Kmart Trekking Hiking Pole

Handy for backup walking stick – Bought this when out & about Christmas shopping as I had left my walking stick home. Ideal for use around the office and work with much less stigma then using a walking stick for light support when my knee is inflamed.also used it going home too. Have used it for 2 weeks, no sign of wear as yet. Very happy as it doesn't hurt my hand as much Only thing is the strong chemical smell of the handle.
Purchased in at Kmart for $9.50.
Good for a short hike, won't last long – We went for a 3 day hike (a 60 км section of the Cape to Cape walk in WA). I bought the set from KMart. - rubber caps on the tips (ones which just make it nicer when walk over the hard surface, like rock or asphalt) were gone on day 2. I just noticed that one of them is not there anymore after few hours on day 1, the same happened with the second day. The pole is still fully functional without the rubber endю - on day 3 one of the poles have lost the metal hard tip. Same things - just gone unnoticed. This is bad as the pole won't last long after this.
To compare - The set from Anaconda (https://www.anacondastores.com/camping-hiking/equipment/denali-tramper-walking-poles 35 with discount or 60 regular) is construction wise exactly the same but held well all 60 Ks.
Conclusion - poles from KMART, can be a good fit for easy 1 day hike, however if you walk regularly, look for alternatives.
