Chooks can't sweat best bet is to use a Sprinkler upwind from them and they raise their wings to cool blood in under wings . A Sprinkler or rook can also help and topping up their water with cool water also helps ..

Are these coming back into stock for summer?
My two also punctured a hole in their mats easily however I just used some gorilla tape. They’re more tape than original mat now though :D

Yes, OK for cats. I have 2 cats and they use it in summer when the dog is not on the mat.
