I have my kaled39smtwa tv connected to a Bose SoundTouch 120 Home Theater System. They are connected from the tv HDMI2 to the Bose HDMI/TV. The sound of the tv cannot get through to the Bose. I have tried connecting the RCA audio red and white "outputs" to the Bose RCA red and white inputs, but to no avail. The Kaled39ssmtwa does not have a optical output unfortunately.

It appears the TV HDMI is not "ARC" enabled. The Bose HDMi-CEC is turned on by default.

Is that any other way to get the TV sound through to the Bose?

Thanks

Ben

Honestly, it sound pretty complicated to me, why don't you try talking to the amazing guys at the store where you bought it (they are always my "go to") they may be able to help, sorry and good luck

I bought the tv via Kogan online.

All other devices such as Apple TV, satellite receiver and DVD player connected to the Bose HDMI work fine. Their audio was able to send to the Bose. Except the Kogan TV doesn't

Hi Ben, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, this model of TV is not ARC compatible, so it is not possible to pass your TV's audio to your Home Theatre system via the HDMI connection. Looking at the home theatre you're using, you should be able to connect the TV's 'Coaxial' output to it, although you will need to access your TV's Sound menu and activate the TV's SPDIF mode.

What is the correct URC code for the use of a One for All 7110 R01 universal remote gor use on a KALED39SMTWA LED TV?

After some Googling, it appears your universal remote doesn't support that model of tv. I'm not sure if this link is to the direct result I got but the site ahould still help. First Google search was "7110 universal remote codes" then I put your tv model into the device search on the page.

Hope it helps!

Hey Raul, contact Kogan as they have replacement remotes on their site. Mine broke and they no longer had them in stock so i got a Logitech harmony remote which runs several devices. You just need to check that the remote supports the TV before you purchase it

I believe that there is an app you can download specifically for Kogan? Im not sure whether there are other remotes that are compatible.

I have a KALED39SMTWA which won't turn on at all it has the red power indicator but it's completely unresponsive. I have unplugged it for 15 minutes and then held power in for 5 seconds before plugging back in to do the power cycle but still nothing. I'm getting seriously frustrated with the problem. Any ideas?

Hi, sounds similar to the issue I experienced and was able to fix after contacting Kogan # 1300 304 292. You'll need to download the firmware files to a USB which you then allow your tv to download. Just follow the instructions and you should be up and running like new. Good luck!
