Kmart Silicon Cooking Utensils

Great value silicon cooking utensils – These Kmart utensils are pretty good for both regular and non-stick cookware. I have been looking for proper heat-resistant silicon utensils but can only find nylon ones that tend to warp at high heat, so was rather chuffed when I saw this $10 set of 4 at Kmart. At $10, it was worth a try. I found the pieces sturdy though a little awkward to use due to the dead straight design from handle to head. An angled handle would have been better ergonomically.

So far, the pieces I have found myself reaching for most often are the slotted fish slice for general frying, the spatula with its thin edges for flipping fried eggs and pancakes, and the spoon for curries and casseroles. I haven’t yet reached for the slotted spoon.
