily mist that it exudes. The stain was removed with a good stain remover. I've put a towel under it ever since.
Slides around on floor too much – Slides around on floor too much - makes it impossible to use properly. Very weak resistance even when at full strength. Not worth the low price tag. Definitely do not buy.

Good basic mini exercise bike – It's a good starting point for those wanting to increase their activity at home. Cheap, basic, and mostly comes set up in the box. A few complaints though: it's not very sturdy (definitely couldn't go too fast/be very rough with it), it slides around on higher resistance, the height doesn't adjust which can make posture awkward, the pedals don't… Read more
hold my feet very well, and the manual was pretty useless (some parts have dodgy English, and while the bike comes with a little knob to increase resistance, it doesn't mention this knob/where to screw it in/how to use it anywhere in the manual). All in all in happy with it, but you definitely get what you pay for in this instance.
I love it!!! – I use this every night for 4 hours. I did have to stick some Velcro on the feet for traction so it wouldn't slide on the floor. I've lost 50+ kgs using this for 12 months Show details
Just slides all over the floor – It just slides all over the floor as you attempt to use it, even if you pedal slowly, which makes it basically completely useless. The resistance doesn't work at all. Show details
Better than nothing – It slides far too much to use sitting down and the resistance is terrible. Used laying down with it propped up against a wall as I watch tv is ok Show details
What an piece of junk – Horrible, has resistance knob but it gives no resistance, the pedals are too small to fit regular gym shoes in. It wobbles when you use it and i have almost burned my hand 3 times as the metal bar gets so hot after you use it. It horrible I wont return it but yes what a joke. Show details
A few fixes by manufacturer & it can be a 5 star – 1 star - price (tick), 1 star - weight (tick), 1/2 - star use (tick), 0 star - pedal resistance adjustment (no tick); none whatsoever. You get a knob preciously wrapped in big foam case, but it doesn’t work. 0 star - stability (no tick), regardless of type of surface the bike is on; tiles, carpet, rubber liner or a large arm chair wedged on… Read more
the other end. The equipment would slide away while pedalling. 1/2 start - (tick) Kmart refunding. But I’m aware that the item now becomes landfill :(
I guess when you return an item it wouldn’t warrant any stars. But if you find a solution without having to outlay money to fix these last 2 items. Good on you!
A fantastic product – This mini exercise bike, is pure perfection, its light, but sturdy...easy to fit under a table & it just disappears there, so it doesn't stand out..easy to use & you can feel even with a little bit of use, the benefits...great too for people, who are unwell & don't really exercise much..I'd recommend it to one & all & if you use it in front of the… Read more
TV, you don't even realise you're exercising & once you start using it, you want to keep using it..the cheaper price, is just a wonderful bonus.
